HT4528 My IPhone 4 battery will not stay charged for one day.

Help!! My IPhone 4 is 1.5 yrs. old. The battery will not stay charged for a whole day. I am not using internet more than 1 hour, not listening to songs or anything else. I have restored the phone and still the battery life is horrible.
Any suggestions.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is not charging past 48%. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

Thanks so much for your inquiry! There hasn't been a software update for the Droid X since 2/16/12.
I would like for you to put the device in Safe Mode http://bit.ly/OAXCYh and then check your email to see if it still turns off.
Safe Mode temporarily disables all applications that have been installed via the Android Market. Performing this troubleshooting step is necessary to determine whether a 3rd party application is the cause of an Operating System / Application issue.
I want you to try that to see if there is something else affecting why the phone battery goes low only when you check email.

Battery will not stay charged

My daughter's ipod, an Xmas present, has a battery problem. It will not stay charged. We took the ipod to a store. They reloaded software, said it should be fine. I went home and charged it for SIX HOURS, and it held a charge for oh, about half an hour.
So now we sent it off to Apple. And without contacting me first or anything they say it is FINE (have they charged it and then waited to see if it HELD the charge, boy i doubt that) and are sending it back.
That is why my alias is "inhell." Because I am. Any body have any ideas what is wrong with it?
Any way to convince Apple that they have to try to USE it before they tell me it is FINE?

Off-brand cables and chargers are often a source of problems with iOS devices...always use genuine Apple cables and chargers as they meet the specs for the device.
The best solution at this point would be to take the iPone, cable and charger to an Apple store genius bar and have all tested to see if there are faults in the components.

Greetings, I had a new iphone 4S - bought March 2013, died suddenly September 2013. Iphone replaced by a new one, which seemed to work fine. Suddenly, noticed three days ago that the battery does not hold, even for one day, even with very little use. Charged battery yesterday morning, as it was dead, used phone a few times during the day, still had half batery full at bed time; this morning there was no battery at all - had discharged completely overnight doing nothing. Has anyone had this problem?
It means that I will have to travel a long way to the nearest store to have it looked at. Had already done this last September to replace a dead phone. One would have expected better quality and reliability from a Company like Apple.

Sounds like the battery needs replacing. Bring the phone to Apple for battery diagnostics.

My sons Ipod 4g will not stay charged. He charges it to show full battery & will only work for 20 mins or so. I have tried resetting the whole Ipod, we have tried a wall charger instead of computer charger, he has removed items off thinking they were to much for the Ipod. Nothing works.....

If you successfully (went through all steps without errors) restored the iPod to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have to keep joining the network or restarting devices or forgetting network and rejoining it. As a side note my 1st gen iPhone which I upgraded to iPhone 5 yesterday always stayed connected!

The steps to try would be to:
1. Restore the iPhone to Factory.
2. If that does not solve the problem replace the iPhone.
If Verizon is offering to replace the iPhone for free under warranty I would go with that option.

Call AppleCare and ask them if they still have an available copy or check on Amazon, eBay, etc. If your computer will support it you will be better off buying a retail copy of Snow Leopard instead.

Your phone is in recovery mode. All your data are already gone.

Battery will not fully charge.

My battery will not fully charge anymore. Also, it seems that my phone has a hard time charging because sometimes the bolt will not show even when it is plugged in so it seems like something is loose. I am going to go to Verizon today to have them look into it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you been able to try a different cable, it a different cable does the same thing then it is probably and issue with the port on the device.
Let us know how you make out at the store.
