HT4528 My iPhone 4s isnt working correctly

My iphone 4s is not turning on. When I conect it to my Macbook it conects but when I click restore it gives me the code 1600. Now my iPhone will come on but either to an apple screen or just a white screen that has nothing else on it. I need help, what should I do? my carrier is Verizon. I have already brought it in once but that didnt help. I just ordered an iPhone 4, but I would like to keep my 4s. Help?

Your iPhone 4S has full Warranty Coverage with Apple. These are Hardware Errors, maybe due to faulty battery. Make Genius Reservation and take or send iPhone to Apple for resolution under Warranty.

If you have AppleCare+ you can use one of your accidental damage claims to get it replaced. Otherwise, pay the out of warranty replacement fee and get one that is not broken.

What exactly happened?
would you notice a mechanical issue with the button?
if its a hardware issue and your under the warranty, you could have the device be repaired or replace as long as there is no accidental damage and liquid damage.
you can always do a restore to isolate it from being a software issue

Create iPod or iPhone Version not working correctly

When I select an MP4 movie and then choose Advanced -> Create iPod or iPhone Version, the movie is converted and a new version is created, but they don't work correctly. In two cases, the resulting file has audio, but the video is missing (just white). With another file, the video is there but the audio is missing. How can I troubleshoot this and get the videos converted properly so I can play them on my iPod?

Having the same issue here. With mencoder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEncoder) I create an H264 file, after that I create an MP4 file with mp4creator (http://mp4creator.sourceforge.net/). Then I can import the .mp4 file in iTunes just fine, it plays well. But when I select the file, go to menu Advanced, choose 'Create iPod or iPhone Version', the file is converted, audio is fine but video stays white .

also when I got this phone I did it from a back up of my old iPhone 4 but not all the songs have fully downloaded (they are there, but cannot play) when I look on iTunes it says I have no songs that arn't on my iPhone that I've bought?
Should I take my phone back to my carrier which is 3? Or make an appointment at the Genius Bar?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
Backups do not contain media, all the media should be in iTunes on your computer. Simply select the content desired to sync to the device and sync.

Iphone shuffle Not Working Correctly

Since doing a full restore of my iphone which reloaded all of my songs, my shuffle doesn't work correctly any more. I'm on 5.1.1. I start a shuffle and 2 or max 3 songs play and then it quits. The screen shows the next song but no sound, either with earphones or speaker. The button at the bottom is showing the stop music bar, implying that the music is playing, but the top bar that shows time left on the song is not moving. If I hit the stop bar then rehit the start arrow, again nothing happens. I can go back to the playlist and restart a shuffle and a new song plays, then 1 or 2 more, then nothing. Any ideas?

Basically sync the iphone with iTunes on your computer.
Uncheck sync music to clear the iphone from all music. Then sync this way to clear the iphone. It may ask if you want to delete the music on the iphone. Say yes to that.
Once done with the above step. Check the box to sync music.
Then re-sync your iphone to reload all your music back on the iphone.
This fixed the problem for me. I got this solution from the above link.

You could try backing up your phone by syning with iTunes and restoring it as a new iPhone to see if it's a software problem first (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414). Be sure to choose to Backup at step 6. At the end of the process your phone will restart and you will have the option to restore from and iTunes or iCloud backup, or to set it up as a new iPhone (choose the latter).
Before restoring, be sure to import all your photos to your computer and back up your contacts (by syncing them with iCloud or Google, or to a supported program such as Outlook or mac Address Book, or using an app like My Contacts Backup) as contacts are not fully backed up in the iPhone backup. If it won't vibrate once restored as a new iPhone then it's a hardware problem.

My trackpad isnt working correctly

When i woke up today my trackpad was just working incorrectly, when i use the left click, it works as it was the ¨enter button ¨ for example in safari when i look for a webpage, for example facebook, when i click the direction bar to start writing, the search starts immediately and i havent even type the webpage yet, other example is here, while im typing this and i make a left click, it takes it as the enter button and this line that indicates where im writing goes down, like this.

Try resetting your SMC and pram. Follow the instructions for resetting the SMC for the type of MacBook you have.

Laptops with a battery you can remove
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.

If you bought the phone used you have encountered activation lock installed by the prior owner. You will not be able to get past the activation lock without the proper credentials. Contact the prior owner. If the prior owner does not know the details the device is probably stolen and you have lost your money.
If you bought the phone new from Apple take it back to the store with your receipt so that Apple can help you.

Aperture to iPhone sync not working correctly

When sync'ing photo's from Aperture to my iPhone 6+ , I have filters that work perfectly in Aperture, but I still end up with photo's I shouldn't have (should have been filtered out) sent to my iPhone.
is this a known bug?

My home button on iphone 5c not working correctly

Hi,
Any ideas please - I have an iphone 5c that is about 17 mths old and has been working fine until yesterday when the home button became unresponsive - not all the time but intermittently.
I have turned the phone off for a while and then turned it back on but it made no difference.
This is the first problem I have had with this phone - it's been amazing til yesterday!

First, reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not work, and to make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test Home Button.
If the phone works as before the update, restore from the latest backup. If the problem comes back, the backup data contained corrupt data, causing your issues.
If it still does not work, this is a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:

IPhone earphones not working correctly

I have a problem with the headphones that came with my iPhone 3GS last year. The left earphone is playing audio at a softer volume than the right one. What would be the reason for a problem like that? The mini remote on the cable is also playing up from time to time. I'm still within my warranty period so would Apple replace my headset?

I previously had this issue. The only solution (which is a stupid one to recommend) is to lightly hit the right ear phone on a table. This worked for me. I wish I had a better solution to give you but this is what I have done in the past. Since your still in warranty try replacing them that works too.

Hi all, i just returned my broken iphone for a replacement. Everything worked fine until i tested cover-flow. At first everything was fuzzy. I reset my phone and then instead of everything being fuzzy, only the color black was. I really don't want to take it back again for a third iphone. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well removing the SIM and reinserting it has certainly proved useful for other phones, so I don't see why it shouldn't help as a last resort for an iPhone, especially when the nearest store is a hundred miles away. The Apple Tech guys often suggest it, as well, though admittedly I have never known it to help.
