HT4623 Can I update the original iPad to iOS 6?
I have an original iPad which works very well and have no intention of replacing with a new one. However I am unable to upgrade to iOS 6 and I am now getting a list of updates on the update tab that I am unable to action. Can anyone please help ?

IT's because of the system specifcations are probarly not able to handle the new requirements for the iOS 6+ if you want/need those applications you'll have to purchase a new iPad

From what I could find, that is an iPad 1. You can only update to iOS 5.1.1. You can do that on your computer. It may be time to look for a newer iPad as the apps now are set to use iOS 7.0.4.

If you're running iOS 5 or later, go to Settings - General - Software update. (use wifi for this)
I recommend you create a backup first.
