just updated iphone 4s to i0s7 and imessage and apple id are not working
On your iPhone 4 if you want iOS 5, the first time you update to iOS 5 it will be to 5.1.1 and it will have to be done with computer on iTunes. After the iTunes/Computer update to 5.1.1, in the future you will you will be able to Update over the air with the Settings App.

I was trying to update the IOS 6 of Iphone 3Gs, and the phone went black showing only the apple logo switching on and off repeatedly. This is been going on for 4 days, and I can't turn the phone back to normal. Please help!!
Sorry. Apple stopes using apps using google things and YouTube was from google so they don't have it anymore. You can still go to m.youtube.com it is a mobile version and it is better then the app.

HT4623 help. i am getting the message iphone in recovery mode. must restore.
it also says itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with iphones.
i cannot even get my phone to turn on at all.
help!!!Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...

The iPhone 3G only supports iOS up to version 4.2.1, so if you already have that on the iPhone then you are on the highest version that you can get for it. -

I do not see a software update button in my general settings on my iPad....how would I update to ios7?
The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

I recieved a iPad mini for a christmas present. My niece personalized before I got the gift and forgot the password, now I can't activate it. After six tries it disabled and now says connect it itunes. I'm trying but it isn't doing anything. Do anyone have any suggestion other than go to the apple store.

Yes. The phone will be back to default settings.
Once the phone is up and running you can try and restore your backup again.

After looking at my phone and realising that it had an update I decided to update... It was norton charge or plugged in and now will not turn on? Tried plugging it in but has been on charge for about an hour now and it's still not turning on? Pls help... Tried the home button and the on/off button together but still no joy

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

The iPad is telling you to connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer so do it. You may have to restore the device.

So I started to update my brand new Ipod 5 ... It started out all well and good and then something popped up saying "Ipod Recovery Mode" I'm like, Umm, what? So then I clicked RESTORE IPOD, and it did nothing. It says, "Unable to restore Ipod while in Recovery mode" or something like that.. I've tried like, 5 times and its just not working!
Someone please help me What do I do?!?!Try:

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Help!!! My nephew has an iPod, 4.2.1 version, which I am trying to update to iOS 5 so he can download games. The directions on the Apple website say to go to "Settings," then "General" and then "Software Update". But there is no "Software Update" listed under "General" on his iPod. I have been searching the Apple website & trying different things with no luck! Can someone help me?
