HT4528 my apple id is not right when i try to update some app.

ok for some reason my email add. is the wrong add. when my apple id comes up how do i get my email add. there ?

You might want to check one of these apps just to be sure.  If you open iTunes on your computer and click on Apps on the top left under Library, then to the right, right-click on one of these apps that is showing the address you think is wrong when you update it, select Get Info, go to Summary tab and look for Account Name.  This Account Name is the Apple ID used to purchase the app and this is the ID that should appear when you update it.
If the shown in Get Info is not the ID that is showing when you update, you should contact iTunes support for help with this: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.

How do i delete an delete delete an old Apple ID that only appears when I try to update my apps..a

All of the purchase you made on the old AppleID are permanently connected to that AppleID. The only way you can get rid of it is to repurchase everything again with the new AppleID.

  • Old apple id keeps popping up when i try to update/download apps

I don't use the old apple id anymore because i don't remember the password so I made a new account, but when I try to update/download apps, it asks me for my old account information even though the ipad is connected to my new account. How do I get rid of this and make it so that it stops asking for the old account information and just use my new one?

I bought a used iphone can someone tell me how to change the apple id on phone please. Thank You!
Here is a thread about someone who'd bought a used iPhone tied to a former owners Apple ID.
Perhaps something there may be of help. There is a safeguard idea behind an owner and their
Apple ID, and most sellers would ready their product for re-sale, and remove their Apple ID as
well as any other account or purchased apps, that are not transferable to some other person.
    Good luck in this matter!

  • HT5622 my apple ID will not work when i try to update my installed apps.  it works fine for itunes and for new apps.

when i try to update my installed apps, my password is not accepted.  it works for everything else.  any ideas?

Those apps must have been purchased under a different Apple ID. You will have to delete and re-purchase/re-download them under the new one to solve this issue.

  • My iPhone was originally under my husband's apple id but now we have separate accounts. His apple id still shows up when I try to update my apps. How to I change it to my apple id?

Originally my iPhone was under a joint iTunes account with my spouse. We've recently split and now have separate plans and apple ID's. I've entered the new ID in the phone settings but when I go to update the apps on my phone, it still shows up with his accoutn and asks for his password. How do I change that?

All apps are tied to the apple ID used to buy/download them.
If you don't want to be asked for his ID-delete all the apps and download them under your account.

  • I changed my apple id and even though I've logged out and in, and updated everything, I still get "your apple id has been disabled" when I try to update my apps. Help?

I changed my apple id because my email has changed. I've updated everything I can think of on my iPhone. I've logged out and back in and I still get a " your apple id has been disabled" message every time I try to update my apps. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm sure there's an easy solution but I've tried all the tutorials on apple.com and nothing works. Can anyone help?

When you say you have changed your Apple ID, how did you change it? Did you maintain your existing Apple ID via Manage your Apple ID and EDIT it to a new email address, or did you set up a brand new Apple ID?
    Cheers,

  • My wife and I chaged phones, I updated the apple ID account info but when I try to update any app or download any app, still appears the old username, how do I resolve that?

I update the info in the pc (itunes). Everytime I the app store ask for my password, the username is incorrect. If I go to the account information, there in the app store, the username is correct. Any advice? Thanks.

You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

  • When i try to update some apps  theres another email that appears how can i get that changed

my email does not appear on any of my updates

That usually happens when apps have been purchased/downloaded with another Apple ID. The apps are locked to the Apple ID used to download/purchase them. You would need to delete those apps and download again using your Apple ID.

  • Why when i try to update an app whith my new e-mail, it asks for the password of the old e-mail?

I recently changed my e-mail because I moved to U.S.A. so I could have the U.S.A. store. When I try to update some apps with my new e-mail, it asks me the password of the old e-mail, ahd that e-mail doesn't work because its not from U.S.A.

Apps are tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase them and you will always need to use that ID and password in order to update them.
Saying that you do get to update them on your new details makes no sense at all.

  • I'm signed in to my account on my macbook air's apple store, but when I try to update any apps, it has a locked in apple store user which is not mine, any help removing this?

I'm signed in to my account on my macbook air's apple store, but when I try to update any apps, it has a locked in apple store user which is not mine. I have no idea where this user came from, but I need to update my apps and get this user off my computer. The users email is locked, it is grey in colour and I can not get it off. I've tried my system settings and the app store, logging in does not change the fact that there is a strange email there. I need help, please! I don't know if this is a hack or what, I brought my computer into the shop to get some work done so it may be their account, I just need the account removed.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
    Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
    Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.

  • How to from my exwifes apple id to my apple id. I've changed the banner at the bottom of the screen but when I try to update my apps her id comes up not mine..what to do

How do change from my wife's apple id on my phone to my apple id...I've changed the banner and account info, but when I try to update my apps her apple id still comes up..what to do?

The apps you have were probably purchased/downloaded from the App Store with your ex-wife's iTunes account. Any updates to these apps will want to be downloaded using this account. You will need to redownload/repurchase these apps. In iTunes on your computer delete the app. Go to the App Store and redownload/repurchase them. Now sync your iPhone with iTunes.
Note that if you are using a new computer (no longer your ex-wife's) you may lose what is on your iPhone.
In iTunes on a computer you can check which account was used for dowloading/purchasing an app. Select the app. From the File menu choose Get Info. The account will be listed in the Summary tab.

    Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple Id to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID.

  • Anyone have problems with apple ID's? I have the correct ID in my settings but when I try to update my apps my ID shows my first name and last name but not my ID? I'm not sure what else to do because I've made sure I have the correct ID in my settings!

I think its meant to show your name, not your ID.

My apple ID is not recognised when I try to sign into the cloud, any help?

You can't sign into iCloud using your Apple ID on a PC, you have to sign in with an existing iCloud ID.  You have to first create your iCloud account on an iOS device or Mac.  Then you can sign in with the ID on your PC.
