HT4609 if i uninstall my itunes will i loose all of my music?
I installed the new version of itunes on my computer. I do not like it i want to go back to the version before. If i uninstall my program will i loose all of my music that i have in my itunes. Or will it auto matically put it back in it??
well there is a problem with your plan, itunes really wont let you downgrade, if you where to try it would be a **** of a journey. If your music was added from folders and such the music will still be where it was added from, if yuo bought the music through itunes there is a very good chance it will be gone, but can be recovered through itunes via your account

I'm having problems with install version 11.1.4. If I uninstall and reinstall will I lose all my downloaded music?
Hi, so did I. It seems to be a huge problem with everyone. I opened a folder on desktop and called it target. I copied all my songs into that folder.
I uninstalled Itunes completely. Rebooted. Then I installed a fresh install.
I then dragged all the songs back to Itunes and it worked. I hope that helps.
I read an article the other day and apple is suppose to come out with some genius fix for this problem, it really seems to be global.
Good luck, -
If I sync an iphone with a other itunes, will I loose all my pictures?
If I sync an iphone with a other itunes, will I loose all my pictures?
That's likely. You should only sync with one iTunes.

If i sync my iPhone with another iTunes will i loose all my apps and photos?
If i sync my iPhone with another iTunes will i loose all my apps and photos?
All iTunes content on your iPhone will be removed first.
Unless you transfer photos from another computer when doing so, the photos transferred from the other computer will not be touched.
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are not part of and not touched with the iTunes sync process. -

I accidentally disabled my iphone and woould like to recover my pictures if possible, never been synced with itunes in the past?
If you need to restore it, and you do not have a backup, then yes, you will loose everything that is on it.
You need to have a backup in iTunes or iCloud to have any chance of restoring and then recovering your data. And a backup only backs up photo's in the camera roll, not everything in all your other albums. Those are expected to be saved on your computer somewhere.
So if you have been taking photos, never transferred them to your computer, and never backed up, then there is no way to recover them after a restore. -
If I don't resubscribe will I loose all my uploaded Music?
I want to purchase iTunes Match but am worried that if one year I forget/don't want to resubscribe I'll loose any music that has been uploaded (not purchased in iTunes).
Does all my music wait for me to resubscribe or does it just all get removed? It will be removed after some time when your subscription has expired so before it expires, make sure to download all the contents of your iTunes Match library. If you do not want your subscription to renew, then cancel the auto renewing for iTunes Match.

While running an update in itunes (not installing), it stopped in the middle of the update and i receceived the following messages:
Application failed to start because AVFoundationCF.dll was not found. Reinstalling itunes may fix the problem. Then "itunes was installed incorrectly. Please reinstall itunes Error 7 (Windows error 126)". If i uninstall and reinstall itunes will I lose all of my music, etc.?Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

my ipod is not recognized by my itunes and tells me to uninstall itunes and reinstall it. will this erase all of my music?
Hi braddyloopy,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, your music files should not be erased or affected in any way. It is always a good idea to back up your data before making any changes to your computer, though.
If you'd like to locate your music, this article explains how to find the files:
Where are my iTunes files located?

When you reinstall iTunes, I'd recommend using the method in this article to make sure it's reinstalled completely:

If I uninstall itunes to reinstall, will I loose all my lists?
If I uninstall itunes to reinstall, will I loose all my lists?
Uninstalling and reinstalling will normally not affect the content and settings already in your iTunes.
That said, it's wise to make a backup of any content that you've purchased from the iTunes Store or that would otherwise be difficult to replace, as well as backing up your playlists if you have extensive ones, before you reinstall, just in case something would happen to go wrong.

When you reinstall iTunes, your iTunes library won't be modified, so you won't lose any of the songs you have in it, but make a backup of your iTunes library on another folder just in case -

Will I lose all of my music if I uninstall then reinstall itunes?
Im unable to open iTunes on my computer since I updated to the latest version. This message appears "QuickTime was not found. QuickTime is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again." If I do so, will I lose all of my music? How can I fix this so I can sync my phone?
ThanksNo, you won't lose any music. iTunes is simply a method for playing the music on your computer
You can remove and reinstall and upon doing so, you should be asked to specify where your music is, if in fact it is somewhere other than the standard place - ie
C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxxxx\My Documents\My Music
Not sure what happens to your image files though, in terms of cover art etc
You'll more than likely lose play counts also, if that's of concern
Sure someone else will confirm
Does uninstalling, then reinstalling iTunes affect saved artwork?
And will doing so also delete and 'lose' play counts etc?

Clean install of iTunes 9 fixes problems
