I am unable to search for new apps because I have a blank white square in the middle of the Apps screen.

Have you tried a reset (different from just restarting)
Hold down on both the Home button AND the Sleep/Wake button for about 10 seconds until you get to the black screen and see the Apple logo. Then let go of both buttons. This "reset" fixes a lot of weird iPad issues and might fix yours.

Not other than parental oversight. On the computer you can implement Parental Controls on a separate user account that they would use. You can then block certain websites. But you cannot do that on the iPad.
You could change your iTunes account such that they cannot access it in order to buy or download apps.

I'm sorry that your file didn't convert as expected. Please try the conversion from within Reader, and disable OCR by following the instructions in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel. Disabling OCR can solve some conversion issues (but note that if your original PDF contains images with text, that text won't be selectable/searchable) in Word.

Try to reset the device:
*Device reset*
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

HT4623 I have clicked agree to all the terms (about 8,000 times) and the update won't move forward. What do I need to do to move forward and complete the update?

Add the credit card to verify your identity and then go back and select none to remove the credit card from your account.

Reflection Themes have big white box in the background

Rookie iDVD user here, and haven't been able to solve this one.
Trying to use the 6.0 theme "Reflection Black" and it is sticking a big white square in the middle of the screen. It is behind the drop zones and I cannot figure out why it is there or how to get rid of it. It gets added to submenu screens as well. Sometimes if I start over it goes away temporarily but eventually jumps in there.
I am seeing other oddness when switching between other themes as well, but this white box is the one I'm chiefly concerned with. Anyone else seen this? Is there a clean way to trash the non-7.0 themes and then reinstall them? Thanks.

Mac mini Server 10.6 unable to search for files on the server from desktop.

I'm running Mac mini Server 10.6 with 15 various Apple Mac desktops 10.4 / 10.6. The problem i'm having is that i'm unable to search for files on the server from any of the desktops. I have fixed permissions and rebooted. I can perfomr a search though command - F and spotlight from the server.
Anyone have any ideas?

Why does the cursor have a white square beside it?

I use adobe professional to edit powerpoint slideshows that have been converted to pdfs. On certain slides some strange things happen. The cursor appears with a tiny white square to the right side of it, I cannot click on images, using the edit text and images function, and I can start a text box, but the text that I type is invisible. The application also often crashes on these slides (though I find Adobe Pro to crash ridiculously often anyway). I tried to take a screenshot but the cursor wouldn't show up.
I would like to figure out how to make these pages editable so that I can make notes on them.

I tried converting a pptx file to pdf and when I try to edit I am unable to view any such square box.
What version of PowerPoint and Acrobat are you using? Have you tried updating Acrobat to the latest patch and checked?
Is the issue replicable on other files as well or specific to this file?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

White Square in the menu bar (Not a hardware issue)

I have a Macbook Pro 13" with Retina display (late 2012), and I recently updated Mac OS to Yosemite.
After updating, I have noticed that there is a white square in my menu bar and I do not know how to fix it, I can tell that it isn't a dead pixel as I can zoom into it and it will not remain in the same place, it will zoom in normally as if it is 'stuck' on the screen, I will add some screenshots to explain my issue:
As you can see here, there is a white square in the menu bar near the centre of the screen at the top.
When I zoom in, it moves to suit, and if I place my cursor over the white square, then it disappears as if it is a layer below the cursor, below shows how it doesn't stay in the top of the screen when I zoom in:
