If a page you go to opens in a new tab, there is no 'back' to go to. If that is the case, just close the tab and you'll be at the page you came from.

The text on my iMac, MacBook Pro and iPad are light grey and difficult to read
I have the latest upgrades of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on my iMac, MacBook Pro and iPad Air 2. To my dismay, the text on all three computers is light grey and difficult to read. I tried to increase the contrast and also reduce the transparency, but to no avail. It is still difficult to read the text. What do I do?
Send feedback to Apple about their poor design choices. That's all I can think of, since this is the new, modern, minimalist, gray, and drab crapola Apple's foisting on computer users.

I have recently updated my phone's version to the 6.1 version and it completed to programing but once the phone turned off and back on and i set up
1. The language to, english
2. Country and Region to, U.S.
3. tells me to choose a network which i already did to continue my activation,
But the ploblem continues after that,
Right now it sais ACTIVATING PHONE.........
But then it takes a few minutes and it tells me this message.........
YOUR IPHONE COULD NOT BE ACTIVATED BECAUSE THE ACTIVATION SERVER IS TEMPORARY UNAVAILABLE. TRY CONNECTING YOUR IPHONE TO ITUNES TO ACTIVATE IT. <----- (hOW dO I DO THAT?) OR TRY AGAIN IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES.
iF PROBLEM PERSIST, CONTACT SUPPORT AT APPLE.COM/SUPPORT.
What can i do to finish my phone's programing?It's probably because the phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it. The update has bricked it.

I am having trouble deleting messages from my phone (5C) I have followed the intructions on the support site but no luck.
I cannot swipe left to right to delete message neither can I delete after pressing the edit pad, nothing happens.

You will have to close firefox.exe with the Windows Task Manager from the "Processes" tab of the WTM since you don't have a widow to close.
The best way to close Firefox is through File > Exit, for those who stuck with the "Firefox" button click on the Firefox button then Exit. It is not perfect but it is a lot better than just closing the window with the "X" in the upper right corner -
i keep getting popup to upgrade safari or firefox when i go to get my yahoo mail..everytime, i have to click on no thanks and continue...
when i click on safari upgrade, nothing happens and I dont use firefox..
how do i stop getting that whole page everytime i go for mail?From your Apple menu drop down menu click Software Update.
Or open System Preferences then select Software Update > Check Now

Wanting to use Photoshop CS6 to open images directly from iPhoto 11.
Using OSX10.8.2 and iPhoto 11. Just installed Photoshop CS6 and want to open
images directly from iPhoto. Before I installed PS I was not able to edit photos
in iPhoto 11. Nothing happens when I click on ‘edit‘ it is blank.
And now it will not work using Photoshop CS6 either.
From Help Center I have gone to iPhoto/Preferences/ Advanced and chosen Photoshop CS6 to Edit Photos but then cannot find an 'Open' to click? Perhaps this is the problem?
When I select a photo in iPhoto and click the Edit button - nothing happens.

Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

Nothing happens when connect iTouch to mac - is the cable already dead?
Last week when I connected my (4 week old) touch to the right-side usb port, nothing happened, but then it connected fine to the left-sided port; bit funny I thought, but got on with my syncing etc. Today, nothing happens when I connect on either side. Do I have a problem with the USB cable?
Thanks in advance for any help...Macs can get USB errors just like any other computer. Try restarting or shutting down and restarting and then try syncing again.

