Wait a day or two for the iPhone to completely dry, then plug the iPhone into your computer via USB cable. For the best results you should take it to your nearest Apple store for repair.

My iPhone 4 is turned on and receives calls, but the screen is off and unresponsive, therefor i cannot answer them. none of the buttons are working either, so i can't figure out how to restart the phone. HELP!

also, i should mention that the home button on this phone is BROKEN permanently. hasn't worked in months. i've been using the floating on-screen home button, but since the screen is unresponsive that does me no good at the moment. also, although itunes recognizes the phone i cannot restore it because it says i need to change my icloud settings on the phone first before i can. but again, i cannot access any features of the phone whatsoever. i just need to turn it off and turn it back on again. but like i said, with a broken home button that appears to be impossible. when i hold down the lock/power button for 10 seconds to attempt a restart it does nothing. i really have no idea what to do. You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Kep in mind you can restore it only to the latest version of iOS i.e. 7.0.4
If you have separately downloded IPSW file hold key SHIFT and then click on restore to brwose your IPSW file
Older firmwares are not supported.

That definitely sounds frustrating! To completely isolate the issue, you may want to restore your iPhone in recovery mode, as outlined in this article:

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. If you are having problems restoring your iPhone, then try DFU Mode Restore. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power button, after exactly 10 seconds release the Power Button, keep holding the Home button until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, usually about 20 seconds time. If the iPhone screen is black, blank this is DFU Mode. Click the Restore button of iTunes. DFU Mode can be difficult to enter sometimes, just keep trying. DFU Mode is a black, blank screen with iTunes saying Recovery Mode.

I tried restarting my phone and lost all of my contacts. This has been happening more and more frequently. Today I was in my pictures and was trying to crop one and my phone shut off completely. Anyone know what's wrong with it or how to fix it?

Make sure all apps are fully closed:
- double tap your home button
- hold your finger on an app
- when the apps start to wiggle press the red "-" button on all the apps
Now do a hard reset:
- hold the home button and the sleeps/wake button down at the same time
- the phone will shut off then when the apple logo ppears release both buttons
If by then your contacts have not been restored you would need to try and retreive them from a back up on itunes/icloud that was made when the contacts were on the phone. You could even stream them from the cloud if they were synced to the cloud. The link beow will show you how to restore from an itunes/icloud back up:

My iPhone 4 keeps having the "Restore Needed" message pop up on my phone. I have restored my phone several times this week, and it still keeps happening. The "Restore Needed" message pops up, so I immediately do a hard shut-down. Once the phone restarts, the phone then says "Activation Required". I keep shutting down and restarting the phone, and sometimes it snaps out of it, seemingly on its own. Sometimes I have to go home and restore and activate my phone. How do I fix this? I'm 2.5 hours away from the closest Apple store and 1 hour away from the closest AT&T store.

To get rid of "pop-up ads and other crap on my computer when I am on the internet", click on Safari in the Menu bar, and select Preferences. Next select Extensions. Delete all of them. Restart Safari.
The first step in addressing the black screen is an SMC reset.
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.

That's an iCloud issue. Go to Settings > iCloud and turn off your Contacts, choose to keep the info on your phone, and then restart your phone, and then turn Contacts back on. If that doesn't work, delete your iCloud account from your phone, choose to keep the info on your phone, and then add the account again. If that doesn't work, go to settings > general > reset > reset network settings, and reconnect to your wifi network. If that doesn't work, restore from either an iTunes or iCloud backup.

Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.
