HT4623 i cant download any apps as it says i need ios 5 or above so i go to setting generall and then go to look for update and its not there what do i do now
i have got my brothers ipod on my itunes account, he is wanting to down load apps but its not letting him as it is saying he needs to hav IOS 5 or above. so i have followed steps settings, general, update. but when i get to the update bit there isnt an option to update, now i dont know what to do
You can not update directly from your iPod Touch until iOS 5 or later.
What generation iPod Touch do you have?
Here are the most current iOS for each generation of iPod Touch:
1st Gen iPod Touch - iOS 3.1.3
2nd Gen iPod Touch - iOS 4.2.1
3rd Gen iPod Touch - iOS 5.1.1
4th & 5th Gen iPod Touch - iOS 6.1.3

Did you ever get this fixed? I started getting this same message yesterday when changing my card to a debit card that I had used previosuly for years. My last purchase was Saturday morning. Your iPod2G can only run iOS 4.2.1, looks like all updated apps don't support 4.2 anymore.

On my new ipad 2, i cant download any app, each time i enter my App Id , it takes me where i have to enter 3 security info, then once finished it says " your session timed out, try again " !!!!
Call apple.This happened to me in August when i bought mine. They will reset the 3 passwords.

I have good wifi connection, but cant download any app from app store

I downloaded the IOS7 and I recently started seeing that every tim I revived a message everyone would be able to see it, I tired looking for the I'm not sure what to call it in messages, where no one can read my messages unless I open my phone. Any help? I really don't want anyone ready what I get from other people, its emrassing, when I get a text from someone and it's personal, and someone could go look at my phone while its charging and read the message. You may benefit from disabling Show on Lock Screen for Messages and Mail in Settings -> Notification Center -> Mail/Messages.
You can disable Show on Lock Screen for a particular app in Settings > Notification Center > <app name>.

A few days everything was working normally and I dont understand what is the problem.Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -

Based on the numerous posts regarding iTunes and the App Store, there appears to be an issue at Apple's end. Although Apple has not provided any indication on the cloud status page.
