It sounds like you would like to lock or unlock your screen orientation on your iPad. You can achieve this through the Control Center:
Many apps give you a different view when you rotate iPad.
Lock the screen orientation. Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen to open Control Center, then tap the Portrait orientation lock button .
The orientation lock icon the screen orientation lock icon appears in the status bar when the screen orientation is locked.
You can also set the Side Switch to lock the screen orientation instead of silencing sound effects and notifications. Go to Settings > General, and under “Use Side Switch to,” tap Lock Rotation.

You cannot do two different simultaneous VISA writes over a serial bus. There is a single rx line on the pc's com port and a single rx line on the instrument. You only hope is if the instrument allows you to chain commands and the reception of the carriage return triggers the instrument to implement both at the same time. Maybe you can send CTS01 and CTS02 separated by a space or comma. The manual should tell you if that's possible or maybe you need to ask the manufacturer.

In settings check to see if you have Screen Orientation checked or System Sounds checked. If you have Screen Orientation checked, there is a button above the volume control on the right side of your iPad (screen facing you). Click it the other way and your screen will again rotate.
If you have system sounds checked in settings, then on your home page, double tap the home button. The bottom row will be your most recently used Apps. Swipe them to the right until the very last icon and it will be a screen orientation icon, which you'll tap and that will allow your iPad to change orientation.

Hey guys making a site for a friend and I'm not sure on how I go about setting a screen size that can be viewed on varying screen sizes like 1280x800 and up. At the moment on my 1920x1080 display it looks fine but when I open it on her MacBook Pro (1280x800) it is cut of by half and my website has some fixed anchors which I do not allow scrolling so you are kind of stuck.

In the normal state the screen on an iPad will rotate depending on which side is up. Any of the four sides can be up or on top and the display will look correct. But if you want to lock the display in one orientation you can. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center. Then tap on the Orientation Lock icon. That's the icon of the small padlock surrounded by a circular arrow. That icon will appear at the top right of the display and the screen will no longer rotate. Repeat the same procedure to unlock orientation.

How do I set the screen zoom, so that it doesnt change each time I open Firefox. Because I see the webpages in smaller print, and I want them larger , without having to re zoom each time I open Firefox.

I need to know how to set the zoom option under "View" Tab, shere I dont have to re zoom each time I open Firefox. I have a wide screen monitor and generally, when viewing webpages, the web content on any page is confined to center of the page, and I was wondering if there was anyway to permanently set the zoom preferences without having to change them each time i open a webpage.
IE 8 and 9 has a feature to set the magnification and i set mine to 150% which works perfectly for me. I wonder if Firefox has a similar feature.

Hold down the OPTION and the COMMAND key, whilst clicking on the Displays icon in System Preferences.
When the preference pane opens, it will have a drop down menu item to choose a rotation.
