HT5682 April 22, just installed the latest update to fix the Java problem, it does not work.
About a week ago I installed a MAC update. I discovered that I was unable to play POGO games. I know that is not up there with all other uses of MAC... let's get back on track here. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and reset preferences at least 6 times to get JAVA back.

My Intel MAC circa 2009, is running MAC OS X Lion 10.7.5 Safari 6.0.4
Today I received another update from Apple stating it would provide the answer to POGO 6 and you can select certain sites that can be accessed.
This also was a FAIL!
I now know the steps, can access TERMINAL without shaking, have learned to use GO to access UTILITIES. I still end up with JAVA not recognizing that their software has a place in my heart and I truly hope on my computer soon.
I have been playing a horrible game of Solitaire on another site.
Are there others out there with this problem or is it just me? Can anyone suggest anything else?Thank you BDAua. This is what I typed and the reply from Terminal

i bought my macbook pro 13" and i installed win(7 64bit) and the dvd of bootcamp came with my notebook and i installed it sucessfully but now i want to install win 8(64 bit) and i did but unfortunatley that dvd of bootcamp didnt work what should i do to install my bootcamp and apple software in win 8

Boot Camp does not come on DVD, what did you install. -
I have just tried to install the ios7 update that fixes the initial bugs in ios7 and it wouldn't complete the install - an error occurred. now my phone is frozen and inoperable. what do i need to do to fix?

My Iphone 4s just stopped during the latest update and now the screen show the Apple icon and an white bar beneath. I can no longer get anything to work on the phone!! Where to from here??
You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

On my ipod touch, i can't seem to get the imessage app.. I have updated my itunes and even restored the ipod to factory settings with the latest update. Maybe the ipod is too old? Is that even a thing? Is there another app I can download to have access to my contacts with imessage?
That comes with iOS 5 (Settings>General>About>Version) and only the 3G abd later iPods can go to iOS 5 or later

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Get an external hard drive on which to store some of your files after which you can
erase the data from your internal drive to free up space.
5. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
6. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
7. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located. -
My AppleTV (2nd gen) crashed last night with the latest update and now all I have a flashing light. What to do? It showed a USB symbol point toward an iTunes symbol and won't reset after resetting with the remote. Same thing.
usb symbol pointing toward an itunes symbol is apples way of trying to get you to connect the appletv to your computer running itunes so it can restore the apple tv's software

We moved from Blackberry to iPhone for 120 services in 2010. We have just renewed the iPhone fleet. Security was the issue for the business that employs me (lawyers). When comparing the two, Blackberry performed without issue most of the time but we experienced a number of issues with the trackballs on individual phones. This was, however, the first of the Blackberry Bold models. The expense behind the scenes was one of the major factors for the move. It was cheaper to run Exchange and iPhones than Blackberry services. Our lawyers on the whole adopted the iPhones and a number have become quite proficient at using them. We ensured that we had a means to securely wipe and lock business phones. We chose Mobile Iron for this purpose but you will find other products to do the same job. Cost is probably going to be the deciding factor here. Our only negative factor was butterfingers resulting in smashed glass with the iPhones although I have had one user drown several phones. -
