Apple is required to block Facetime in the hardware of all iPhones (and iPads and iPod touches) sold in the UAE. There is no way you can activate it, no matter what country you're in. If you want Facetime, you will have to sell your UAE-model iPhone and buy another one in another country (not including the KSA which has the same ban).

Google map in iPhone 5 NOT working

I've tried repeatedly and took my new iPhone 5 to ask Apple Store's Genius but I am getting no where. When I launch the new Google Map icon on my iPhone 5, it by default shows the mobile version and I clicked the "Directions" icon and input two addresses. I then click the arrow button which is supposed to start searching the distance between the two addresses and also directions of how to get from A to B. But no matter how many times I press the arrow button, nothing moves - same screen.
I then scrolled to the bottom and click "Classic", again nothing happens - same screen. I have to do it 10 to 20 times and by chance, I probably can access the Classic view once.
I then go to the iPhone internet browser and enter the google map address http://maps.google.com/#bmb=1 and again I was directed back to the mobile version and then I scrolled down and selected Classic and it was merry go round and I was going no where! The problem certainly does not lie in the Google webpage because when I access the same URL on a PC, I can search directions from A to B within less than a second. Everything is super smooth. I believe Apple has done something in their iPhone browser to make it difficult if not impossible to access Google maps in order to "force" users to use the Apple Map App.
Can anyone help?

Mapping using substing is not working after upgrade to PI SP13

Hi all,
In XI SP 14 we had a mapping that used a lot of substing commands to switch around a data time stamp. It basically said, if the node was not blank(its is being passed as blank on occasion instead of null) then run all the substing commands to move the date and time around. Now in PI SP13 it is still trying to run the substing mappings for the records with blank values coming in, even though the IF statment acknowledges that it should be suppressed. This is causing a java exception for the command since the field is not long enough for the substing. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Before the If condition just try to add the API SplitByVlaue or maybe concat the field with balnk spaces.
If you could give the exact details of the applied condition then it will be easy to give you the proper way that could achieve with mapping.
Its surprising that if the same mapping is working out for old SP and now its creating problem for the PI SP13.

HT4623 iPhone 4 not working after iOS 6.0.1 update

I have just updated my phone to iOS 6.0.1, however after the phone updated, it no longer switches on and I just have a grey screen. When I try and plug the phone into iTunes, it does not recognise anything. Is this likely to be a problem due to the updating iOS6.0.1 or has something else liekly to have broken on the phone and it's just pure coincidence that it happened when I did the update?

I would try a restore in itunes then set up as new iphone (dont use restore from back up) pain I know but it can do the trick.
Still no luck Apple Store get them to sort it or New Phone Please!

I am trying to update my IPad 2 to the new iOS 6. . .but when I check ofr updates, I get an error message "Unable to check for update - An error occurred while chekcing for a sofware update" .
I have powered off and tried again . . .but it still cannot . My Wifi is fine - and the IPad is plugged in.
Are other people having these issues.
I tried to log onto Apple support and got an DNS error message. . .

After updating my ipad 3 the data card has stopped working. This happened before. With the last update, But this time I can't seem to fix it

Anyone having trouble with App Store install and cloud store buttons not working after 6.1 update? I go to install an app. I hit install and nothing happens. About a minute later it asks me for my password and then it does nothing. The install button goes back to saying install. However the app shows up in my installed list and in cloud but no app installed.

OK - I found a helpful post - closed app store app and under Settings/General/Date and Time I reset the date and time by switching off "Set Automatically" and then switching it on again. Went back to App Store, launched it and Updatesseems to be working again.
Go figure? Logical, No!

XSLT Mapping with Java class not working in Integration Repository

I have an XSLT mapping program with Java enhancement and I was able to successfully tested it in Stylus Studio. However, when I imported the Java class and the xslt program in Enterprise Service Builder and tested it, my program does not compile.
Here is the error message: "Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT mapping_temp.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet".
My java program is in a zip file containing SOAPHeaderHandler.java and SOAPHeaderhandler.class. My Java has a package com.nga.xslt.
Here is the declaration of my Java class in the XSLT: xmlns:javamap="java:com.nga.xslt.SOAPHeaderHandler"
It seems that it could not read the java class. Can you please advice what is wrong?

select XMLTOOLKIT option in Operation mapping and execute it.
I am not sure we can call java program in XSLT Program,but alternative is copy the code and use it in XSLT mapping it self,that means your XSLT program will become with JAVA extensions.
then in Operation mapping level select SAPXMLTOOL kit option and execute it. i hope it will work. if it is not working then you have deploy some JAXP files on server,because the way execution of XSLT Mpaping program got changed,like when eve you executing XSLT with extnasions( if you are not using XMLTOOL kit option) then you have to use latest version of JAXP.JDK files.

Copy & Paste into Google Maps no longer works after 4.2 update

Anyone else seem to be getting this problem? Copy and paste into Google maps was extremely useful. Now this doesn't seem to work for me after updating to 4.2.

1. Copy something into the clipboard (doesn't matter what it is)
2. Open Google maps
3. Try to paste into the search bar. You don't get the paste option.
4. Try to type something into the search bar then attempt to copy what you just typed. No options appear to copy what was just typed in.
This used to work prior to the 4.2 update. Very useful when receiving incomplete addresses via text message or from a web page.

Maps Directions not working after upgrading to iOS 5

So I upgraded to iOS5 and now two things happened:
It now uses the Chinese version of Google, instead of the international English that I had before. So now I can only see the Chinese street names in Shanghai, instead of both Chinese and English names before.
The directions do NOT work now!! I tried emailing directions from the site maps.google.com, and they do show up on iPhone Maps. I can even calculate different type of directions (car, walking, public transit) on iPhone of the emailed directions. It just doesn't work with directions created on the iPhone itself.
I hope somebody can help me with these two problems.

Right my problem is, I cannot use check-in feature on my N8, I keep getting the following error message come up..

Hi, Are you using the internet to connect with your maps? or are you browsing offline? Im guessing the issue could be with the way the application uses the web. you could try checking in your options menu in the maps application and see what APN is selected. For example if you have your home WI-FI set as default then you will get that kind of message coming up. Check to see if you can connect to the web at all, just through the browser. failing all these check how old your sim card is. i hope some of these suggestions help.
