Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Due to a misunderstanding with [email protected] in September of 2010, many of my applications and important files were put into the trash during a cleaning. The trash hadn't been deleted, so a CleanApp rep told me to drag my important files to a folder on my desktop. They were unable to help me with anymore advice with the exception that if I followed the pathway of the application, I could manually restore it to its proper location.
This was asking a lot of me because I didn't have the experience or knowledge of undertaking such a massive restoration. However, I did the best I could. What had been put in the trash was not just a few files -- there were hundreds of files or apps that I discovered in the trash. As I said, this was a misunderstanding. What I have been wanting to do is to upgrade to the next level. However, I worry that if I upgrade a crippled OS X 10.4.11 Tiger, I would be creating more problems than what I already have. Do you agree that an upgrade would make matters worse?It won't necessarily make it worse, but may not make it better. I am not familiar with the utility you usedm though anything that cleans or maintains your Mac should be avoided unless you know what you are doing and what it does. Probably re-installing software from the official sources (download or CDs) is the best way to ensure missing parts are all replaced.
If this is a core duo and not a core 2 duo then the highest you can go is Snow Leopard 10.6 Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac", then "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present). -
I have downloaded Maverick 10.9 and installed , now my mailboxes in mail are randomly arranged as opossed to being in alphebetical order from A at the top to Z at the bottom how do you rearrenge the mailboxes in an alphbetical order.
Sync with my provider Gmail does not rearrange them on my ImacThanks for that .

Shows the way the mailboxes are listed in the mail program under any particular provider, in my case I have three mail provider accounts with mail moved from the inbox to the appropraite mailbox eg [email protected] , Xero - where the incomeing mail is filed.
My problem is to arrange these mailboxes/folders in an alphabetical order under the [email protected] account -
I am having a problem importing my images into Aperture 3 from my Nikon D800E. The images appear as if red paint was splashed across the sky. The Nikon software used to transfer from the camera does not show this problem and Photoshop 6 is fine with the images exported as jpg from the Nikon software. Aperature does not even like the jpg images usable by Photoshop. I am suspecting that Aperture is not correctly using the camera raw file. Also, the histograms are radically different between the corrupted images and the Photoshop (good) versions. Aperture worked just fine for me in June with the same camera. All drivers and software are current as of this posting. Anyone else out there seen this before??
Are you sure you do not have Highlight Hot & Cold Areas turned on? (View->Highlight Hot & Cold Areas)?
The bug in Digital Camera raw only affected Raw images. In your first post you wrote:

If the JPG's have the same problem then it isn't this bug.

You will need to do a DFU restore by holding the home and power buttons down (while the device is plugged in to your computer) until the device's screen goes black and as soon as the screen goes black, count down from 3 and release the power/sleep button, but keep holding down the home button. Then, iTunes will say the iPod needs to be restored. The restore process will take some time and even though the iPod may appear to be frozen, don't interrupt the restore.

After updating my ipad to ios 7.0.4, I discovered that the wonderful 3d page presentation had been changed to an essentially flat two columns of text. The reason that I choose to purchase the device was solely based on this feature. The sense of reading a physical book was overwealmingly wonderful. When I complained about this to Apple support, I was informed that ibooks was essentially an independent developer over which Apple exercised no control. I asked how I could directly register my complaint with ibooks and was told that the only recourse to communicate with the ibooks developers was through an Apple Forum which they "occasionally do read". So how about it ibooks - what say ye?

have a similar problem here. More specifically, I am using a Plantronics Voyager Legend (brand new) with my Iphone5 (iOS 7.0.2). All apps are working great with the headset, e.g., listening to music, normal phone calls, etc. No sound distortion at all.
When I use Skype (most recent version, which is 4.12.258) the sound is very distorted, like scattered. I also successfully used the same headset with a Samsung Galaxy S3 and Skype. No problems. So, I suspect that it must be the combination of Iphone/iOS7 and Skype which messes up the sound.
Does anybody else have the same problem when using that combination of devices and apps?

You cannot. If someone else told you there is a way then they will need to show you. After Effects requires a 64-bit system and the latest release requires Mac OS X v10.8 or v10.9 minimum