I have 2 hardisk,so i want to set two scratch disk but i doesnt work
i have 500g and another 160g hardisk.
such as i set up scratch disk in d: drive in 500g hardisk and f: driver in 160g hardisk
but i have found photoshop just use d: driver as scratch disk ,and never use f: driver.
why?Okay! So you want to RAID your Scratch Disks! I've not tried that, and I don't know how Photoshop would handle a RAID Scratch Disk; I'm afraid someone smarter than me will have to visit the thread.
But even it were possible, both disks would have to be the the same size/capacity, speed, and cache; you can't RAID different sized disks like the ones you have, so you'd either have to have 2x 500GB, or 2x 160GB drives to start with, plus a dedicated RAID card to do the processing for you, you wouldn't want your CPU to be handling that load as well as everything else, the drives would also need to be internal as well, not an external RAID enclosure, where the I/O port becomes a bottleneck.
If you can, change the name of your question, "I have 2 hardisk, so I want to set two scratch disk but it doesn't work," to something like, "Need to RAID Photoshop Scratch Disks!" and hopefully someone who knows a LOT more about Photoshop and RAID than me will be able to give you an answer.
Also, please give as much information about your system as possible, what Operating System are you running, is it 32 or 64 Bit, Processor type and speed, installed RAM, Motherboard (some support RAID natively) etc.

If your Mac Model supports POWERNAP under Mountain Lion, yes backups and software updates can occur while the mac is taking a power nap (kind of light sleep).

My husband and I have upgraded our phones (iPhone 4s and iPhone 5) to the iPhone 5s. We have given 2 of our kids the "old" phones and want to set them up as an iPod touch. Both kids have email and need to be able to text (iMessage).
I have read multiple posts on how to do this and I am still confused.
Apple ID/ICoud:
We want to be able to monitor what they do, but do not want their devices linked to our emails/contacts/etc... Each kid has their own email account. So, from what I have read the best way to do this is to use our family Apple ID, but set them up with a separate iCloud account? Is this correct?
Reset/Restore/DFU:
To start fresh we have done multiple factory resets. I did one that someone said was a DFU and a plan ol' factory reset, etc... Not sure the difference. However, when I do that I get the "hello" screen and am able to start setting the phone up anew. However, when I go to set the phone up as an iPod I end with the same result.
So, here is what I am doing (tell me what I am doing wrong):
Hello Screen
Asks me to select language and selecting: English
Select Your Country or Region: United States
Choose a Wi-Fi Network: select my home wi-fi network
Enter password: entered my home wi-fi network password
Activiate iPhone - wants me to enter Apple ID and Passwordsays that this iphone is currently linked to an Apple ID (k*******@gmail.com). Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPhone.
Location Services - I have enabled location services
Set Up iPhone
Set Up as New iPhone
Apple ID
Options are to sign in with your Apple ID or Create a Free Apple ID
Or I could "skip this step"
I signed in with my Apple ID
Terms and Conditions - Agree
iCloud - I can select either to use iCloud or Don't Use iCloud - I selected use iCloud
Find My iPhone - I can select either to use find my iPhone or to not - I selected use find my iphone
Once I do this it says iMessage and FaceTime and shows the following:
my email
my other child's cell phone number
and my husband's work phone number
This is where things do not make sense. I only want the phone set up with the current child's email address. Where did I go wrong?There are a number of Apple services: iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, Game center, Find My iPad, etc.
Now, to share apps, music and books you need to have the same Apple ID:
iPad's Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID > Your purchasing Apple ID.
For the other service, your wife should have her own Apple ID.
All she needs is a valid e-mail address, apply Apple ID below:

I've bought a Digital AV Adapter to be able to connect my Iphone 4g to the TV. I only get sound but no picture when I look at TVPlay-canals. Photo gallery OK. I have updated my phone to the latest version IOS. Any solution?

Your phone doesn't do mirroring, only the 4S will do that. It only does basic AirPlay.
Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues). -
i have updated my phone with the new 6 IOS. Since doing this my icloud account keeps saying that verification failed and the certificate for service is invalid. Folowin this problem my phone also does not recognise my other iphone contacts so i cannot facetime or send imessage
You don't need an app. You need couple's counseling. I believe what you want to do may also be illegal in many jurisdictions.

I have updated my phone to iOS 8.2 and i m new to using iPhone. Whenever i am trying to open my iTunes store, its only showing me the option to open the iTunesU store. Can anyone help me with that?
Unfortunately Pakistan is one of those countries where media isn't available from iTunes - when that might change we won't know (we are fellow users on here) until if/when Apple announce something.
Are there other music purchase download sites available there ? Or you can copy your CDs via your computer's iTunes and sync them to your phone
