When I download from App Store I don't get asked for my Apple ID password!
I am having a problem with ensuring my children are not downloading expensive apps on my iphone4 and our older iphone3. The problem is I am not asked for my Apple ID and password once I've signed. How can I ensure it comes up every time?

there is no "none" option. i want to download a free app for my phone it says i have to make my apple id compatible for itunes store by filling in my billing information but i dont want to put my account information in. i have never had billing info in nor have i purchased anything.

Just bought my 1st iphone, I signed up for itunes and downloaded 2 free apps. Why did my account get charged $1 preauthorization.
It's just an authorization hold and will drop off the account in a day or two. It is not an actual charge.

Why has this issue not yet been addressed by Apple? How is it even sensible that people must provide credit card information just to download FREE apps in the App Store? The App Store was launched months ago! This is very unusual of Apple and their policy of making things simple for customers.
