HT4623 I need to know my security question answers

Idk what it is

How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com and log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'.
This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work...
Go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

  • HT5312 i need to know my security question answers

i need to know the answers to my security questions so that i can rent/buy movies.    thanks

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can assist with recovering lost answers.

  • I tried buying an album off the iTunes Store but I didn't know the security question answers. It disabled my account from buying for 8 hours but I want the album by tonight! Help please?!?!

I tried buying an album off of the iTunes Store but I didn't know the security question answers. I reached the limit for the amount of answers and now it disabled my account from buying for 8 hours but I want the album by tonight! Can anyone help?!

If you've disabled your account for 8 hours then you will need to wait until the 8 hours have completed.
When the 8 hours are up, then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then you should get a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps on this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620

  • I forgot my security questions and i don't have a rescue email and in order to make a rescue email you need to know your security questions..... Is there anything I can do?

Is there any way to set up a rescue email if you don't know your security questions?

No. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • I need to know my security question

Need to know my security question

You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go tomanage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

  • I need to retrive my security question answers

I forgot my security question answers, and I no longer can purchase anything until I know the answers. The emailed hooked up to the request link I can no longer access. Is there anyway of changing the email and getting my security question answers.

It's important to know that the account security specialist you speak with will still need to verify your identity in order to reset your questions.
You'll need to be able to sign in to the effected Apple ID at appleid.apple.com and select 'password and security' from the shelf menu on the left, then check the lower left hand corner of the resulting page for a link that says 'generate temporary support PIN'. This PIN is required in order for your questions to be reset. The Advisor you speak with will also need to be able to gather one additional piece of information in order to verify your identity. If you're using Find My Device a code can be sent to a product signed in to the effected account in iCloud, otherwise the Advsior may ask you to attempt to answer your security questions or to provide information about the payment method associated with your account, if you have one.

  • HT1918 i need to recover my security question answers

i need to recover my security questions to my itunes account

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane  and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

    Hey neener64,
If you can't remember your security questions and answers, the optional rescue email provides a way to reset them. You can read more about that here:
Rescue email address and how to reset Apple ID security questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you did not provide a rescue email address, you can't reset your security questions and you'll need to contact iTunes Store support to have them reset.
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
    All the best,
    Delgadoh

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
    Good Luck friends!
