I have just tried to update my iphone 4 to ios 7, but I am at at friends place and therefore their itunes wont reognise my iphone, any advice on how to sort this out?

I would not risk doing a major iOS update on another person's computer. You are going to want to make sure you have a backup of your device as well as access to your iTunes to resync apps and other data. If something went wrong at the friend's, you could risk losing all of your data and not being able to restore to a backup.

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

Try resseting the network settings in settings>general then go to reset a the bottom.
Then reset NETWORK settings.

Ignore it. 'itunes:order' is a recent addition which FeedValidator doesn't know about. If your podcast is rejected that is unlikely to be the reason. Of course as you haven't posted the feed URL nor the text of the error message I can't make any further comment.

Email attachments coming as winmail.dat - how to sort this out permanently?

Since I upgraded to Office 2007 at work, any email received from there that has an attachment is named winmail.dat and will not open. Upgrading my work PC is NOT an option, but I'd like my Mac to be able to recognise the attachment for what it is, either a pdf, or a xls or doc file etc.

Let see, you are using a proprietary file format that is only supposed to work with Outlook. It doesn't work for millions of Windows or Mac or Linux email users that depend on other email programs like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, webmail, etc.
Microsoft has had to publish instructions so that their program's users can make themselves compatible with the rest of the world.

You are causing your own problem by not making a simple change in your program's options. Changes in the Outlook preferences can be made either Globally or by the Recipient.
Follow these steps in Outlook 2007 to turn off TNEF:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Mail Format tab.
3. In the Compose in this message format box, click Plain Text or HTML, and then click OK.
Don't know of a better way to fix this problem for everyone concerned. Even if you get the fix to work with your machine, you will not enable all of the people receiving your emails to be able to work with you. That's a losing battle that's been caused by Microsoft.
Now if Microsoft created a Mail plugin for other email programs like they do for their video format's and services (flip4mac, Office Live Plugin, etc), then I would consider using their email program to deal with my clients. Until then, I need to be compatible with many different programs in other countries, on different platforms. Maybe that's going to change when they bring out the new Office 2011 with Outlook for the Mac...

Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.

3. Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
1. Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
2. Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using theMicrosoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.

You don't need to delete anything, just launch it. Can you explain how you launched it, and what happened? It turns out that a lot of people misunderstand the word launch, so we need to ask.

You're probably on OS X Lion?
I had the same problem as you. I used Software Update to update Logic Express to the latest version, and then it ran without any problems.

I believe you need to go into System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement so the image you want appears on the projector.

My mac mini wont shut down when i try it does restard instead and said it has recovery from a problem. How can i sort this out?

My shared files are all set as read only. How do I sort this out?

I am trying to set up our iMac and MacBook so that they share files.
In System Preferences/Sharing I have set the File sharing to ON, I have selected which folders are to be shared and I have set it so that everyone can read and write the files.
In the iMac files when you check various properties NONE are set as read only, however, when the files are access from the MacBook they are all READ ONLY.
What am I doing wrong and how do I sort this out so that I can access files from either computer and amend and save them without having to change file names?

I have had similar problems and have given up trying to use the "everyone" user setting. Instead, to give shared access to a folder I add specific users and then set their access level. To add users to a folders sharing profile click on the [+] button at the bottom of the Users column.

When i sync my ipod, i have notice that not all the music syncs and when i click on the ipod tab, some of the music has a round/two arrows?! How can i sort this out?!

When i sync my ipod, i have noticed on the left hand side, under devices, my ipod, when i click on music, some of the songs are grey, and the others are black. The ones which are grey have a round circle with two arrows in. These are the ones which havent copied onto my ipod. I had no problem before until recently and all of a sudden! Can anyone please help me sort this out so that all my music will transfer onto my ipod, i have been trying for over a week!

Never mind, the problem just fixed itself when i searched for an artist that wasn't there. That was odd.
