HT4623 Error 1645 while trying to update iPad to IOS 5?

I can't upgrade to IOS 5. Anyone know what Error 1645 means during the restore process?

It worked for me after I disabled the Passcode, turned off WiFi and Cell networks, closed all apps (hit the home button twice and then hold on an app to bring up the close button). After all that power down and power up. Worked for me then.
However it is probably more related to as others have said the sheer volume of hits.

Have tried to update to iOS 6.1.3 on iPad2. All seems to go ok untIl the status bar is about 3/4 full, then hangs until error message "an error has occurred during download". Have do,me the update with norm les on my iPhone. Mt wife has updated her iPad mini, also without problem ( as she smugly keeps reminding me). What iOS version are you currently running?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you are updating using wifi, locate your iPad close to your router so you don't get a wifi dropout (can cause update corruption).

I've downloaded the Adobe AIR Installer, but the installer always indicates that it will update Adobe AIR
Installed: 1.5.2.8870
Update: 1.5.3.9130
A spotlight search for these two log files produces nothing.
I also followed your instructions here:
Double-click the Terminal application located at /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
Type cd /Users/userName.
Type echo > .airinstall.log and/or echo > .airappinstall.log "
But terminal replies with "No such file or directory"

Stuck between "Recovery Mode" and "an error occurred while trying to update

My iPod touch is stuck in Recovery Mode (meaning it has become a $500 paper weight) and when I plug it into iTunes and try to restore and update it the message is something like "an error occurred while trying to update your iPod (14)". Everything was just fine until I downloaded software 2.2 and try to install it. I've tried disconnecting other USB devices and changing the USB port (as I read about this in other forums) but still no success. I've been trying since yesterday now, and I am beginning to get desperate. I'd appreciate any help. These updates seem to have become a "plug and pray" kind of thing...

if if makes you feel any better, i received my ipod touch and two hours later it did the same exact thing. i've followed everything on the apple website and nothing works. it does make a great paperweight though.

I received an error message when attempting to install the latest update as well. Went through all steps, downloaded through Itunes and when asked to update my apple id by entering an e -mail, the following error message appears:
Could not sign in
There was a problem connecting to the server.
However, I was able to access google/gmail account servers prior to installing iOS 6. Now my phone is stuck at this error message and I can't use it!

Hi, While trying to update Minecraft version 1.17, my ps3 keeps getting an error code or freezing on 0%, 80710092. I have checked all connections and tried all manner of fixes from the internet but nothing has worked. I have re-booted both the PS3 and the router, but the error keeps occuring. I usually install app updates with iTunes on my computer followed by syncing my iPhone to install the downloaded updates on my iPhone. When syncing your iPhone with iTunes the first time after downloading app updates with your iPhone, the updates are transferred to your iTunes library on your computer. Less of a chance for a potential problem when doing so with iTunes on your computer.

When i try and download i-tunes i get a message about URBCHN1 not being a win32 command, or something similar.

I am trying to update my IPad 2 to the new iOS 6. . .but when I check ofr updates, I get an error message "Unable to check for update - An error occurred while chekcing for a sofware update" .
I have powered off and tried again . . .but it still cannot . My Wifi is fine - and the IPad is plugged in.
Are other people having these issues.
I tried to log onto Apple support and got an DNS error message. . .

I'm trying to update my ios from 4.1 to the newest one but each time i try to do it, I get an error message 3194, I tried to trouble shoot by turning off my virus protection as well as delete and reinstall itunes but nothing works which was suggested by the FAQ's from itunes. The last time this happened i got a replacement from apple because i was within my warenty period but now I don't have that luxury. Can someone please help me try and figure out how to resolve this problem??

Error 1604 while trying to update to ISO 5

I was trying to update my iPhone 4 to the new ISO 5. It did the back up of the phone but while it was updating i recieved the error 1604.
I turned off my firewalls, and disabaled my antivirus and tried again. It reconized my phone and said it was in the middle of a restore. Again I selected update/restore and it did the Same thing again. I uninstalled iTunes, reinstalled and restarted my computer. Now itunes is not reconizing my phone at all. The computer see's it connected and says anew hardware is read, but the icon does not appear in iTunes for the phone.
What do I need to try now?

Error 3194 when trying to update iPad 2 to iOS 5

I was just trying to update my iPad 2 to iOS 5, and after 'verifying the update with itunes' the updating process stopped. Something popped up that said an error (error 3194) had occurred.
I had previously jailbroken another device on that computer. But, I later restored the device and tried to remove all the jailbreaking software from my computer. Since then I have not had a problem updating my devices on iTunes, until now. I am guessing my previous attempt at jailbreaking is causing these problems. Is there a way to fix this?

See this support document for error codes. Resolve iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support The 39 does not appear, but there is a 37 and 40, so I would believe it is close to that.
If you are having trouble updating, you need to check this support document for that. You may need to put the device into Recovery Mode.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
It could also be the security software on the Windows PC. Another question, is the device jailbroken?
