HT4539 I  am being restricted from downloading items already purchased.

For a long time now, items which I have purchased will not down load automatically.
Now I can not select SD versions.
I have not been able to track prior purchases to redown load.
It seems as though my ablility to download purchased items is being systematically restricted.
I have tried using the support FAQ items and on line chat with no success.
What is going on.
Will Itunes work as advertise or what?

Either call 1-800-My-Apple and see if an advisosr can try and chat iTunes on your behalf OR email them expresslane.apple.com

Hope you get help regarding this!

Hi - how do  I download items already purchased?  I have tried store and search for available downloads but it tells me they are already downloaded - they are not however - fyi I lost my phone so I am using a new phone with the same apple id and assumed I could just re-access my previously purcahsed items - how do I find them to download?
    Many thanks

many thanks for a really fast response - Yes I have seen on other postings since you only get one hit and you are right I should have backed up and didn't as I am a bit of a novice and naive (but learning fast now).  Have used your suggestion and accessed and downloaded some historical apps.
many thanks - I will ensure I back up regularly going forward.
    Thanks again

  • HT201272 some games already purchased, wont play like skies of glorys and red tails, and being billed again for items already purchased

why are some games like skies of glory and red tails will download then start with the titles but wont play, they played before the last update IO 6. I have deleted them and reloaded them, still wont play.
and when restoring previous purchased items I am being billed again!!! seriously peed off!
    any clues

I know this stuff is 3 months old but I just got mine and hadn't yet used the pin function so now I know.
I hope you are right Nancy that it will have updates, but I really doubt it. This is the norm for Microsoft when stuff they put out bombs. Dish Network had a DVR receiver many years ago that had Microsoft software installed and it was buggy to say the least. They updated it a few times but then abandon it. For a few years Microsoft wouldn't release the code to Dish Network to allow DN to fix the bugs. It was a real "Hate Microsoft" time for those users. DN had to put out their own coded DVR receivers and let the Microsoft ones die.
I think VZ made a deal with MS and removed the stuff MS wasn't supporting. Then VZ put them out without needing a data package to unload them.

  • Does it cost money to download items previously purchased?

Does it cost money to download items previously purchased? Is it going to charge me again?

If you are reinstalling Apps or music onto the same computer, no.   You must use the same details as was used for the original download.   See this link.   Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • HT3702 Why can't I download my already purchased music and other files from iCloud, even though I owe money to iTunes for my most recent purchases.  Doesn't seem right that they keep me from accessing those files which I've already paid for!

    - Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
    - Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

  • How do I download my already purchased OSX Mountain Lion again?

I've done this before, but for some reason am blocked now on the App Store Purchases tab. I've already purchased Mountain Lion, and need to create a bootable USB drive to reinstall it. I don't feel like paying $20 again, or finding an illegal copy since I've already purchased it. But what's going on? How do I download this again?
    Thanks everyone.

I don't know if that's true. If you RENT a movie you can only download it once, but if you purchase it you should be able to download it multiple times. If you purchase a movie, and delete it, you should still have it saved in the Cloud. Maybe you aren't showing purchases from The Cloud in your iTunes lists. To fix this in iTunes on your computer:
In the menu bar > iTunes > Preferences > Store (Store Preferences) > Show iTunes In The Cloud Purchases (Enable this)

  • Cant download app already purchased

I use Snow Leopard and recently have reinstalled it, formatting my mac.
Now I can't install iphoto, pages, keynote, etc. It says that I have to upgrade to mountain lion.
I already purchased those apps and dont want (now) to upgrade my OS.
How can I download the apps I BOUGHT?
    EDIT
notice that I already used the apps before, i bought them when they still worked with my OS (before Lion release)

Make sure you are installing the Creative Cloud and not the standalone version.
From what you describe you do not appear to be in dire need of resolving this immediately to get work done, though it is certainly your right to pursue getting it resolved as fast as possible.  If you have the trial version installed you can use that - it is fully functional.  Also, if you have it installed on another machine you can use it on there as well.

  • How to download music already purchased to new computer?

I just purchased new computer, old one crashed. How can I download music that I already purchased from i-tunes to my new computer?

    Welcome to AD!
Sadly, you don't - iTunes Store give you one download, and you're supposed to back it up in case your PC crashes.

Do you have all your music on an iPod? You could get it back from that.

  • Unabe to download an already purchased copy of OSX Lion from App Store.

    Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro mid 2010 with osx 10.7.5. I purchased, downloaded and installed Lion on 20 July 2011.
Now I want to download it again to make a usb installer and to do a clean install again to my mac but I'm not able to download it by the App Store.
If I go on the purchased section of my App Store it gives me the option to download but when I push the download button the result is that nothing happnes.
Thank you if someone could give me some help.
    Riccardo

It isn't just the hard drive - there is firmware built in that will prevent you from booting wih Snow Leopard. If you do a search here, you'll find many threads trying to install an earlier OS than what the machine came with all with the same answer (unless the Mac was built right around the time of a new OS being introduced, then it is possible to be booted from both OS's). In this case, you'd be trying to go backwards by 2 versions. Also see here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2186?viewlocale=en_US
And yes, if you use internet recovery and first erase the drive (available in Disk Utility within the recovery partition) and then reinstall the OS, it'll reinstall the OS on a blank drive and you can start over. If the machine is new, then Command + R during restart should automatically boot into internet recovery (connecting you to Apple's servers by showing a spinning globe while connecting); if the machine is a bit older, then Command + Option + R will boot into internet recovery.
