  • My video camera will not zoom since installing iOS 7

Since installing  iOS 7 on my ipad retina the video will not zoom during recording. In iOS 6 I could zoom the recorded video.
    Any answers please.

Me too. Since upgrading to iOS7, Siri  gives me "I'm sorry about this..." MOST of the time. Fine on weather; 100%, but if I ask to send someone a message or text, it 'thinks' for a long time and eventually says "I'm really sorry about this". My friend's iPhone 5 works instantly, side by side; completely different yet same version of iOS and all settings same. I've tried everything: hard resets, switching Siri on and off, reset net prefs and all settings, even tried a different sim, everything I can think of, but Siri is still slow, unresponsive and 100% fails on complex tasks. Anyone any more ideas?

  • TS3992 Icloud backup does not completed after install IOS 8

I recently installed iOS 8 on my iPhone 5s (32 GB). Prior to the install, I had just enough storage to backup on iCloud. However, after the install, it is saying "[a]n additional 3.1 GB of storage is required. This is puzzling because under Manage Storage it says that I have 4.3 GB worth of backups (3.6 for iPhone and 731 MB for iPad), which is within the 5 GB of free storage. In addition when I try to Backup my Iphone several times show me that the Backup is not completed and the last back up was before install IOS 8(17 Sept)
it is probably something to do with the iOS 8 update. This could be the case, although I downloaded and installed iOS 8 via Iphone wireless update, so nothing (I'm guessing?) should have been downloaded onto the phone.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I am having this problem too and I saw on another board that it is because it is keeping the copy from ios7 instead of replacing it w/the new one and that the solution is to delete the old backup. I have not verified that this is the correct answer yet as I do not know how to do that, but at least it may get you one step closer.

  • IMessage and push notifications not working after installing iOS 7!!

My iMessages and push notifications don't work after installing iOS7..!!! I can't even log in to iMessages using my Apple ID.. And every time I log into Facebook or whatsapp it keeps telling me to connect to iTunes to receive push notifications..!!
I connected to iTunes on my comp and tried resetting my phone.. Nothing works!! HELP

Its stuffed, iMessage and facetime are both sitting on "waiting for activation" so they are not working, 1 post suggested resetting the phone again setting up as a new phone and then turning iMessage and Facetime on and then restoring.  After the reset iMessage and Facetime started working, I did the restore and it stopped working again.  Nice waste of 2 hours.

  • Mail stopped working on iPad & iPhone, but not G5, after installing iOS 7.

Here we have a G5, an iPhone-4 and an iPad all linked to the same POP account.  Mail fetching on all three devices had been working fine.
Earlier this week (10/23 or 10/24), however, Mail on both the iPhone and the iPad quit working shortly after our having installed iOS 7 on each of them.   This could be a coincidence, but Mail on a G5 running 10.5.8 linked to the same account is still fetching and sending mail just fine.
Every time we swipe down on the message list (the gesture to fetch new mail) in Mail on the iPad, an error message appears,
    Cannot Get Mail
The user name or password for
    "Primary Mail Account" is incorrect
    Settings   |    OK
An analogous gesture on the iPhone produces the same message.
But Mail on the G5 (running 10.5.8) still works fine to fetch mail from the same POP account.
    Here are some details:
About two weeks ago, we installed iOS 7 on the iPad and the iPhone.  Mail continued to work after the installation.
About a week later, last Wednesday, 10/23, the iPad went through a spontaneous installation event, in which the multilingual series of "Hello!" images familiar to those who install Mac operating systems floated across the screen.  Apparently, this event installed iOS 7.0.3.  There followed a short series of initialization dialogs, then everything seemed to work OK.
Except that Mail wasn't working.  This could be a coincidence, but Mail on this iPad has not worked since last Wednesday.  The last message received is dated last Wednesday.
We don't know whether the iPhone went through a similar event, but Mail quit working on it, as well.  Mail on this iPhone now gets the same message, above, as on the iPad.  The last message received by the iPhone was last Thursday, 10/24.  The iPhone's iOS is now 7.0.2.  The iPhone says that iOS 7.0.3 is downloaded, but not yet installed.
We compared the settings for Mail on the G5, on which Mail is still working, against the settings on the iPad and the iPhone.  They all seem pretty much the same.
Have you heard of anyone else with this problem, or might you have an idea how to research it?

That worked!  A couple of notes for anyone with the same problem:
I thought I'd be clever and create a new account before deleting the old one.  That didn't work, as "Settings" kept insisting that the account had already been created.  I had actually to delete the old account and create a new one from nada.
I was careful to write down all the settings parameters first.  Even so, it took a few tries to get everything spelled right.  Fortunately, "Settings" checked everything carefully and its messages pointed to the right places.
I still got the same error message the first time i relaunched Mail.  However, this time I chose the "OK" option.  Since then and thereafter it seems to be working.
    Thanks for your help, lizdance40.

  • Photos and iBook not syncing after installing ios 6

I installed iOS 6 and now photo stream isn't working and book marks aren't syncing between my iPhone 4 and iPad 2. I checked the setting they should be working anybody have any idea?

So last night I plugged my iPhone in to charge over night. This morning I open my iBook and the page changed to the book mark to match my iPad. So I decided to check out the photo stream and low and behold photo stream updates as well. Interesting, I wonder if Apple was doing maintainance to iCloud. May that was my problem. I'll have to keep an eye on this.

  • After installing iOS 8.0.2, I thought it would resolve my problems on my iPad, still can't play some of my games, they won't open. HELP

Some of my games will not play after installing ios 8 & ios 8.0.2. I go to open Royal envoy and it just shuts down. Any ideas. Thanks

Try the reset below. If that doesn't work contact the game developer for a IOS 8 update.. Two of my games didn't open and I've already recieved updates and the games work fine.
Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.

  • HT4623 how do I either: 1) turn off comptability feature, or 2) up grade the .exe to be compatable with the iphone  ios 6.0.1 software.  The computer will not recognize the phone.

How do I either: 1) turn off comptability feature, or 2) up grade the .exe to be compatable with the iphone  ios 6.0.1 software.  The computer will not recognize the phone.  I reinstalled itunes, but it still does not work.

What are you talking about? There is no "compatibility feature" on the iPhone, and .exe files won't run on the phone.
Please slow down and explain exactly what you're trying to do and what happens when you try.
