The sound on my phone has stopped working. Went to play music and didn't work. Adjusted all side buttons, still doesn't work. Won't let me turn up volume. Silent button is off.

Did you check the long verticle silver button on the left side of the phone? It is above the + & - Keys. If it is pushed down, you will have no volume. THis is a key to quickly shut off the volume if you forgot to trun it down during a meeting, funeral, etc. If that is okay, go into settings and see if volume is turned on. "vibrate" is no longer an option by itsself.

No way to fix it. Seems like a bad digitizer.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

The music I was trying to listen to didn't want to make a sound when I turned it in , I put a pair of headphones in and and it worked as soon as I took it off it completely stopped the music was playing still I could see it in the top column that the play button was on ... Then I made a call an the same thing happened I turned it on speaker and then I could hear them... The sound is completely off even tho i looked at the seettings and put the volume on high noting is sounding on its own not even when i tap the buttons... I took it off the silent before I tried this stuff I don't understand please help !!!

make sure that your head phones are not attached to the phone then use the volume buttons on the side, if when using them you see a pic of headphones on the screen, then you have some lint in the headphone jack, use some compressed air and blow it out.
If you dont see that then try to reset the phone, hold down the home and power buttons for 20 seconds or untill you see the silver apple.
If you are still having a problem restore the phone and set up as new to see if that clears it up.

Plug it into a wall outlet, & while plugged in, reset it: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

You may have a look at the list below. The easy ones are at the top.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Hmm... you're right. I don't have access to that Google Doc, but our support.mozilla.com weekly metrics are on Google Docs, and I see the same issue there.

It may be specific to Google spreadsheets (and whether or not you have permission to edit the doc). I'm currently trying to find out if that's a Firefox bug, or a Google bug. If you use the '''Ctrl-F''' keyboard shortcut, Google's Find feature takes over, so they obviously want people using their Find utility.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

The sound on my iphone no longer works, nor do the buttons at the side that turn sound on and off/volume control. But weirdly, you can play music without headphones. Tried restore and jack in and out. No luck... any ideas?

The sound on/off button onthe side of my iPhone no longer works, nor do the volume buttons. All sound has disappeared from the phone apart from the Music which still plays. Have tried th Restore and restart phone plus have plugged and unplugged phone jack. No luck - any idea anyone?

One thing that helped was getting a toothbrush and scrubbing the dock connector on the phone. I scrubbed the connector and used compressed air for about 1/2 hour till the connector looked much cleaner. An Apple employee told me that the pins on the phone had a little corrosion and sand. The problem hasn't gone away completely, but has been significantly reduced. I'm going to hold out until my contract expires after which time I'll switch to an iPhone5 (or newer) or Android phone.
