I'm trying to download my pix off the phone (they sent the wrong one) on to my new one.
My itunes says I need a newer version on the phone. When I go to updates it only gives me the option to
Purchase a new iTunes.
Itunes is a free program always has been.
Try to explain exactly is happeneing?
What exactly does the error message say?
Importing pics from iphone to computer has nothing to do with itunes at all. Pics taken with iphone are imported as with any other digital carea.

My iphone does not connect to my email provider and fetch my email. I have been getting emall ok previously, this occurred when I changed my password on my email account. I have "set up a new account" but get the message "server is unavailable". I have tried several things but to no avail. Does anyone have the solution?

Will I have to buy a new macbook to get iCloud?
I have the Intel Core Duo, not the Intel Core 2 Duo and therefore I can't upgrade to Lion and can't switch my mobileme to iCloud. I am very frustrated as to how to do this.
I don't have a PC and would like iCloud to use my existing email address and just not sure how to do this as every time I try and switch on one of my mobile devices iPad2 and iphone4S it tells me to switch using my mac or PC.... grrrr I can't switch from either because they don't have the OS to handle the switch or the hardware.
Please can someone advise me what I should do... I don't have the money to buy a new macbook and there's nothing wrong with this one anyway so why should I have to buy a new one?

You can migrate using a Snow Leopard Mac (you don't say what system you are using - please always do) - go to http://me.com/move and when you are asked to confirm that your Mac has Lion, lie and say 'Yes'.
However you need to be aware of the implications. This will be the situation on Snow Leopard if you migrate:
Your email, calendars, and 'Find my iPhone' will be migrated to iCloud. Contacts and Bookmarks cannot be migrated from a Snow Leopard Mac.
Your iDisk, together with website hosting and Gallery, will continue to work as before until next June.
Syncing of Dashboard Widgets, Dock Items and Keychains between Macs, and Mail Accounts, Mail Rules, System Preferences, Signatures & Smart Mailboxes between Macs & iOS devices, will cease altogether.
You will be able to access email and calendars on the iCloud website at http://icloud.com provided your browser is reasonably up-to-date.
You will not be able to sync contacts or bookmarks from a pre-Lion Mac.
You will be able to enter the server settings for email manually in the Mail application and access your email.
You will not be able to sync your calendars directly.
Some people have been able to set up calendar syncing by using the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point. BusyCal is an iCal-like calendar application with extra facilities: it can sync with the iCloud Calendar while running on Leopard, Snow Leopard or Lion.
There appears to be no method of syncing contacts (though Address Book on a Mac can be synced with Google or Yahoo address books - I don't know how reliable this is).
Note that f you have MobileMe mail set up to collect mail from external POP accounts you should cancel this before migrating, or you may find it still working in iCloud (where it isn't supposed to) and with no way of stopping it.
You should be able to migrate using Leopard, with similar effects. You may not be able to do so on Tiger unless you use a browser other than Safari - I can't confirm this. You can set up the mail in Tiger - the method is different and is detailed here. -

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer. iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. I bought my first iMac 27" i5 in November 2011 last year.
Do you think there would be a update that will Features a Retina Display, Siri etc ??

The iMac you have is an excellent machine, be happy with it and get a good few years use out of it. By the time your machine is slowing down, whatever comes next will have been updated numerous times.

Correct. That error indicates you have a 2G iPod. You say you have an 8 GB 3G iPod there is not such thing. Apple only made 32 and 64 GB 3G iPods. You have a 2G iPod.

If officially unlocked, you can purchase a sim from one of the two nationwide GSM carriers, AT&T or T-Mobile. However, AFAIK, none of the carriers in India offer unlocking for the iPhone. Thus, if your phone is carrier locked, the only way it will work in the US is roaming...that would cost a fortune.
So, if you have a carrier locked iPhone, leave it home or sell it before you come to the US, then purchase an officially unlocked iPhone, from Apple, when you get to the US. You'll be able to use that phone in India when you go back. -

Bought the phone on contract last January (late in january), had my charger replaced just after christmas and now it has stopped working again, its been about a month and a half and the replacement charger is broken, does the replacement charger come with a new warranty or will I have to buy a new charger? And if so, is there a charger that doesn't break easily (my problem is the the wire at the phone end of the cable seems to bunch and twist etc.)

I take my sim out of my phone so that I won't be tempted to make phone calls while abroad. I now have the issue of having lost my phone and not being able to find it with the "Find My Iphone". I am still technically under a 90 day warranty but can my phone be replaced or do I have to buy a new one?
The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and workmanship. If your phone is not operating properly and has not been physically damaged, it will be replaced under warranty.
The warranty is NOT insurance against theft or loss.

Frequent problem on 2006 17" imac!
Most of the time, it's a defective LCD panel.
To validate if it is the LCD panel or the graphic card, you can take a screen shot (cmd+Shift+3) and see if the problem is visible on the screen shot.
If it is not visible, then it's most likely the LCD panel.
This can be confirmed by connecting an external display to your iMac.
If it works well, then it's the LCD panel that is defective.

It appears a yellow line of pixels on my iPad mini screen
One day I take my iPad mini and saw a yellow pixel line on the screen, I used the iPad for an hour (more or less), and the line disappeared, but then (2 hours) it appeared again. In this moment the line appears and disappears for a while. I restarted
