If you update using iTunes, the full iOS is downloaded. If you update directly on your phone, this is called a "Delta" update, & only the changes to the iOS are downloaded. That's why you see the difference you see.

It sounds like your iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to not copy photos during import, i.e. a Referenced library:
Check your Advanced preferences to see if that's the case. If it is the best solution would be to select the checkbox to copy the photos and reimport the photos from the flash drive. Then check the new import. It it was OK you can delete the previous event with the "missing" photos.

You need to update to iTunes 10.x. However, to do that you need to ugrade your computer's OS to at least 10,5,8. That is a paid upgrade.

My ipad 3 has suddenly started draining battery in only a few hours. Even if not in use. Might this be because a programme is running in he background? I recently downloaded Dropbox. Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight. Admittedly the labeling is hard to read but, if you use a magnifier and squint your eyes, you'll see "Output 5.1V, 2.1A." The symbol between volts and amps is the symbol for DC. Do NOT use an iPhone charger. Do NOT use an iPod charger. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.

When I put my mouse over the firefox icon in the lower tray it shows small pictures of the home page but when i click on these they will not open to a full page. I am using windows 7. This problem just started today. I can use internet explorer without a problem. Thanks for any assistance you can give. I contact HP and they said to contact your support as they only support internet explorer.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now. -
I have a Kodak printer hero 5.1, it prints or scans 2 or 3 jobs then loses comms with mac although wifi light is still on. I have tried to remove printer by deleting in preferences but when i try to go to printer folder " no such folder " message appears. Any advice appreciated.
Log in to the Developer forum. You will find instructions on how to install the lastest beta. Your problem is the beta you have installed has expired. All of them did on October 5; you will find hundreds of threads discussing this. If you have a beta it is assumed that you will continue as a beta tester, so a simple update using iTunes will not work.
If you no longer want to be a beta tester install the GM 7.0.2 by restoring from iTunes using DFU mode. -
Having just set up my Ipod Touch with my email account (pop3) the mail icon on it shows a 1 for new message. However when I click on the Mail icon it brings up a page for NEW ACCOUNT not any inbox. Can anyone help?
You might want to try removing they email account and setting it back up again

Ever since I updated my iPad mini to iOS 7 the game crashes every time I open it! Although it goes alright on my 4s. Recently I purchased need for speed most wanted adze by fire monkeys and guess what that crashes at the start too? The iPad is no where near capacity I don't understand has any1 else had this prob and if so how did they fix it?
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Has the phone ever been jailbroken or hacked in any way? Has the computer you are using ever been used to hack any iPhone, or downgrade one with a utility such as tinyumbrella? If so the hosts file on your computer is corrupted, and you will have to fix that.
This problem has also been reported by people who tried to install a bootleg copy of iOS 5. Could this be your problem?
If none of these apply your security software may be blocking access to Apple's activation servers. Try disabling it or using a different computer. And you can always take it to an Apple store if convenient and they will restore it for you or fix it if it's broken. -
My App icon shows that I have one upgrade. When I try to update this app, to my iphoto, it tells me that I have updates available for other accounts and in order to update this application I need to sign in to the account used to purchased it....I only have one account, so I don't know how to update this, it just stays on my desktop showing that I have 1 update on my App icon...
Are you sure that these Apps were not purchased using another Apple ID...
If so, and you only have one ID, then Contact Customer Service...

Large white or black squares while editing
I've been using CS5.1 for quite awhile with no problems. Suddenly, when I attempt to edit a photo, large areas are either white or black squares or oblongs. I don't know what to do to fix this issue. Would reinstalling help? TIA
