HT4623 IOS 8.02 is very slow on iPad 2

Since I Update my IPad 2, I have lost speed in the apps and the general function of the iPad, for example the apps frezzes all the time, the change between apps its very slow and when i open and close apps folders it frezzes! How can I come back to previous IOS version? The IOS is very slow! There´s not solution, i tried connecting to iTunes, putting off the device and restarting and closing the opened apps at background.

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

  • Calendar on iPhone 3G iOS 4.1 still very slow to open

Since I went from iOS 3 to the terrible 4 also my iPhone 3G has been very slow.
The biggest problem however seems isolated: when I open the Calendar app, it takes a very long time for it to open. Initially it opens as quick as it used to, however then the screen goes blank with only the calendar header available. Then after what could be 10 to 20 seconds the app is functioning is again and the screen is filled with my calendar data. This happens every time I start the app.
I have just now updated to 4.1 to see if this issue is solved, but there has been no improvement here.
My Calendar is synced through MobileMe and I have 2 calendars. Before iOS 4 it worked perfectly well and smooth.
Am I the only one with this problem? If yes, could I solve it by a Recovery action and rebuild the iPhone?

Hi there! Same problem here. In April 2010 I bought my iPhone 3G with iOS 3.1.3 and I was enthusiast. Updating to iOS 4 I experienced poor performance of a sluggish phone with core apps working slowly. Updating to iOS 4.1 brought me back a responsive phone, but also the calendar issue. I've always used the List View and starting the app I realized that the list was empty. Quickly changing to Day/Month View and back to List View is a workaround I discovered by myself, but it's not what I expect from an Apple product. I've always synced my iPhone with my MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2009 shipped with Snow Leopard. Is anyone in Cupertino able to help people in this thread? Thanks in advance.

  • Safari is very slow on iPad 2 running iOS 5.1.

I'm running ios 5.1.1 on my iPad 2. For the past few days, safari has been very slow. it can take 20 seconds for a web page to load. If I force quit, it gets better for a short time, but then the problem starts up again.

  • HT1222 IoS 8 downloading is very slow and estimated time is upto 16 hrs? What to do?

IoS 8 is not downloading in my mobile?
I have iPhone 5 mobile what to do plz help?

    Hello there Sayed Shah Jehan,
It sounds like your iOS update is downloading too slow. Take a look at this information from the following article, about troubleshooting over the air downloads:
Resolve issues with an over-the-air iOS update
Download takes a long time, or you can't reach update server
iOS updates require a persistent Internet connection, and the time it takes to download the update will vary according to the size of the update and your Internet speed. You can use your device normally while downloading the iOS update, and iOS will notify you when you can install the update. To improve the speed of the download, avoid downloading other content.
If you get a message that "an error occurred downloading iOS," try again later. If the issue persists, try updating your device in another network or use iTunes to update your device. Learn more about iOS updates.
    Update does not complete
If you're installing the update and the progress bar appears to move slowly, be patient. The time an update takes depends on the size of the update and the number of files on the device.
When you're updating over the air, keep your device connected to a power source so that it doesn't run out of power. If your device does run out of power, connect it to a power source and turn on the device to let the update or restore complete.
If the update never completes and the progress bar hasn't moved for an extended time, try restarting your device. If you still see the issue after you restart, see what to do if your device appears frozen or won't start.
You can also use iTunes on your computer to update your iPhone, so that is an option as well:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch iOS software
The 'Update your device using iTunes' section speficially.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • ITunes store very slow on iPad and iphone

Same problem as all you guys, last week noticed iTunes very slow on iPhone 4s and 3 rd gen iPad, phoned Apple yesterday, after being told to restore ( real pain) I was told- because I have 5000 songs on iTunes match the system is overloading, !!!!
I use my iPad as a control pad with AirPlay, I bought a 16g iPad because of icoud being able to store my music without filling up all the iPad memory, WHY SAY 20,000 FREE on iCloud if it can't handle a quarter of this?
Something stinks here, two weeks ago everything worked well, I haven't added to library since then, so why is it now struggling?
I hate when problems occur, the way Apple act as though they aren't aware, just admit it, tell us you are working on it.
So as it stands, it's my fault for BUYING to many songs....... I know how to fix that...... won't be buying anymore.
Ps,  also have same problem on my 3rd gen iPad.

I'm observing the same problem. iTunes is nearly frozen, especially podcasts make the system extremely slow, no downloads possible at all. Opening an album song list is also painfully slow. All this prevents me from buying from the store. Apple should be interested in this. Please note that I'm not using iTunes match!

  • [PSA]iPod touch 4g untouched iOS 6.1.6 very slow, battery drain EVEN AFTER DFU RESTORE?

