HT4623 i updated my IOS on my i[hone and now i cannot use my iphone again. i just dont understand why u guys would make something to add more problems to users
My iphone is not working anymore, I cannot see anything i once had on it after uodating it via itune when connecting it to my laptop.
If I had known, i would never have downloaded the update.
You guys are causing more problem than help.
Guess its time for me to go and buy samsung. You guys are making your product more difficult to use and causing more harm than good. How can I get back all my data now?

Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Contacts are NOT part of the iTunes backup. If you had read the User Guide when you got your phone, you would have learned that Apple recommends you synch your contacts for safekeeping to your computer (Outlook, Address Book) or a cloud service. Using the phone as your only source of your contacts is foolish as the phone can easily be lost, damaged, stolen, or the data become corrupt.
If you've been using your phone as strongly recommended, your contacts are safe and sound on your computer or cloud service ready to be synched back to your phone. Of course, you should be backing up your computer regularly as well.
If you haven't been doing this, your contacts are likely gone. -

I have installed the beta version of 6.1 a month ago and now i cannot open my iphone 5 it needs regestration and when i try to register it says that it couldnt complete and i need to register in the developer what can i do now to reopen my device?
Probably wasn't a good idea to install beta software on a device when you're not a developer.
Apple clearly states that beta software is not to be installed on production devices.
Not really much you can do except wait for iOS 6.1 to be officially released and then install it. -

Before and after doign a system software update or upgrade Repair Disk Permissions in Disk Utility. You can find DU in Applications-Utilities-Disk Utilties. Run in 2x back to back.

please can someone tell me what to do so i can be able to use my iphone again after updating the ios 6.1.3 software i cant do anything with mt phone again apart from being able to make emergency calls. please help. at first it was a hearing problem when i recieve or make a call after the software update and now there is no way i could even do anything with it.

Error trying to Update iPhone, now I cannot use my iPhone!!!!!!!!
I plugged my iphone into my computer, clicked "Check for Updates" and it downloaded the software and installed it.. and then while it was "Verifying Software Update" it gets an error saying "The iphone "iPhone" could not be updated. An unknown error occured. (6)"
Then a picture of itunes and a usb cable shows up on my iphone screen.
So I unlug it and plug it back in, and itunes then says "Itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes."
So, I click OK and thn Restore. Then it says "Are you sure you want to restore your iphone "iphone" to it's factory settings? All of your media and other data will be erased, and the newest version of the iphone software will be installed." So I click "Restore and Update" (because if I click cancel, I still can't do anything but click restore, and it gives the same message everytime.)
So, once I click Restore and Update, it then starts that process. Then I get another error in the middle of it "Verifying Software" saying "The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occured. (6)" I then click OK. Itunes again no longer finds my device and my iphone screen shows ituness and a usb cable.
NOW I CANNOT TURN MY IPHONE ON, BECAUSE WHEN I DO ALL I SEE IS THE ITUNES PICTURE AND A USB CABLE. I happen to be a fortunate sole as my phone was ONLY 21 days old....I took it to nearest dealer after techs could not resolve the issue...it would not go past 'verifying phone software'....I was given a FULL refund, thank goodness....no more IPHONE for me...back to the ole faithful 'razor' phone..one thing a tech tried was other than the obvious, while plugging your cord into port HOLD down the HOME button at same time and it could FORCE the phone into recovery mode...didn't work for me but might for you guys....very pathetic...have an aunt in SLC, Utah...up for an upgrade in November and with this she's OPTED to maintain her current phone and contract with other carrier....I don't think this is very good for Apple or AT&T....for those of you lucky enough to still be up and running, the only thing I can say is make sure you have a backup OFTEN...FYI, my original contacts on my sim card that was transferred from my old phone were STILL THERE....good luck everybody, I'm out of here....

I finally broke down and bought a writing/drawing tablet. It wouldn't work because I needed a new operating system. I upgraded to Yosimite, but now I cannot use any adobe product because Java needs to be updated, and I have the latest version. what do I do? can I roll an older operating system in to be able to use my programs?
Which Java did you update to. The version you need is Apple's Java for OS X 2014-001. The Oracle version is not what Adobe's apps require.

Changing Primary only as default setting?
Is there any way to change the default setting so that it's not on Primary only by when opening Aperture? I find this really annoying and would rather toggle this setting when needed, rather than the other way around. Thanks for any advice!
