HT4623 I HVE VER 4.2.1and i have to update it. what should i do.
i have a version 4.2.1 and i have to update it . what should i do .
The 3G cannot be updated beyond 4.2.1. I am afraid if you want to run apps that demands a later version, you will have to buy a later model iPhone.

I am trying to download ios6 for my Ipad2.I was told to go to Settings and then software update.my problem is that there is no software update option ...what can I do now?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.

Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com
Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service. -
HT4623 If I have an iPad one and it doesn't show I can update it what should I do
If I have an iPad one and I have iOS 5.0.1 and it says I'm up to date what should I do
For an iPad 1, you are at the max iOS version. It's due to the processor and low amount of RAM.

I have an iPod but in general there is no software update section what should I do now
The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, if you have iOS 4 as your tagline suggests then can only update via your computer's iTunes, as described half-way down the page that you posted from.
Updating to iOS 5+ : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
If it's a second gen iPod Touch then it only supports up to iOS 4.2.1, third gen supports up to iOS 5.1.1, 4th gen iOS 6.1.5, and the 5th gen iOS 7.0.4
(For info you've posted in the Using iPad forum.) -
Please hlep me this qestion it dont show the Update ?
Doesn't show what update? Your product list shows your iPad is running iOS 6.1.3 which is the latest version currently available.

iOS: Troubleshooting update and restore issues
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
Follow these steps if you receive an error or alert message when attempting to update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes.
Using these steps, you can resolve most restore errors on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Verify that your computer operating system is up to date. If an update requires a restart, check for updates again after restarting.
On a Mac: In the Apple () menu, choose Software Update. Install all available updates.
On a Windows PC: Go to the Microsoft Windows Update page.
Check your security software: Note: Most restore issues are caused by out-of-date or incorrectly configured security software, firewalls, and network router settings or firmware.
Isolate the issue to third-party software.
Update security software.
Properly configure your security software.
Temporarily disable or uninstall your security software.
Temporarily remove any unnecessary USB devices, leaving only your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, the USB cable that came with your device, and a keyboard and mouse, if necessary.
Restart your computer and try again.
Hope this helps ...

No.
Looks like yours could be a 2nd Gen... If so... iOS 4,2,1 is as far as it can go
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3382586?start=0&tstart=0
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
If an Update Appears Install it...
if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...

What Raw camera files are supported by Aperture Ver 3.6. I have tried to file a list of compatible camera models, but as yet can't find one. My OS is OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. I have recently bought a Canon 7D MkII and have found Adobe Lightroom does not as yet support the 7D MkII. So I though Aperture may support the 7D MkII because Yosemite 10.10.1 now does.
Hi Folk,
I just found the answer to my question. Yes it is supported with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. See the link below and the ***** Note at the bottom of the list.

Help please: Combo Security Update 2008-004 Ver.1 and Safari 3.1.2 update
hi, same issues as everyone else after downloading Combo Security Update 2008-004 Ver.1 and Safari 3.1.2 update, just hanging on blue "loading mac osx", no password screen comes up. i did not have an error like some others when downloading except at the end when it said my startup memory was low, i closed that screen and tried to reboot. that's where i meet everyone else's problem.
I DO NOT HAVE A TIGER START-UP DISK. (i bought my mac a year ago on ebay and the software was installed.
i need help from beginning to end because i am not very mac saavy. thank you. ~lauraThe next step would be using the Install Disk to either change the Passwords, or do an Archive & Install if you had enough free space, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc...

"OK, restart your computer, hold down Command-s and type in the following:
/sbin/fsck -y Enter
/sbin/mount -uaw Enter
rm /var/db/.applesetupdone Enter
1. The rm command is the remove command which deletes the file.
2. Robert: I'd rename the file via: mv /var/db/.applesetupdone /var/db/.applesetupdone.old
reboot Enter
Once you've done that the computer reboots and it's like the first time you used the machine. Your old accounts are all safe. From there you just change all other account passwords in the account preferences!!

If we ever get it booted, we just Must Trash/move some files and empty the Trash! -
I have an iPad 3.2 Model MB292X and it doesn't have "Software Updates" section under General Settings. How do I update my ios settings? Help!
The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

Also read the instructions from the section entitled "Update your device using iTunes" at the link below.

Hi, How can you start an application which needs j2se 1.3* over https? I know, distributing signed Software over https isn't very useful, but it's the only way we can distribute it. I assume that JWS validates codebase and j2se version by it self so
