My IPhone will not turn on, I charged it last night and it had a complete charge and during a phone call it just died and will not come back on.
Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to respond.

I am having the same problem. Itunes reports that it's uploaded all the music etc.
When I turn the match function on, it says "you are not currently subscribed to itunes match".
I have restarted the phone and coputer, logged in & out several times to no avail.

thank youThe iPhone 4 actually has 2 microphones, one on top and one on bottom. The apps you're trying to make calls with might be using a different mic than the one that normal calls go through. Check that the microphone mesh covers, and top microphone hole are not clogged with lint or other debris.
If the microphone mesh or top microphone appear clogged, please use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to clean them. Use the brush to carefully and gently brush the speaker and microphone mesh. -
I was using my ipad 2 and got up to use the bathroom and 2 minutes later tried to use it and it was shut off and wont turn back on. What is wrong?
We really can't tell you what happened, but you can get your iPad up again, by rebooting:
Hold the power and home button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds (hold past the swipe to shut down) and when the Apple logo appears, let go of both buttons and your iPad will come back to life. -
Any ideas here on how to reset without hooking a phone up to itunes when it has been disabled and it is now frozen in what was supposed to be a recovery mode. We have called the carrier with no help and I have searched the internet. Any help at this point would be great. I can't help the person because I am 1 hour away from them and do not have the phone in my hands.
they need to connect it to the computer/itunes they normally do and restore it as new.

I've had the same thing happen to me when an app starts to lag, shutting it off will burn it on the screen, not allowing you to enter your passcode for the Iphone. It is frustrating but do as @kb1951 said. It worked for me.

I am travelling and I would still like to get Wifi on my phone but i have no set up plan for anything else so I do not want the charges. Is there a way to turn everything off except for my connection to different Wifis?
turn airplane mode on and then turn wifi back on with airplane mode on

I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 to check it out. Being in beta, I was already aware of all the bugs that were going to be happening. After much frustration, I decided to downgrade bake to iOS 7.1.1. While I was doing this, my iPhone completely shut off, it will not turn back on even when I plug it into a wall charger or the computer, and iTunes is not recognizing it either. New iphone 4s shut off and will not turn on or charge
I just upgraded to an iphone 4s yesterday. I installed 6 OS last night. Woke up this morning and took 5 pictures of my kids and sent a text. I went back a few hours later to check for return text and the phone is not responding. I have tried plugging it into my laptop (apple), I have tried plugging it into the wall plug, I have tried plugging it into my car charger. It's not turning on. This is my first smart phone and I have many apple products (2 ipads, macbook, ipod touch 4th gen, and now the iphone) and have not ran into this problem yet. It has not been touched except by me. It has either sat on my desk (sturdy wood) or my counter.
I now have no phone. And I cannot call Verizon because I do not have a house phone. lol Any suggestions besides take it back to Verizon tomorrow?Oh wow dmcalgaro! No phone is no good! Since posting did you get your issue resolved? Just like a computer, your phone needs to be rebooted every once in a while. As a great Apple consumer, I am sure that you know this. Also, it does take about 10-15 minutes to charge the device on a wall charger before the battery indicator (showing red and low battery) even comes on. Please try this and when the device does come back on, I would getting into the practice of closing out your apps every so often. Just double tap the home button and press and hold each app to close. When they start wiggling, simply click on the minus sign to close. This will help prevent this from happening in the future.
