example is when I have a friend call the ring tone is wrong and the picture doesn't show up.
How do I fix this?

All the "apple" icons such as STOCKS, etc can't be deleted. I use itunes to move them all onto the last screen of icons that I have so I never have to look at them. Kind of dumb you can't delete even apple icons that you never use. I'd rather save the phone memory and use it for something else.

Since upgrading to iOS 6 my iPhone 4 has been acting up and tonight it has totally died!!! No response at all. Please help what can I do?
I suggest contacting apple support...I know in Australia it's 1300 321 456...Not sure what it is for where you are, try this website http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57. Alternatively, if you haven't already, sync it with iTunes. If the iPhone's not been synced before, try holding the power and home buttons down at once. That should reboot the phone. Might sound stupid, but make sure it's fully charged first.

Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 4 to Version 5, all the new apps that I try to download keeps saying "waiting" on my phone... It won't open or download! Only the old apps that I already had before I upgraded my phone works. Please help!!!
Try resetting the iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hello! Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 5s to IOS 7.1, I am unable to access the iPhone Keyboard if I access contacts using the recent calls tab. I am also unable to access the keyboard if I want to search for a contact as long as I went through the recent calls tab. Has anyone a fix for this problem? If you want to try it out, do the following?
Dial a number from your iPhone Keypad. After cutting the call, try to save the number you just dialled to your contacts by choosing the new contact option. You will see that you will not be able to key in the name of your new contact.Works fine for me.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset. -
My iphone 5 has just had an update for candy crush and ever since i opened it the screen has been black and I can't get it to do anything what can I do?
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.) Relaunch the App and try again.

- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Delete the App, then reinstall it.
Test the issue after each step. Make sure to quit the app as described before each followup step. -
Ever since I upgraded my iPad to IOS6, I have been unable to get into my work email, which is through Google. No problems before update.
Downgrading to an older iOS version is not supported on iOS devices.
Make sure that you have downloaded all of the updates for your apps and see if that helps.
Try this as well. if the Apple apps are working OK and it is the third party App Store apps that are crashing - try downloading another app - any free app. See if that helps.
You said that you reset the iPad but you may have to restore your iPad to factory settings and then to a backup if you can't resolve the problem. -
Recently my iphone 4 has been acting dumb
i'm not sure why it is doing all this things but here is a list of what is recently has been doing:
when i charge it, the screen goes completely black and this little white loading circle is in the middle and it does that for ages and finally loads. (the black screen with the white loading thing happens sometimes even if i'm not charging it and it lasts for about 20 minutes)
it made all my pictures and videos and albums that were in my gallery disappear but they're slowly coming back (it says restoring 24 of 1,084 with a loading thing) it has done this about 3 times now
it deletes all my saved messages and it has never brung them back
sometimes when i try to open apps it closes them in approximately 2 seconds
sometimes when i'm using an app it will exit it out in the middle of whatever i'm using
i only have 4 apps downloaded and it says i've ran out of storage completely which means i can't use my camera, download more apps, or update anything
when i listent to my music it will suddenly stop and i'll have to go back to it and make it play again
basically those are all of the things my iphone 4 has been doing and i've dropped it a few times but i've never dropped it really badly to where it's cracked, my phone actually doesn't even have one scratch on it so i don't understand why these things are happening and i've had it for about 9 months so if there's anything you can do to help me fix it that would be really appreciated. also, i have not done the software update ios 6 because appearently i don't have enough storage to do that either.idkhelpmyphoneisbroken wrote:

If you are using the iphone as it is designed you won't.
You should be importing all pics/vids taken with your iphone to your computer regularly as you would with nany digital camera.
Restart loses nothing, nor does reset.
Restore does erase, but you should always make sure that pics/vids are imported, contacts and calendars are synced, music is transferred to your computer. -
Every time I touch my iTunes app it opens for about 1-2 seconds and then immediately shuts back down. Has anyone else experienced this or have suggestions on how to fix this?

