HT4623 i had my iphone 4 plugged into the computer charging and now it shut off and wont turn on?
My phone was charging in the computer shut itself off and now it will not turn on any help would be appreciated.
Try a reset: hold the on/off switch and the home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, often around 30 seconds.

How come whenever i plug my iPhone 5 into the computer the device will not show up on my itunes. This is the first time that i have done it since i updated to iOS7 and before i had no problem but now it just wont work.

I have a Iphone 4 gsm (8f190) and it will not connect to itunes and when i put it in recovery itunes will not work. It won't show up when plugged into the computer. Only charges when plugged in the wall or a car charger. I've tried everything imaginable but I can't get the phone to register in iTunes at all.. The phone won't even reset.. when i try and reset EVERYTHING on the phone the apple logo with the progress bar starts to come up but the progress never moves.. PLEASE help me.. I'm at my wits end with this phone and I'm ready to just trash it.

Nonsense, and very misleading advice. I've updated iPhone 3G, 3Gs,and 4 through itunes many times, never had a problem once, not with one single update in nearly 5 years of iPhones. I plugged in USB and held the on/off switch and home button for 20seconds and the "Connect to Itunes" came on the screen. I then opened up Itunes and it directed me to restore. -

Dude you have a jailbroken phone as stated in your first post, no need to do a second post.

I was an apple beta tester for iOS7 and now my iPhone 5 shut down, it's unresponsive it gets recognized by iTunes when plugged into the computer but that's it. Since I was a beta tester is there any way to fix my iPhone??
Are you still running iOS 7 bet?. If so go to the private developer section for help. We cannot help you here with beta software.

I had about 6000 pictures on my phone, then said "updating library" was not plugged into the computer, was at dinner trying to pull a picture up. After finished updating i only had 597 photos that were totally random, not in order...help?!
hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

My iphone is neither shown in itunes nor in redsnow .. what is the problem ? It has the black screen and the sound plays when it is plugged into the computer .. When my phone is not plugged into the charger or computer, it will not turn on at all; even though it is not dead. When it's plugged into the computer, it will go to a white screen with a grey apple icon and then it will turn off again and repeat. IOS7 and iPhone 5.

Try this step and if you cannot get your device into recovery mode there is a chance you have a hardware failure and you need to call apple to see what service options you have.
