Help!!!
I have an acient 64GB hard drive PC and a 1TB external drive. I have copies of my itunes for my ipad2 , and my hubs itunes for his ipod in the external drive. The 64GB crashed because it was so full that the virus program couldn't even run... so long story short I now have a re-formatted hard drive with 48.4GB of free space.
My question is how do I go about getting my itunes and hubs itunes back on to the reformatted drive? or is it possible to leave the itunes on my external drive and have both our devices boot to the external drive when they are connected to bypass the ancient hard drive all together as I don't wish to ever overload that thing again.....

I do not see a software update button in my general settings on my iPad....how would I update to ios7?

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

HT4623 HELP with Updating iPod 4.2.1 to iOS5

Help!!! My nephew has an iPod, 4.2.1 version, which I am trying to update to iOS 5 so he can download games. The directions on the Apple website say to go to "Settings," then "General" and then "Software Update". But there is no "Software Update" listed under "General" on his iPod. I have been searching the Apple website & trying different things with no luck! Can someone help me?

His iPod generation cannot be upgraded past 4.2.1. See:

Help with programming Ipad2

I have an application that runs well in simulation on the mac. It requires the use of several .xml and other supporting files to run. My question is when I upload the application to the Ipad2, how do I transfer over the needed files. Also, how do I find the right pathways on the Ipad so that my program can access the right locations to run?
Its a facial recognition application based upon Eigenfaces, requiring several files to manage the library, and not just the xcode.

Don't assume simulator paths and device/iOS paths are identical. See Getting Paths to Application Directories
Are the resources read only? If so, put them in the bundle, top level.
How many are there?
Is there a specific reason for using path'd sub-folders?
How do you intend for them to be handled via iCloud?

I was trying to update the IOS 6 of Iphone 3Gs, and the phone went black showing only the apple logo switching on and off repeatedly. This is been going on for 4 days, and I can't turn the phone back to normal. Please help!!

Sorry. Apple stopes using apps using google things and YouTube was from google so they don't have it anymore. You can still go to m.youtube.com it is a mobile version and it is better then the app.

The iPhone 3G only supports iOS up to version 4.2.1, so if you already have that on the iPhone then you are on the highest version that you can get for it.

I recieved a iPad mini for a christmas present. My niece personalized before I got the gift and forgot the password, now I can't activate it. After six tries it disabled and now says connect it itunes. I'm trying but it isn't doing anything. Do anyone have any suggestion other than go to the apple store.

I attempted to update my Ipad and it is asking for a Pass Code - not a pass word.
It also displays "Ipad is Disabled" Now what Help?

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

You forward a message by pressing the original message until copy or more pops up . Hit more then it will select that message . Then tap arrow in lower right corner an the forwarding prompt will appear .
