Your phone is in recovery mode. Did you plug it to the computer running itunes? What happend?

I would remove iTunes and all its components completely, reinstall, and try again. Try on another computer if you can also.

Thanks for the question. If you haven't already done so, you may want to update iTunes to v11.1 (released on Sept 18th). After updating iTunes, you can then update your iPhone 5 to iOS 7.

Cannot update/backup iphone because iphone disconnected
I have seen this question asked many times and no one seems to know the way to fix it or why it randomly starts happening.
I cannot sync my wife's iPhone. I continue to get the "cannot update/backup iphone because iphone disconnected."
I have switched usb ports, gotten a new cable, cleaned the connections, but nothing works. Is there anything short of wiping the phone and starting over? I am on iOS 4.3.3 and iTunes 10.4.1 (10).
Wife has already started from scratch once, I would like to avoid that again.And I said that problems can happen to any phone. I was just saying that the OP was from 3 years ago, and you responded to them. A generic answer would show that your response is what to do with a Mac computer, since the info that you posted does not apply to a Windows computer. Again, thanks for joining, my comment was just the understanding of your post as well.

I can't update software because a message appears that I have to log with the same Apple ID that was used to purchase them: iMovie, Garage Band, iPhoto, but those apps came with OSX Lion.

I created an Apple ID on my iPhone, but I can not download any application because a message appears saying that iTunes store can not login. The strange thing is that my Apple ID works perfectly when I try to access my icloud browser on my iMac and even I join this forum. I login with my ID system icloud without problems! Why can not I download applications? What relationship has between iTunes store and iCloud?
You cannot download the same Apps that you have on your iPhone. They are two seperate stores.
The store you have on your iPhone is the same for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone and iPod)
The store on your MacBook is only for Macs. -

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:

Trying to back up my phone before I upgrade the software to the IO7..... When I try to manually back up now to ITunes, I get the message "ITunes can not back up IPhone because an error has occured". I have rebooted the phone and computer. Any advise?
Close iTunes & navigate to:
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
and delete everything in that Backup folder, but not the folder itself. -
I have the latest operating system, but can't get my printers added. Why does the software update say that drivers for my printers are not available? I have the drivers installed from the CD but can't add the printer because it wants to go through software update.
It's pretty difficult to offer suggestions when you say nothing about your Mac, the version of Mac OS it's running, or the models of printers you have. i once had an iphone 4s and activate it using a wifi settings and it works... but now it wont...how come???You can't. It requires a SIM to activate. There is no way around it. The SIM does not have to be tied to active service, but it must be present and it must be from the correct carrier if the phone is carrier locked.
