I keep getting the.gray screen when I try to turn on wifi
All Wifi networks. It recognises the name of the networks, then thinks and thinks and doesn't lauch the wifi mode.

Connecting in recovery mode is your only chance to use the phone again, besides getting it serviced by Apple.

My wife and I went to the Verizon store to purchase her an iPhone 6+. We were told of this great promotion to receive $200 back and the iPhone 6 was $199. Great deal, we thought! I bought an iPhone 6 and my wife an iPhone 6+. We were told that we would get the rebate when Verizon received our phones. I got my phone and went online to print the return label. My wife iPhone 6+ hasn't shipped yet. I found out that the promotion ended yesterday and that I should have printed the label before that time. We lost out on the rebate. What a scam! I went to the store and was told that it's the customer’s responsibility to follow up and that all of their sales reps were trained to ensure the process was understood. We left the store believing that we would have 14 days to return our phones. This would never have happened if we received written instructions. It was the stores responsibility to ENSURE that the customer received the correct procedure information. Obviously a scam on Verizon's part! Is this the stores issue or Verizon's? How can we get our rebate?
That is not what my trade in disclaimer said at all... You had to PURCHASE an iphone 6 by 10/15. But you have seven days to send the device back after receiving it...
How could I send my iphone in before I received the new one? I would have no cell phone for a month because it was on back order.
This is the email I received after submitting my order:
"The appraised value includes a promotional offer that requires a purchase of an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus on Verizon Wireless by 10/15/2014. Your device must be mailed to Verizon Wireless within 7 days after receiving the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus but no later than 12/01/2014. Both of our iPhone 4s no longer connects to home wifi, iPad and iMac still do.
Our home wifi appears to be working fine. Our iPad and our computer are connected and have no trouble. However, both my husband's and my iPhone 4s that have always been connected no longer connect. It can see the signal, allows me to click on it an enter the network key, but then says unable to connect. We reset our wireless hub but that did not help. I restarted my phone and reentered the network key twice. I'm fairly sure that it stopped working right after the most recent update. Is anyone else having this problem? I don't want to drain all my data down while I'm @ home.
Update, the iPad worked all morning and the second that my settings button showed that there was a new software update, it disconnected from the wifi and is now behaving exactly like the iphones. This has got to be an issue with the new software.

for the past 2 months my phone no longer connects to ANY wifi. i have resetted, backed up, updated my phone, forgot the network, etc., and still nothing. If I take my phone into the apple store will they replace it?
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

IPhone 5 no longer connecting to home wifi after adding new iPhone 5s
I just bought my husband a new iPhone 5s and successfully connected it to our home wifi; however, now my iPhone 5 won't connect. All other home devices will connect without an issue. I've tried Reseting the Network Setting on my iPhone and that does not work. It first gives me a message that states it is "unable" to connect to the network, then when I try again, it says the password is incorrect (and it is not). I'ver tried turning my router off and on again as well. Is there a way to just set an IP address maybe?
Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

I have had my ipad for about one year. Recently it started dropping the wifi. I would have to go to settings and choose my network. Then it would not connect at all. I went online looking for solutions. I tried everything. Nothing helped. I also have an iphone4S that I just got about 2 months ago. It has now also lost connection to my wifi. I need help. Please help me - I've just upgraded my Iphone 4s to ISO8 and now I can't connect to wifi - was at my friends yesterday - always use his wifi and even though the password was correct, it wouldn't accept it. Came home and had the same problem. I can't use my data plan as it wouldn't be enough so now it's chewing through it.........The only thing I did different was upgrade......... I'm not computer savy so please leave me step by step instruction on how to fix if you can. I've tried rebooting etc and turning everything off - no luck.......
Have you tried resetting the network settings? Sometimes starting from scratch solves the issue and it is the simplest way I can think of that may solve your problem.
1. Go to Settings > General > Reset
2. Then select Reset Network Settings
3. Enter your password when it requests it
After the phone finishes the reset try adding your Wi-Fi again and see if that works. If not, I would back-up your phone to your computer, then reset the whole phone by following the same instructions above, but choosing Reset All Content and Settings at step two. Make sure you backup your phone first though! Otherwise you will lose all the stuff on your phone when you make this selection.

I was able to connect to wifi at both school and home on my ipad 5. However, now I am not able to connect to the wifi at home as the ipad states I am putting in the wrong password.
However, I know the password is right since I used it for my computer and other ipad which are connected to the internet.
Can anyone please help? I have already tried resetting the settings several times and the wifi settings will not let me forget this network.If you reset all settings, that should "forget the network" for you. But when you say that you already tried resetting the settings, were you able to reset them? In other words, were all of the settings reset when you tried it?

My iPhone has been "frozen" for two hours now on the Apple logo, after me seeing a notification pop up and tell me I have to restore my device. And my device has been stuck since I started and does not seem to be making any progress besides vibratingf every three or so minutes. Why is this?

Suddenly my ipad is unable to connect to our wifi. It buffers all the time?
All other devices are working normally. Is this a fault wityh my ipad or have I inadvertantly altered some setting?Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Phone will no longer connect to home wifi.
My phone just sits there loading on the the Belkin router option that is my home wifi. I've tried resetting my phone and syncing to itunes and nothing seems to work. I've also tried forgetting the network, then reentering the wifi code; this also doesn't work. I have a limited data plan so I need this wifi to keep from going over that 2 GB limit as the overdraft fees will wreck me.

IPhone 5 will no longer connect to home wifi
My iPhone 5 has been connecting to my home wifi without any troubles, however all of a sudden, for the last couple of days it will no longer connect. When I go to Settings, it shows my the name of my home network next to Wifi as though it's connected, however if I go into the Wifi settings, instead of a tick next to my home network, it has the little pinwheel that shows it's trying to connect to it. The wifi triangle never appears at the top of the screen and the wifi never fully connects.
My wifi is working normally when I connect to other connections outside of my home.
I have reset Network Connections, re-entered my home wifi password, but I still have the same result.
The only thing I can think of is that there are now more phones in the house using our wifi connection so maybe I have somehow been kicked off?

Thanks for your reply. I had already tried the steps in that article and I don't know how, but a few hours after I reset my network connections & re-entered the wifi password, the wifi began working again.
Now some of the other members in the household can no longer connect so it appears I have bumped them off!
Oh well at least mine is working again!
