My new IPHONE 4S has downloaded my daughters contacts from her IPHONE 4S. when I delete them from my phone they are getting deleted from her from. What do I do??
Stop syncing them both with the same iCloud account.

When i logged onto my itunes account, my daughters contacts uploaded to my iphone. We do not share the same itunes account so i don't know how this happened. Does anyone know how to remove her contacts from my phone with out having to manually delete them one by one?
Apparently, you have set up the same iCloud account on both devices or you are syncing both devices under the same user ID on the same computer and have ended up syncing both of them with the same address book on the computer.

Please try the following…
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing. -

Contacts can be synced with a supported address book app on your computer. You can sync your iCloud online contacts from your iPhone 4 with a supported address book app on your computer followed by syncing the iPhone 3G direct with the address book app on your computer via the iTunes sync process.

Tried reset reboot and full system wipe and set up as new all make no difference

How can I load an album onto my iPhone?
I downloaded a free album onto my Mac. It contains 2 songs (MP3). They are showing up correctly in my Mac music library and play nicely, but they're not in my iPhone music library. The album was not available thru the iTunes Store; I got it from a website. FWIW, I have an iCloud account, I use ITunes Match, I synced my iPhone, but I don't know how to get the album onto my iPhone. What am I missing?
I found the problem: iTunes Match (in the Store menu of iTunes) was not turned on. Perhaps it got turned off in an update, tho I'm not sure. Anyhow, I turned it back on, and all is well. The album in question is now available on my iPhone.

I had to "restore" and then" restore from backup" my iphone due to glitch reasons. I now do not have about a month of my imessages on my iphone but they are stored on my macbook. Is there a way I can get these messages back onto my iphone?

My mom just got a new iphone 5. We were looking through her contacts tonight an noticed that some random contacts from my phone made their way onto her phone, and also a ton of emails address and facebook contacts too. We are not sure why a random sampling of my contacts got onto her phone because we have separete accounts from each other. At a certain point in time I did used to have the same account as her. How to I get my information off her phone?
I understand I can just delete them, but I am not sure how or why certain contacts got on there and how to prevent this in the future. I have an icloud account but i only use it connected to my ITunes account for calendar and email.

My husband just got an iPad and we are wondering if he can sync the iPad to my lap top since I already have my iPhone synced to the laptop. We do not want to intermix the contacts, photos, etc from his iPad onto my iPhone or my iPhone info onto his iPad.
You should be able to sync both to the same iTunes - I sync my iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch to the same computer. With the iPad connected and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, you can use the tabs on the right-hand side to select which of your iTunes content to sync to it, so you can control which apps, photos, music etc are synced to it, and (via the Info tab) from which email account your contacts are synced from. Your computer's iTunes should remember your syncing preferences for each device.

I just bought 2 new iPhone 4 one for and my husband. I want to sync them on the same computer without it runing my sisters already syned 3s. When tried syning my old and i mean very old iPhone's contacts it said i could only merge them with my sister contacts and now i have her contacts on my phone and it sent my all her un needed apps as well. I want to be able to sync but not have her things placed in my phone or have anything erased from hers either. Can anyone help me?
By far the simplest way to do this is create separate accounts on the computer for each person. That way, you each log into your own separate account, sync your own device(s) to your own contacts/calendars/apps/music and so forth.

I have an iPhone 4 (IOS 4.3.1) and it was synced and backed up today.
I wanted to upgrade to the latest ios on iTunes (today's date is 3rd Jan 2013), it seemed to download ok (it took about 30 minutes or so), but when it tried to update onto the iPhone (I think this was what it was doing!) I got an error message that had code 3014 in it. Nowhere on Apple's website can I find a way to resolve this error code.
I then thought I would just try again from the beginning, but I then got an error message saying that if I continued I would lose all the contents on my iPhone so I cancelled it as I don't want to lose everything on my phone.
Can anyone help me as I am not very good at technical things and I really want to upgrade the ios on my iPhone without losing all the data I have on there already. An idiots guide would be great.

Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network. -
I have 4 devices on my iTunes account which all have different names or ID's. An iPad 2 which I just got at Xmas, my iPhone 4S, my wifes iPhone 4 and my daughters iPod. I always hook up to iTunes via a cable/dock when syncing them all separetly. Since buying the iPad 2 every app that I have downloaded on it seems to be going over onto my iPhone 4S when I next sync it after I have synced the iPad 2 to iTunes??? I do not want anything that is on the iPad 2 automatically going onto my phone the next time I sync. How do I stop this happening?

Thanks in advance!On the iPhone, go into Settings -> Store and turn off "Automatic Downloads" for Apps (and Music and Books, if you wish). You can also do that on the iPad to prevent it from going in the opposite direction.
That will stop any automatic downloading... to prevent them from coming over when using iTunes, select the phone (under Devices), Apps, and then uncheck "Automatically sync new apps." Again, do the same for the iPad if you wish. -
My Question...Hello!! I recently got an upgrade to an iPhone 5 &. I gave my old iPhone 4S to my daughter but we are both having issues with contacts...our phones seem to be syncd. If I delete a contact on my phone it disappears off hers & visa versa!!! Also what's app contacts & who knows what else!! Help please????
Don't worry about it mate, with deleting the iCloud off your daughter's phone it will only remove the infomation on her device that was synced onto the device
Let's say you have contacts 1 2 3 4 5
And she has contacts 6 7 8 9 and 4 was synced over to her device
If she deletes the iCloud she will keep her contacts on her device, so 6789 will stay, however she will have an option to keep synced infomation such as 4 on her device or delete it
On your device you will still keep any infomation that was synced over so you would have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9, and when you delete this infomation once your daughter has disassoicated her APple ID from her phone it will only affect YOUR apple ID.

can't access my backup to store on new phone. i see that it was backed up yesterday at 1:39 got the new iPhone 6 my contacts came over but none of my pictures
What photos are you referring to? Are these photos that are in the Camera Roll and Photo Stream albums on the device you backed up, or are they in different albums? Are you signed onto the new phone with the same iCloud ID? Are the Photo Stream photos ones that have been taken in the past 30 days?
When you set up the new phone did you set it up using that backup?