I go to settings and switch "Automatic time" off and then back on. It works for a while, but then just goes back to being off. I've tried manually setting the time, but it just goes back to what it was before. If I send a text, it sends and then disapears. I can't see what I wrote! It's not hacker or a virus. You are experiencing what a number of users of iOS 5 are experiencing now - sluggish or less than perfect iPad performance. It seems that for some of us - memory management has gotten a little out of whack with this most recent update. Some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you can try are ....
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close apps in the recents tray. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If you have Safari crashing issues - Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these steps should be necessary as part of your daily routine - the iOS is supposed to handle all of this without any user input. Once again - for some of us - the iOS is letting us down.
Until Apple releases another update that resolves this issue for the "few" that suffer, keep these steps in mind and use them as needed. -
My iPhone 4 has been acting weird since the update to iOS 5.1.1
I charged it to 100% yesterday morning and by the time I went to bed it was at 13%. I didn't do anything I don't normally do. A few games, email, check weather, sports scores; a couple hours of use.
Then this morning I was texting a buddy that's in town and when I got a response my screen just flashed on then off really quick and it make a weird static noise instead of the bell when I went to unlock the phone to read the message. Just before this I changed the volume of the ringer in settings because it sounded really high.
Has anyone else experienced anything weird since updating? I'm trying a reboot and will watch it for a while. Might be time to take it in and have it checked out.hi Allan,
Can't make or receive any calls. When making a call, you see the thing dialing but no tone, it rings at he other end however. When somebody trying to call me, it does not ring at my end. If you try to end the call, the phone page will just freeze, when you exit the phone page to go try the MP3 player for example, and come back, the phone is still trying to end the previous call. I tried resetting the network settings, turn the phone off and on , no difference at all. It's easter Sunday, everything is closed here in Montreal. -

Is there anyone that can tell me a little bit about what is going on?I've restored it several times with no backup at all and it doesn't seem to help. Almost all of my apps crash I have deleted almost all of them hoping if it was a memory prob it would be fixed but no the main one is safari it crashes all the time. It also just acts really weird. When I am typing anything on safari the letters will drag and then slowly catch up when I'm typing. It will also go to a different kind of screen format like its trying to figure out if it's a computer or phone when I rotate the screen. I have go in and delete the website data and clear everything almost everyday and it still does this. Iphone 5 Battery Charging Acting Strange
The last few days my Iphone 5 has been acting strange with charging the battery. I will be charging it and it will not go past a certain number then if i unplug it a couple times or restart it then it says 100%. It will be ok for a little while and then go through the same thing. Yesterday my phone said 36% and a couple minutes later shut itself down because it was a 0%. So the number is just not reading correctly.
Is this just as simple as changing the batter most likely? Or something else, other than this the phone works fine as far as i can tellAlways try to charge iPhone when convenient for you. You can use iPhone right out of box, no problems, or you can charge it up if convenient. The best time for most users to charge iPhone is at night while they are sleeping so it is fully charged for the next day. The iPhone lithium battery is very versatile, so charge when convenient for you, it will not effect performance or life.

Ever since my upgrade to lion 10.7.3, and iCloud, my macbook is running extremely slow. What can I do? It doesn't seem like my contacts are pushing through to the computer from iPhone.
Then your basic issues are: too little RAM, incompatible software, dysfunctional installation.
Add more RAM or kill as many programs that you use until the computer is running normally.

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

I upgraded to 10.7.4, to upgrade to iCloud. And ever since the upgrade to iCloud, my iCal, Address book, etc. won't sync to my iPhone. My iMAC does sync with my MacBook Pro but not to my iPhone. What do I do? And though my iMac sync to my MacBook Pro, there is a little problem. My iCal shows let's say 9 AM in my iMAC, it shows 8 AM in the MacBook Pro. The scheduling in the iCAL is a bet of a mess eer since of the upgrade.
PLEASE HELP ME SOMEBODY PLEASE!!!To sync to your iPhone, you need to check iCloud requirements to be sure your iPhone is compatible with iCloud and your iPhone software is up to date.
You also need to make sure iCloud is enabled on the iPhone.
And you need to make sure the iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi in order to sync.
For the time difference, be sure the time settings on each device is the same with time zone and daylight saving time the same setting on each.
