I just got the iPhone 5. When I connect it to itunes it says I need itunes 10.7. I downloaded that but it won't update because I need iOS 10.6.8. I downloaded iOS 10.6.8 but it says it won't download it becuase I need iOS 10.6. However, when I do software update it says all my systems are up to date and that 10.6 on itunes is the current version and iOS 10.5 is the current version. Please help.

Many thanksI would connect each device to a power source, and then reset them by holding the power button and the home button until they turn off.
If it keeps happening, I would put the devices in recovery mode and restore them with iTunes.

Need some help! My iPhone 4 cannot play music through it's built in speaker, only with headphones. I also cannot adjust volume, it only shows "ringer". I really do not know when it starts. I already clean the jack and dock,reset it and still cannot be fixed. I updated it to IOS 7.1.1 recently only, does it have connection with the inconvenience I am experiencing right now? Just upgraded IOS to V7 and iphone is asking for a password and the online password will not work. I really need to get this sorted as I am away and need to get the phone working.

No. If you failed to turn off Find my iPhone BEFORE you upgraded to iOS 7, you will need the original Apple ID and password. If you upgraded to iOS 7 you will need this info; there is no way around this. If it is the device passcode you will need to restore your iPhone in order to reset that, which in the end will require your Apple ID and password in order to activate the phone once it is restored.
Why don't you have the original Apple ID? Where did you get the phone? -
My sister has given me an old iPod touch 2 I think it is and after resetting the account info to mine the content was wiped and can not load any games now as it runs 3.1.3 and there all saying they need iOS 5 how can I update it to this
I suspect you have the original, 1G iPod touch. Those can only go as high as iOS 3.1.3,
If y ohave a 2G those can go as high as 4.2.1
Identifying iPod models
To update
The Settings>General>Software Update comes with iOS 5 and later.
Connect the iPod to your computer and update via iTunes as far as your iPod model allows

A 2G to 4.2.1. Requires iTunes version 10.X. If a Mac it requires OSX 10.5.8 or later.
To more easily find compatible apps:

You got it downloaded and I assume you mean it is installed as well. It was buggy for me.
I had to close and restarted iTunes before I could use it properly.
Then, I had to unplug and replug in my phone before it recognises it.
Just had to try everything. As final choice, update over the air. I try to avoid it as it tends to have more problems than a tethered update. -
