HT4623 getting error message when trying to update

When I have my ipad connected to my imac to sync, I click on update and it says "can ot connect to server check your connection" however I am connected but get this message. I recently moved to a new house and I also get a message every time I open itunes "ax.itunes.com could be a imposter or acting..blah blah blah dont remember exactly what it says but I click continue and it opens my itunes. I don't know if this is the reason I cant update my ipad :/ help

What version of iTunes are you using? Do any of the error messages have a number?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

In your project view can you right click on the chassis in the cRIO and make sure that it is set for Scan Mode and not FPGA mode? Also, In the measurement and automation explorer you can check the cRIO and verify that it has Scan Engine Support installed on it. Hi there, I am in the middle of updating my iPhone 5. I consistently received an error message saying " An error occurred downloading iOS 7.0.2.", what can be the possible cause of this error? I have tried to use both iTunes and direct updates in vain. What could be the problem?

If you get that error when using iTunes 10.5, it means you've hacked the phone to downgrade the iOS in the past.
"This device is not eligible for the requested build: Also sometimes displayed as an "error 3194." If you receive this alert, update to the latest version of iTunes. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. I'm trying to update a 10.6.7 computer to 10.6.8 But I get an error message everytime.
The error messages read:The installation failed! The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

IPhone 5 gets error message when trying to update to 7.1.1

The phone connects to the iTunes, but iTunes doesn't recognize the phone and says I have to restore the whole thing. How can I avoid this and still get the update?
Any ideas on why the phone isn't recognized, it connected fine last week.

Try signing out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again and see if that works for you.
Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap your ID and sign out.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Sign in again -Settings>Store>Apple ID - sign in.
If that doesn't work either, reset your iPad and see if that helps.

I keep getting "the network connection could not be established" message when trying to update my iPad, iPad2 and iPhone4 devices using either my iMac or MacBook. The Macs and iOS devices are apparently working correctly otherwise. Problem started about a day ago when I connected one of the iPads to my iMac and iTunes notified my of an update for the device. I tried and got the above message. Tryied other iPad2 and iPhone4 and get the same message. Also, get same message when trying to update using the MacBook. My system SW is 10.7.3 on the iMac and 10.6.8 on MacBook. iTunes is version 10.6. Have gone thru the check list of things to check and have re-started. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

Another user named Springbk posted a fix that worked for me as I was having the same problem today:
I Changed my DNS settings to OpenDNS
On a Mac go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES>NETWORK>ADVACED>DNS
change DNS by adding ( + )
208.67.222.222
then
208.67.220.220
click okay/apply after. then try the update. after the update, just delete the two open DNS server numbers. should revert back to your old one.

Keep getting error 4002 when trying to update Genius

I haven't seen anyone write about getting error 4002 when trying to update genius in itunes. I select update genius and it gathers information and sends it to the itunes store I assume. And then waits a few seconds and then I get the following message "Genius results can't be updated right now. An unknown error occurred (4002) Please try again later." I've been getting this message for well over a month and I keep hoping they'll be an update or somehow it will magically be fixed, but nothing has changed. Anyone have any insight on this one?
The current ituned library it 123GB and is stored on external drives. It should also be noted that when I first turned on genius when it was released it went through this whole problem without a hitch. I just can't update Genius with any of the music I've added since then. I can't even get genius to recognize music that I got from the itunes store since I've had the problem.

Be careful - this was a disaster for me. Once I did this, I got a different error - an error 4010 and in trying to recover, caused a lot of library issues that forced me to go to a backup to fix. You'll find a lot of people having the 4010 problem. Basically iTunes Genius is a disaster and Apple isn't fixing it.

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

You should always backup your iPad before ever doing anything major that coould result in a catastrophic loss is something goes wrong. You can then usually restore from the backup when your iPad has recovered.
You should also be sure to have transfered any new purchases directly to your iPad to the iTunes app on your computer on a regular basis.
