I recently had trouble with my iphone 4S and wound up having to restore it.
When I did, the email lost 2 folders.
How can I get that feature back?

Problems after software upgrade iphone 3.0

Several problems after upgrading my iphone to the recent software 3.0
- not receiving mail (sending mail ok)
- the Wi-Fi function is behaving sttange
- icon for SMS has changed

Sorry I cannot help you... i have other problems ... since upgrade - need apple to designate a forum for such issues... (never mind that it killed my itouch even though i did not update it... (i.e. Purchase it) as i don't need it on my itouch.

IPhone 5 iOS 7.1.2 cellular network problem after reset

It was working just fine before I resetted my iPhone..I'm running on iOS 7.1.2 iPhone 5 32gb.. Does anyone know what cause this thing to happen?
it just a fully reset using phone itself..and I did ask apple store n the did the software fix and nothing change..still network prob..no service, searching for network, got reception but cant use it, got reception but stuck on edge and bla bla bla bla..wifi working just fine.. i did ask technician about this matter and they said if software fix doesn't fix anything then it's totally prob on my board..but seriously just a reset totally ruin my network..???i did go to my carrier provider..did replaced the new sim and bla bla..still the same.. So please anyone guide me on this and if someone know how to fix this I really appreciate that..thanks a lot.. Mine no more warranty..

There is something wrong with version 7.1.2 cause my 4S has issues after updating to 7.1 with Bluetooth and WiFI (they disconnect)... its impossible to go back once the first version 7 is done... sorry... you have to, either wait for an update from apple or make them change your phone! I had to change 2 times my phone 4s before i realized it was after the update.

Problems with resetting my iPhone 5 (iOS 7.1.2)

Good afternoon,
I just updated my account regarding a new e-mail address, a new password, new security questions etc.
After that, I wanted to reset my iPhone 5. I tried resetting it directly on my phone which did not work out because in the end, you need to type your passwort but unfortunately, it still showed my old e-mail address and it would not accept neither my old nor my new password.
So I connected my iPhone to iTunes and tried resetting it on my computer. This was not possible as I connected my iPhone to "FindMyiPhone" (Or whatever it is called in English ;-)). So I logged in on www.icloud.com and tried to delete my iPhone. I think, this is where I messed up badly.
Right now, my iPhone shows the "I have lost this iPhone, please call me xxx" and it seems impossible to set it up.
iTunes says it is not possible to connect to my iPhone as the SIM card is locked.
I have absolutely no idea what to do anymore.
It would be very nice if someone could help me here.....

I had the exact same problem for the last two days. I deleted my account on my iPhone, but it would still say the user/password were incorrect and the server connection failed when trying to add it back. I tried to log on through the browser but I would get the same error message. I clicked on "I forgot my password" and reset it to the exact same password I already had. This allowed me into my email. I was then able to successfully add the email account back to my phone.

Through user management, users passwords can be reset and sent via email automatically.
Which database procedure behind the scene is used for this? I've created a script to automate user creation and I need a way to email the passwords to users and I think we can re use Oracle solution that emails the password after reset.
Pls let me know if you have any details of PLSQL/Java used to reset and email the password

Thanks yes I reset it as new my mistake . most things returned contacts dropbox mail accounts.
do you think I have lost my work in notability and pages which I can't down load from the App Store.
I get a circle then a squared then nothing as I said I am new to this ipad

Connect your USB cable to your computer but not to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until step 3.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button down, connect the USB cable to the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen. When this screen appears, you can release the Home button:

iTunes should automatically open and display the following message:

External Display resolution problem after resetting PRAM

Gello, I've got Fujitsu-Siemens P19-2 monitor hooked up to my MbookPro and after resetting PRAM the correct display resolution disappeared from the "Displays" menu in System PReferences.
So did the refresh rate option...
What do I do?
I really need to change the refresh rate and the resolution, but the refresh rate button is grey and unclickable, and the resolution simply isn't there (I need 1280x1024).
REsetting PRAM and SMC didn't help.

Permission problem after upgrade of iPhone

I just upgraded iPhone 5s yesterday to the newest software version and since then cannot connect it to my macbook pro it gives me an error "you don't have permission to access this iPhone" but I his "Trust" every time it asks me, every time I reconnect.
I hit continue in iTunes
and I hit Trust on iPhone. I restarted both devices few times. Nothing helps.

It sounds like you are getting an error message whenever you connect it to iTunes saying you dont have permission to access it, even though you tap Trust when it prompts you. I would start by resetting the phone while it's unplugged from the computer:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Then test the issue again. If it persists, I would next backup the phone to iTunes or iCloud:
How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes
Then I would use Recovery Mode to re install the iOS on the phone. Choosing update rather than restore will not compromise the data, but the backup is there just in case:
Connect your device to a computer and open iTunes. If you don't have a computer, you can borrow one, or go to an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Providerfor help.
While your device is connected, force it to restart. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding until you see the Recovery mode screen.
When you get the option to restore or update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
iTunes will download the software for your device. If it takes more than 15 mintues, your device will exit recovery mode and you'll need to repeat steps 2 and 3 again.

Installing "find my iphone" after reset of iphone 4

I have completly reset my iphone 4 to be transfered to my wife. When I try to install "find my Iphone" as well as "find my friends" in the iphone 4 under her new user ID, it does not allow. I get a message saying you need IOS8 which is not there to be upgraded in iphone 4.

There is no 'find my phone' application for the Mac, instead you can log into your account at iCloud.com and use the feature there.

HT201328 Problems after unlocking my iPhone with ATT

After unlocking my iPhone 3GS with ATT and going through the restore process via SIM card, WiFi and iTunes, I am unable to re-activate my phone.
Using a T Mobile SIM card and/or via WiFi I get a message that the server is temporarily unavailable. When I try iTunes, I get a message indicating that there is no SIM card inserted when it has one in.
Help?

Never got the "Congratulations" message. The phone stops when looking for telephone connectivity (third step after choosing a WiFi network).
The phone whas unlocked and jailbroken long time ago using a thrid party software but lately could never update it to a more recent iOS. Apps were not being updated and stopped working. So, I decided to unlock the iPhone using the ATT/Apple process. I updated the iOS before unlocking it using the Apple/ATT instructions.