Hi guys, I wanted to report that updating your iPod touch 4th generation to iOS 6.1.6 will surely fix some security flaws, whi8le it will make your device super slow. It's frustrating. The battery on moderate / airplane usageisedlast almost 5 hours before it turns off completely and now it barely does 4! On iOS 6.1.5 it wasn't fast at all but yet acceptable. Lots of people tell that the fastest APt***s iOS 6 version (iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, 6.1.5 and 6.1.6) is iOS 6.1.5...
It's getting very frustrating, expecially in terms of battery life. Come on, this iPod touch is ony one year old and it came on iOS 6.0.1, so it was new, also ensured with online verification tools! I regret everything about updating.
So guys, if you were looking forward to updating your device, do not do it. Seriously, it will make it worse. It's unusable!
Everybody will tell me to erase my iPod. Well, I did it countless times. This time I even did a DFU restore thinking iOS 6.1.6 was better, while it wasn't. And there is no going back, if not putting your device into a stupid state in which you have to plug it in to your computer each time you want to turn it on. This update ruined my iPod.
I'm not expecting any assistance anymore, just a notice for you all:
DO NOT UPDATE. DO NOT UPDATE. DO NOT UPDATE.
p.s: I already tried optimizing settings and turning off every not needed feature also in restrictions.
    Regards, @Haduken2g

Lol… my device is only one year old and I'm having problems since my warranty expired… this seems so suspicious… I'm not even sure if my next product will be traded Apple. More than unsure, it's very very likely. The first time in a 4 years Apple user experience that DFU didn't solve my software based problems. I would return to iOS 4 not if it was just for me.

  • Why iOS 5.0 is very slow in iPod touch 4G?

i have a iPod touch 4G and with iOS 5 , my iPod with iOS 5 is extremely slow !  i'am disapointed !!!!!   if you have iPod touch 4g  , dou you have this probleme?
    Thanks,
    Marc-Antoine P.

my 4g runs faster with iOS5. But then again I have turned of lots of options that I don't like or don't use .
If in doubt you can do a clean restore by wiping the complete ipod - enter DFU mode and connect to itunes, that's how I installed my iOS5.
Also it is very important to only have compatible apps installed and also to manage the settings for all the apps. In fact most iOS devices start slowing down if too many apps are running in the background, always close them properly. The ipod has only 256MB of memory, only half of what the iphone has , although the rest of the hardware is nearly identical ( except for the camera ).

  • After update my Ipad3 in IOS7 , i have an issue when changing wallpaper IOS hanging and system very slow

system hanging and laggy , my IOS6 was very fast on my IPad3 , please i need solution .

When I change background or lockscreen there is a hang/pause of about 10 seconds then my iPad 3 is totally responsive again. If I hadn't read a review which mentioned this, I might have freaked out. I notice no difference is the speed of my iPad between iOS 6 and iOS 7 and my iPad is working perfectly.
Having said that, I had a disastrous upgrade experience with iOS 6 on my wife's iPad and ultimately did a factory restore. It was time consuming but once completed her iPad worked as well as mine. You might consider performing a factory reset.
The battery life of my iPad doesn't seem unchanged but depending on what devices you use with it and whether yours is WiFi only (like mine) or uses a data plan, those are two battery eaters. You should also check preferences that involve location aware applications and push notifications. I have noticed my phone is getting a bit less battery time and I'm still playing with the settings on it. My next step is turning BT off except when I'm in the car (my phone pairs to the car which is very handy).

  • IOS 8 very slow with iPad 2.

Any suggestions on how I can speed it up?

Poke around in the settings. There's a lot of stuff that's defaulted to on that you may not need. Notifications for example, not only in the noification center but also in the apps themselves (settings, scroll down to the apps, explore the privacy and notification settings)
Look into background app update and background app refresh. These may be running in the background.
Close down extra running apps that you may not need. Double tap the home button, flick the previews up and off the screen to close any apps you don't need.  Single tap the home button to exit the mode.
Turn off the predictive type in the keyboard settings.
basically, turn off any extra bells and whistles that you may not need, as well as shut down extra apps to free up as many resources as possible for what you need  your device to do.

  • Using Facebook very slow at ipad 3

Using facebook over ios 7 for ipad 3 very slow

If you'd like to try giving Firefox another go, there are a few things we can do that will speed it up:
    * Scan for malware. Some malware targets specific browsers or websites and can cause issues. Scanning for malware and deleting it will help improve your security and performance. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]
    * Update your graphics driver. [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
    * Update your plugins. https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/
    * Make sure Windows is up to date.
    * Try the steps listed in [[Firefox is slow - How to make it faster]]
I hope these help! Also, if you want to use Google as your search engine in Firefox instead of Yahoo, it's easy to switch. [[Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox]]

  • Keynote Very Slow on iPad

    Hi,
I have a 3rd Gen iPad 64 GB Wifi + Cellular with about 16 GB left in free space. Currently, I have about 275 MB of powerpoint slides for Keynote on iCloud. Whenever I run keynote it is extremely slow in scrolling, opening the slides, opening the different folders, etc.
Is it really because the 3rd Gen iPad can't handle this many powerpoint slides? It doesn't seem to me it should be this slow.
    Thanks.

Keynote is the worst app developed by APPLE. ..If Steve Jobs was still alive...he would have not allowed this app surface up in app store. Requested refund for this useless app.. but customer service of Apple has become worse than DELL nowadays...They are humans with robotic attitude.... Apple will go back to its original form 30 years back.. Sorry to see this happen..Steve Jobs... I still respect you..

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
The following article(s) may help you.
    Troubleshooting WiFi Networks
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.
