Plug your phone into the computer
Select your phone under devices on the left
Click on the music option at the top right
Make sure sync music is checked
Then check entire library or selected playlists, etc.

If there are copies of your Music and Apps on your computer, then it's a simple matter of clicking on the iPhone in iTunes and going to the sections at the top (Summary, Info, Apps etc) to tell it what to sync, then click the sync button in the bottom right corner.
If there is nothing backed up to your computer in iTunes, your purchased music and apps can be redownloaded directly from the iPhone:
iTunes app > More > Purchased > Music > Not on this iPhone
App Store app > Updates > Purchases > Not on this iPhone -

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Ise your backup copy to put everything back.

I charged my ipod on my work pc (my itunes library is on my home pc) and i unplugged the usb, which of course erased all of my music on my ipod. No big deal I thought, so I took it home and plugged it in but my ipod would not upload the songs in my itunes library. My question is, how do I get all my songs back on my ipod? do I need to "reset" my ipod in order to upload all of my songs from itunes library to ipod again? How do I properly disconnect my ipod from my work pc when I am done charging (it does not give me that icon that you are supposed to click on before you remove the usb) thank you!!
You can select the option "manually manage music and videos" on itunes, and then select the musics that you want, drag and drop over your Ipod figure on itunes.

How do I put the songs back after format?
I had to format my hard drive. I backed all the music up to CD's. Now I want to put them back. I see in the My Music folder there is an Itunes folder and when I open that there is a Itunes Music folder and Library folder. I'm not sure what folder to copy the songs to so I can have them back in my Library on Itunes. My CD has a lot of yellow folders and inside each folder is either one or two songs. Please help. I backed up the music from the Hard Drive. The songs are in yellow folders with the artist name as the folder name on the CD. Then if I double click on the yellow folder I see the file (song). I would like to put the folders back (but I forgot where they were in My Music) and then import them back into ITunes. Actually I did move them back to a folder inside of the ITunes folder in My Music to a folder called ITunes Music. When I try to click File, Import Folder nothing happens.

Backing up does not remove pics.
You should be importing all pics taken with your iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. If you have failed to do this, then they may very well be gone.

How do I put mislabelled songs back in the album they belong in iTunes?
I stupidly allowed a software program to "clean" my iTunes library, and it created albums for single tracks of other albums which it mislabelled entirely. I don't know how to relabel correctly and make the albums whole again. Relatedly, this same POS took second CD's of two CD sets (especially in my classical collection) and identified them as differect performances and put them non-sequentially, and I would like to correct this condition as well. Thanks for the help.
Just find the Skype application in the Applications folder and drag it back onto the Dock, anywhere to the left of the gap.

How do I put these songs back into their full albums on ITunes?
Individual songs from albums that are being imported from CDs are being listed as albums on my ITunes list. One album imported creates 10 to 15 album covers with only one song with each album.

Quick answer: Select all the tracks on the album, File > get info, and either give them all a single "album artist" or check the "compilation" flag. -

From the iTunes menu bar click File / Transfer Purchase From...
When that's finished, connect the iPhone to your computer.
Select the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Select the Music tab from the menu.

I tried to restore my phone back to the update, but accidentally chose a restoration back to October prior to my acquiring a new data plan with a hotspot connection. for purchases from the iTunes store do this:
connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
