HT4623 Could not activate 3GS iphone after upgrading to ios 6
i'm having the same problem. after upgraded to ios 6.1.3 from ios 5.1.3. i cant activate my iphone.
neither using wifi nor itunes. it cant be activated after the language selection and region selection. it appear to have text "your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. try reconnecting your iphone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a few minutes." "if problem persists, contact apple support at apple.com/support." what else i can do?whats wrong with the activation server?? please, urgent. need to turn on my phone line immediately !
Apple stopped signing iOS 6. Though speaking now, I don't know if they stopped signing every iPhone..

Could not activate the Iphone after updating
I just update the software and after updating, it shows on the phone slide to set up, I did it and put all the information that is needed but unfortunately I could not activate the phone, did it many times...but it shows, iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. I tried even connecting to itunes to activate but still same result...The iphone was perfectly working before I update the software...what must i do now? help me please.
Generally this is a sign that the iPhone has been jailbroken or hacked.
Google may provide some direction if this is the case. -

Please help me I am stuck in this page more than 2H and I cannot use my iPhone anymore.I had something similar (wouldn't connect to my router). I just reset the router, and it went like a dream from there. Myabe your problem too? Good luck.

Just keeps saying the activation server cannot be reached. Am I too impatient or is there something actually wrong?
Check to see if your antivirus or firewall is blocking access to gs.apple.com. You might also see this message if your phone was jailbroken or if your computer was used to jailbreak in the past.
If neither of these apply, just keep trying. There's a very heavy load on Apple's data centers right now. -

This is because your phone was previously jailbroken.

Not a good sign. Try forcing the phone into recovery mode & restoring it. If this fails, make an appointment at an Apple store:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

Please help to investigate the problem as I could not activate the phone after updating software to iOS7. in the phone the erroe message is "Your iPhone could not be activated because the actiovation server cannot reached. I have try to activate both of way such by WiFi & Cellular activation and connecting with iTunes but still face the problem and could not completed activation the phone.
How do i activate the phone or have to wait for hour not couple min as you suggested.

KritpasThere is nothing you can do. That is the Activation Lock that Apple has implemented tout down on theft of their iPhones.
Most likely the iPhone is stolen.

My iphone is stuck in a state of "could not activate this iPhone"...
I've had the iOS 7 bet for as long as its been out, and it automatically updated to the full OS when that was released, and now, last night it just interrupted my usage, and brought me to a screen prompting me to "activate this iphone" and whenever I sign in and click "activate this iphone" nothing happens, than after a few minutes it says "could not activate this iphone"...
Someone please help me. I also tried using itunes to activate it, but it says its fully updated. And I cant even restore it: because it says I must first "turn off findmyiphone in the settings on my phone" but those settings are unreachable. someone. please. help. sir i entered my icloud id when i want to activate my iphone..
i am **** sure that id i am entering in iphone is correct..
still iphone says this id could not activate this iphone...
i disable find my iphone and deleted icloud from iphone before restoring it.
so according to terms and conditions iphone can not ask me for apple id to activate ..

this problem is making me mad.. i cant do my work without iphone.. contact asap...Sometimes it happens when phone is not connected to Internet. If it is not - try connect to itunes on the computer and activate again. If it is - good luck and advice to reset password.
