HT4623 i synced my new phone to all of my old phone pics and apps. how can i remove it
I accendtially sync my old informaiton onto my new Iphone5. All of rhw information from my new IPhone 5 is gone...Please help me to re-set it bakck
After erasing the data you didn't want there, restore the phone from the last backup you made of it before you accidentally overwrote it. If you did not back it up, then there is nothing to get back.

My iPhone, iPad and iPod are all associated with the same Apple ID. How can I remove the iPod and associate it with a new Apple ID without affecting the data on the other devices (note: there is no data on the iPod I want to keep)?
Very simple. Turn off Find my iDevice, then Tap Settings, General, Erase, Erase all content and settings.

My Iphone has family emails that appear randomly when I try to update apps or generally have to log into my account. It comes up as my sister in laws address. She was once connected to our account when she got her phone at first. How can I remove? There are only two other email address's associated with my account and hers was never one of them! I do have a cloud set up on my phone. I thought this issue had gone away when I canged my passwords, but I just registered a new phone yesterday and its happening again!
Can anyone help me?Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, and all future updates will require you to enter the password associated with this ID, whether you are currently using this ID for purchases or not. If you are being prompted for your sister-in-law's Apple ID when updating it means that there must be one or more apps on your phone that was purchased using her Apple ID. (When she synced with your computer it may have transferred this app to your library. It was subsequently synced to your phone.) The only way to stop the prompt for her ID is to delete these apps from your phone and your iTunes library and repurchase them using your Apple ID.

I was trying to make sure that all my Apple software was uninstalled, and I still can't remove C:\Program Files\iPod\. I went to the Task Manager and it is not listed in the Processes tab. What do I do now?
Are you looking for iPodService.exe?
Might be better to run services.msc from the run dialog and shut down the service polietly.

Hi Katrina - I hear what you are saying about the problems. I've been using a BB Pearl here in Canada since January and I had the same problems with PocketMac from the start. iCal dates getting strangely duplicated after syncing and contacts in AddressBook groups getting listed twice on the BB. The only solution I used was to have the Mac always override the BB when syncing. NOt perfect but for me it was the simplest way to ensure the consistency of the data and my own sanity.
If anyone has a better solution that actually allows a clean sync I'd love to hear it. -
I purchased an iPhone 3 and had taken some photos on it. I started having issues within 30 days and could replace it. So I created an iCloud account and saved those photos as a back up on iCloud. I did not restore my new phone from back up because I did not realize I needed to restore and not just activitate it. How can I save the new photos, apps, and other stuff but retrieve the old photos?
If all you want is your old photos, you could backup your new phone using iTunes, then restore it from your iCloud backup, import the old photos to your computer, then restore it from the backup your made in iTunes returning your newer data to your phone. If you want your old photos on your phone, sync them there from your computer using iTunes. The process would look like this:
Connect your phone to your computer, when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on it and select Transfer Purchases; right-click again and select Backup.
Disconnect from your computer and go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings to return it to new
Go through the activation setup, choosing to Restore from iCloud backup. Make sure your phone is plugged into a charger and has access to wi-fi as this can take hours to complete.
When complete, without connecting your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to Preferences. On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Now import the old photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083)
When done, open iTunes, right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose the backup you made in step 1.
Go to the Photos tab and select the photos you want to sync to your phone and sync. -
I am trying to sync an 32gb instead of my 8 gb anyone now how it is not syncing?
What happens when you try to sync?
What computer OS and version do you have? What version of Itunes is installed?
What is the model and iOS of the iPods?
Is the new iPod seen in iTunes on the computer? -
There's a few thousand purchases on there so I want to be 100% sure otherwise it will cost me a fortune!
I'm using the latest version of iTunes & the computer I'm on is authorised on my Apple ID.If they're available through the process described in the article from which you came here, no, there will be no additional charge. Note, however, that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. You can see what content you can download here:

Audiobooks are not available for redownloading in any country.

How do I get the sync of my 3GS on my computer to transfer everything (files, apps, etc.) to my new iphone4? And then how do I move the sync to a newer computer so I can sync the new phone with the new computer?
My 3GS is dying and it's synced to an older computer. I have tons of datafiles as well as apps, music, text messages, etc. that I need to get moved to the new iphone4 I'm getting. Then I need to move the sync to a newer computer so that I can sync the new phone and new computer.
I understand how to get my apps to transfer to a new pc. That's not the issue. It's getting ALL the data from the 3GS to the 4 and then to a new computer.
Thanks. Thanks much, that's very helpful for step one (getting old phone onto new phone). Very clear.
However, I still have the problem of moving to the new computer. How do I move the sync to the new computer after the new phone is set up? -
Just need some help. As the question says I need to transfer all my numbers pictures videos onto my new iPhone 5c from my 4s but as the laptop I would use has already got my partners iPhone linked to it I can't back it up as it just syncs all there stuff onto it to. How else can I do this without linking it to the computer?
What does the family WiFi have to do with iCloud? iCloud is on Apple's servers.
If it is a shared computer what you can do is create a new user ID on the computer. Log in with the new ID. This will give you a "clean" iTunes library that you can use for backing up the the old phone and syncing the new phone. -
Please help...syncing my new phone to my computer and it is not working!
I bought a new iPhone today...The phone is set up on itunes on my laptop which is really crappy...I want to set it up on my desktop computer but when i hook it up, it says someone elses phone is synced with the library...Is there a way to delete the old library so I can sync my new phone to it? Please and thank you!
Welcome to the discussions,
every time you change your computer/iTunes library, the new iTunes will erase the content on your device and replace it with the content of the new library.
To save your data, apps and other media, perform a manual backup before you sync. Here's how to:
Set up your iTunes account on your new PC, disable autosync in itunes, connect your phone, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures taken with the phone and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your phone got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.
