HT4528 Why won't my iMessages send anymore?
I recently got the iPhone 5c and my iMessages were working but now it won't work anymore. I have to send all of my messages as texts. How can I fix this?
Have you checked to see if the iMessage is activated on the iPhone. Maybe the ipad subscription could be interferring with the connection on your phone. had this issue happen when applying imessage on my Mac Book
1. settings
2. imessage and disable it on both devices
3. try the phone first let it activate then try the ipad and see if they work simultaneously

Why won't my imessage send as a text message
some of my friends imessage doesn't work unless they are using wifi. everyone always says hold the message like you are going to copy it then click send as text message but when I hold the message it only says copy and more. how do I get it to send as a text message without shutting my imessage off and without holding the message and clicking send as text message?
I'm not an expert on iMessage but I found the following which could explain why you aren't getting the send as text option. It is in http://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/send-a-single-imessage-as-a-text-message
Also, everything I found discussed doing it after the message had been "sent."
The primary requirement for this to work is that you have the contact's phone number listed in their info. If you don't, your iPhone won't offer this option. -
Why won't my iMessage work with only one contact in my phone all my other iMessages send and they just got an iphone but all their iMessages are sending also. I've tried restarting my phone, deleting messages, contact, restarting network

Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact in the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

Why won't emails I send go into my Sent folder?
I would appreciate some help figuring out the following issue:
I am registered in iCloud. On an older Mac, I am accessing iCloud via Safari. After logging into iCloud, I see the icons for my Mail, Contacts, Calendar, FMiP and iWork. Mail, Contacts and Calendar seem to be syncing okay between my older Mac (accessing iCloud via browser) and my iPhone - except the following:
When I send an email (or reply to an inbox email) from my older Mac (iCloud via browser) the email IS sent. However, the email I sent does NOT automatically appear in my Sent folder - either in iCloud via browser or on my iPhone Mail application. This is the problem - namely, sent emails sent using iCloud via browser do not show in the Sent folder.
As additional information, when I send a new email or reply to an old email USING MY IPHONE MAIL APPLICATION, the message DOES appear in the Sent folder on both my older Mac (accessing iCloud via Browser) and my iPhone. This works fine, but the reverse procedure does not.
Why won't messages sent from my iCloud via Browser appear in the Sent folder? Is there a bug in the Apple software?
Thank you,
DaleDo you have "Save sent messages in:" checked in Preference > General on icloud.com, and are you looking in the mailbox set in that option?

Why aren't my iMessages "shared" anymore?
iMessages sent on my iPhone 3GS running iOS 5.0.1 would also show up on my iPad running iOS 5.0.1 which made it very convenient. I recently upgrade to the iPhone 4S. Altho all settings are the same as they were on my iPhone 3GS, my iMessages are no longer "shared" and I would like to know WHY?
Try turning iMessage off on all devices and turning them back on one device at a time. Also, make sure you have the same email address as the "Receive at" setting.

Why won't Verizon iPhone send iMessage when on call and Wifi?
I am new to Verizon and am aware of the simultaneous voice and data limitation, however I was under the impression that wifi would work normally while on a phone call, and it does.
However I am finding that when on a phone call, and successfully on wifi, iMessages do not get sent. They fail.
Anyone else get this? Can you please test it?
I have a iphoen 5 on 6.0.1 already BTW but have no idea if it happened before with 6.0.
BrianHe is correct. All data is in one giant pool once you are on Wifi. The prioritization is first come first serve, unless the phone is implementing some sort of QoS at the packet level, which is very unlikely. This is the same way a full computer works, everyone sends their data broken up into small packets (Each packet is ~1k in size at maximum.) All of those packets just go into a queue in the order they were sent, and the modem handles sending them out.
The question is if iMessage is really going over the standard data routing, or if they are still using some sort of SMS wrapper. If its just data, it shoud send/recieve without issue regardless of what other data applications are running. -

Why won't my iMessage or any other browsing or date work?
Usually when my iMessage won't work or I can't use any browsing data, such as checking emails or using safari, restarting my phone will allow me to use iMessage and browse when it turns back on. However, today I restarted it numerous times and it still won't work. I can only use my phone to text or use the Internet when I'm connected to a wifi hotspot. I'm not sure why this is happening, any solutions?

Why won't my phone send text messages but I can receive them?
I have the iphone 5 and I updated my phone to the ios7. Within the past few days I have not been able to send text messages as imessages but I can receive them. When I try to send a message it will freeze at 95% and it wont go through. I even have 5 bars and I am connected to wifi when I send them. I reset my network settings but there was no change. Is there a way to fix this? A few of my friends have also expereinced this problem.
From my original reply, "Why did you change your SIM card?" Did you change carriers, was there a problem with the original SIM, did you change plans?
The iPhone has no settings for SMS. SMS is a carrier feature, call them back and have them check the provisioning on your account. If this SIM change caused the problem, it has nothing to do with the phone. -
I need help ! Why is it not letting me use iMessage with one person specifically big it sends to others with my email address not my phone number? Anyone ?
Hi,
This has to do with what addresses you have linked with you Apple account and which you have set as a default to send/receive from. If you go to Settings--> Messages --> and note that your iMessages tab at the top is switched to "on" then scroll down to where is says "Send & Receive" and it will list something like your iphone number and any email addresses you have registered with Apple (I happen to have four addresses, 2 gmail, 1 icloud, and 1 me.com). Click on Send & Receive and whichever ones are selected are those that you will receive messages at or send from. If you scroll further down the page it says "Start new conversations from:" and you can select the one you would like to be the default whenever you're sneding from apps and the like on your iPhone.
Depending on which address a person has as your contact (and assuming that address is also listed under your addresses in the iMessage section), is why you might receive texts as just an iMessage and others an email address.
Also, if you go to Settings-->Mail, Contacts, Calendar: it'll show all of the email accounts you have associated with your iPhone and scroll down further you can see and change which is your default email account.
I absolutely loved my iPhone 4, it has been a solid workhorse and a true pleasure! I hope you enjoy yours as much.
Cheers~
Andrea
