I put my IPhone 4 to update but now is lock and showing error 3194, anyone now what to do? please.
Same issue, I hope someone on here can figure this out and share the information. I was on the phone with apple for over 2 hours trying to fix. I guess I have to make another call on Monday!

I am currently using firefox v3.6.16, and running windows 7 ultimate. Under the help menu I keep seeing "downloading firefox 3.1.6.17" and when I click on that option a window comes up showing v3.6.17 downloading. You can try to clear the Flash local storage and settings if the problem is with the Flash plugin.

You said "reset," so Meg assumed that's what you did. But "reset" is not a button; to reset the phone you must hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. You may have to hold for up to 30 seconds, and if the battery was completely drained, you will have to restore iOS using iTunes on your computer.

My phone right now is locked .You apparently are using a version of OS X you did not purchase using your Apple ID. Although you can download Mavericks you cannot install it over your current system. You must repartition your hard drive, then reinstall the version of OS X originally installed when it came new from the factory. That would be on the installer discs that should have come with the computer. If the computer did not come with discs from the factory but OS X was pre-installed (Lion or Mountain Lion) then you can perform an Internet Recovery:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your external hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -

Hey! So I had the same thing happen. I went to my phone settings and restored it. It said no information or data would be lost. After I did that I plugged it into my laptop and it started to sync like it usually does.

Problem is my phone was given to me by a friend of mom's and he just gave me the phone I had to buy a new sim card. It has been working all right until now. Should I go buy a new sim card? Help!
Your phone is locked to a carrier. Only a SIM from that carrier can be used to activate the phone. Ask the "friend of your mom's" to which carrier the phone is locked. You'll then need to contact that carrier and see if you are eligible to have the phone unlocked. If not, the phone is useless to you.

I never set up a passcode for my iPad 2 but it is locked and I can't unlock it. The "slide to unlock" does not work. Any suggestions on how to unlock it?
You have to slide to unlock to bring up the keyboard if a passcode is set. If you can't slide then try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -

Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box under “Select user account”.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”. -

Sounds like you had the phone hacked to work on a network other than what the phone was originally locked to. When you updated the software on the phone it reverted back to the lock which makes your sim unusable.
