Don't worry, just follow these steps to fix iPhone stuck on Apple logo
=> First of all Start your Computer and then connect with Internet connection, now Download the latest version of the iTunes application
=> Now install the iTunes application in your System and connect your Device with computer via Data cable
=> Now connect your Device with iTunes application and then Tab on summary option, see in the left side bar of iTunes
=> Now Select restore option from iTunes and then confirm the Restore Message for better results. After this unplug your Device and Restart it

Recently I erased an iPhone 3 so that it could be passed on and used by someone else, using the erase all content and settings feature. This has killed my iPhone and it is now stuck on the Apple logo. I have tried a restore in iTunes but recovery fails. This is not a jailbroken iPhone. Anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?
If you haven't already tried, see if you can force it into recovery mode to restore it:

Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart. Usually takes about 10 seconds time. If still problem. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the Firmware.

I needed to do a hard reset on my iPhone 3GS and it's taking me too much time. It's taking almost 3 hours by now!!!!
I did it by going to "Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings", confirm it and then the iPhone turns off, gets the screen black with only the animated circle going on. And it's been there since then.
Is this a symptom of something bad? Should I do the hard reset by another way?Hello Ali Syed,
It sounds like your phone is stuck at the spinning gear icon on the screen after Erasing all Content and Settings on your device. I would start by resetting the device with this process:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

IPod Touch stuck at loading screen after clicking Erase all Content and Settings
I have a 4th generation iPod Touch running iOS 5.0.1 and I recently jailbroke it. I wanted to update to iOS 6 so I went to Settings>Genera>Reset and clicked on Erase all Content and Settings. It is now stuck on the spinning loading screen and its been like this for 3 hours. My homebutton no longer works so I can't put it into DFU mode. I tried to restore in itunes but it won't even connect to itunes and dosn't show up at all. If you have any info, please post. I really don't wanna have to replace my home button or get a new iPod. Thanks
Try the following as much as you can without Home button working. When it says to place the iPod in recovery mode use this program.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

her contacts are connected directly with the Google Server so as long as they are saved to her Gmail account she should be 100% fine.. the only contacts she may lose are the ones that she added directly onto the phone and did not sync to her Gmail account.. so you should just double check with her on that

Are you sure it's asking for a four digit code?

I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear what issues you were having that led up to the attempted Erase All, and/or exactly what behavior you are seeing now (restarting, not responding at all, etc). Do you have a SIM in the phone? A SIM is required to activate the phone.
If you do, ask your dad if the phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it. -

If you're going to sell it, use "Erase All Content and Settings".
If you're selling it, what difference does it make to you if the apps get erased? You don't have the legal right to transfer any apps you bought to anyone else. Not to mention the fact that you stated you have never been able to download new apps...
