What do I do when I am trying to download a program I purchased and it does not download the software?

I have the serial number from Lightroom that I purchased from Best Buy. When I put it in, and activate it, it says to click on the download button. It only downloads the arvato bertelsmann logo and it does not download the software. I already installed on a lap top, this is my desktop that I am trying to install on. I want to install the latest version of i tunes. I recieve an error that the MSI file is missing. It won't load the new version and I can not delete the software either. HELP!

I have a windows computer running xp. I can not load the latest version of I tunes. I receive an error message that the 'msi" file can not be found. I can not delete I tunes for the same reason.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

My guess is you have a very old version of iTunes on your Mac.
Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes on your mac to download a more recent copy.
Depending on how old your Mac is and how old its OS X is, you may not get too current an iTunes version. The latest is 11.0.4.

That only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases - you may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

The hardware on the 2G does not support an iOS version higher than 4.2.1. If you want apps that require a higher version you will need to get a newer model iPod.
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Vintapps 3.1.3 - paid app.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
