i was charging my phone, after 30 minutes i unpluged the plug from the mains and typed in my password. from there on the phone went completely blank and all i was seeing was a red light flashing. Without the use of the charging port, tests will be more difficult, and results less definitive. Nevertheless...this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note please that "known good" and "new" are not necessarily the same thing...while rare, a new battery certainly can be defective. The best (and, btw, least costly) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
If the result is that your BB is the issue, then you will need to seek out a local (to you) shop with a qualified BB hardware technician to give you a proper evaluation and estimate. If you remain in warranty, you could instead seek support under those terms (assuming your warranty is not void).

My phone wont turn on HELP

i have the ios7 beta 2 and it worked great for a couple weeks. now my phone wont turn on. the apple sign shows up then it goes to the loading circle and freezes. i dont care if i have to reset it i just want to be able to use my phone again.

Help! my ipod wont do anything. It wont charge, turn on, the apple icon wont appear, it won't go into reset mode or dfu mode. Itunes wont recognize it, no buttons work. It did this suddenly with no warning. What do i do? :(

If you've tried the basic troubleshooting steps (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new), and you've tried charging from a wall socket and these all fail, then you have a hardware problem.
If your unit is still in warranty, you will be eligible for a replacement with a refurbished unit free of charge. If you are out of your warranty period, you will be eligible for an out of warranty exchange which will cost the equivalent of 200 US dollars.

Had exact same problem. Rang Apple support and various apple repairers. All of them said in effect, too bad, you'll have to lose everything since your last backup. It's a work phone with very important stuff on it and the latest backup was on a computer that had a virus. Convergence of crap :/
Happened to talk to a friend who said to try replacing the battery. Did that. Problem fixed. All data saved.
To all Apple support people: rather than say 'once it's in recovery mode you lose all data' try saying 'replace your battery and see if that works first'!!!!

Plug it into a wall outlet for at least 30 minutes, then try resetting it: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.

Try doing a restore in recovery mode or what is known as DFU.

Once in DFU mode, plug into iTunes and click Restore.
I know you said you tried all reset procedures, but I want to be sure.
Note: This will delete all your data on the Phone, hopefully you have a backup.
