I'm trying to locate within the iTunes App a location to identify what information is unable to be loaded / sync'ed with my iPhone. I have over 2,700 items which were unable to be updated and I don't know why or where to findout what they are. iPhone has no additional information. Just indicates, look in iTunes for further infomration.

Added information: the PowerMac's System Pref's > Network does not display a WiFi link. It is connected to the base by ethernet cable and certainly has no problem reaching the internet and mounting the old PowerBook (OS 10.4.11) via WiFi address.
But it still won't mount/share the new PowerBook (OS 10.8.2).
And I still need to make this connection, and find a list of all the required settings & procedures to make it.

i bought new iPhone..Itunes used to say music,movies,tv shows,podcasts,ringtones etc. on the left side of the screen but instead itunes only has songs, albums, artists, genres, playlists etc. on the UPPER middle sectoin of the screen..how can I get to the section so I can put my free mp3 to the ringtone section?? can someone please help me? There used to be the ringtone section to the side of the screen where I can just drop my mp3 file inside that folder..

No, my eyesight isnt what it use to be but all I have is the three horizontal bars for the history .... no library button.

On iTunes 11 you can re-enable the left-hand sidebar that used to show on previous versions via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S - it should then look similar to how it used to with your library listed on that sidebar.
If you are in a country where you can re-download TV programmes then you can do so via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

It is still on your old computer.
Did you copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to new computer?

Deleting the entry from iTunes on your Mac and redownloading it from the iTunes Store should allow the song to play.

How do I copy songs from one itunes library to another itunes library on the same computer?

I want to share some songs in my iTunes library with my granddaughter's iTunes library, both of which are located on the same computer. I managed to copy one of the songs through Finder to the location where the music resides, but it doesn't appear when I access her iTunes. Can someone tell me an easy way to copy only certain songs from one iTunes library to another iTunes library on the same computer?

How can i copy songs from another library to my itunes library with homesharing? I see the other libraries, but cannot drag the songs into my library. The help window says to use the "show menu" at the bottom, but I don't have that menu with itunes 11.

You can do this in 2 ways.
1) You can enable the sidebar and you can drag and drop like you used to be able to. To turn on Sidebar in iTunes 11, go to View > Show Sidebar
2) Another way is to connect to your Home Share from the drop-down menu from the left (where it says Music) and select your Home Share. Once you are connected to your Home Share, select Music and you should see a button that says "All Items" and on the right, you should see the Import button. To copy, select the songs you want to import and then click on Import.

Access iTunes library from Wifi iTunes

Is there a way one can accesses their iTunes library from the WiFi iTunes app on the iTouch or iPhone?
it would be nice in the case where you have tv shows for a season and can only fit part of the season on your iPod... after watching a episode and deleting it on the iPod would like to be able to log into my iTunes library and sync the remaining episodes.
if not through the WiFi iTunes apps is there another way to get this functionality?

THe wifi itunes store has no support for linking to your itunes on your computer. also the wifi itunes store sells no video content to be downloaded. As well there is currently no way to link your touch to your computer over wifi and download material. THere are web apps that say they offer remote sensing to your desktop like this

Where is the Genius Sidebar on itunes 11 ???? Don't tell me that they have remove this wonderful feature ?....

I looked under file but I couldn't find the "Genius & Playlist" option. I also looked under the other options on the top left side but I couldn't find it there either. And all "Genius suggestions" does for me is show similar songs already purchased in my library. It doesn't show me anything new that I haven't purchased.

Yes, I am signed in to iTunes match on the macbook pro, iPhone , & iPad (all updated & correct music libraries) where I bought all the tunes but still no updated tunes on the iPhoto music library after 3 days of being on iTunes match.

How did you (Sir WLC, first reply) get that list to appear?
I have used iTunes to download a bunch of podcasts. They show up in the "iTunes Media Library" folder. I cannot figure out how to persuade iTunes to move the things to the shuffle.
I have a gen3 shuffle and iTunes 11.0.1.12 running on WinXP. If i run help/diagnostics, (connectivity and sync only), all "connectivity" tests pass but the device sync test says "no iPod touch, iphone or ipad found" and "one or more tests failed". So is the "gen3 ipod shuffle" not SUPPOSED to pass (it is not a ~touch, phone, or pad)?
The shuffle (and one book file i dragged directly onto it) is visible to the Windows "file explorer", and that one book will play on the shuffle. Nonetheless, when it is plugged in to the USB port, the orange light continues to blink; it does not turn green, as the PDF for the thing suggests it will do when fully charged. Is blinking orange the expected behavior for a fully charged device?

Sharing an app does not give a copy of the app to anybody else, you will only be sharing an image of the app.
It's possible that the developers of those apps have temporarily (e.g. if there is a problem with them or they are putting an updated version in the store) or permanently removed them from the store. Any links that the developer's have on their website should take you to the store, that is the only place that you can download apps for iOS devices.
You could try contacting the developers and see if they are planning on putting their apps back in the store, until if/when they do then your friends won't be able to download them (and you won't be able to redownload them, so if you haven't already done so you may want to copy the app to your computer's iTunes library).

HT1660 i need help.does someone know how to reconfigure my library? my itunes library is completely messed up. i now have many duplicates. my old playlists are gone.. arrrgh

i was having problems with my songs skipping ahead so i converted them all to MP3 and this resolved it. when i synced my library with ipod and iphone my playlists disappeared. the playlist title was there but no songs. i then tried to fix this and in the process messed up my library completely where i have all kinds of duplicates now . help!!

Click C:\
Click Users
Click your account
Click your music
Click itunes folder
Drag the iTunes library.xml and iTunes library.lib files to desktop
Reopen iTunes - it should be empty
Click File>add folder to library> Locate your music folder- choose and should be corrected - unless you have duplcated music in your folder as well
