HT4623 iOS7 downloaded and now my screen is all white
I downloaded iOS7 and now all of a sudden my screen is all white, nothing happened to the phone during installation it literally sat right next to me the whole time. What do I do? My lock button is broken so I can't reset it.

Thanks for the question. If you have not done so already, it may be appropriate to restore your iPhone with iTunes and reinstall iOS 7. If you have trouble, you can do so in recovery mode:

If none of the 5 R's of troubleshooting are able to solve the problem, the issue is hardware related, meaning you'll need to have the iPod serviced or replaced. The LCD screen may have simply burned out or wore out over time.

It wouldn't also hurt to the let iPod's battery full drain. Then charge the iPod back up and go through the 5 R's again.

I now have ios7 downloaded and I can't close all the apps that are open
With the old system I could push the button on the bottom 2x and it would show me all the open apps so I could close them, now it shows me the open apps but I can't close any of them.
Thanks for the answer. I actually figured it out about an hour after posting, but I appreciate knowing that I had done the right thing.

i dropped my iPhone 5 and my screen was already cracked but I dropped it and now my entire screen is different colors and black lines going up and down it.
It will be one or the other dependant on what is found when they analyse the iPhone

My screen is all black except that white wainting sign... what should I do? Pressing down the sleep/start button doesn't change anything.
Have you tried a reset: hold the sleep/power button and home button, ignore the slider, and let it restart.
Have you tried connecting to iTunes and see if it recognizes and can reset, not retore unless all else fails. -

Your caches may be corrupted. Try a Safe Boot by pressing the Shift key. You should see a progress bar. It's important to let this Safe Boot run its course without interruption; otherwise, you can trash the file system badly enough to require a restore from backup. (Been there, done that. Lesson learned!) -

I updated my ipad 3 with the ios7 update. Now the screen shows the itunes icon and a pic of the plug in (as to plug into itunes) When I do this it wants to restore my ipad, which I have already done. I can't get out of this screen. Any hints on what to do next?

Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -
My iPhone 4s acts like I need to plug in to iTunes and I got an error message saying it failed to download update and now the screen won't go away. USB port end on phone with arrow pointing to iTunes...

Just tried this...did not work. Resolution is still horrible. This is not an issue of it just not looking smooth or sharp. It's so much worse than that. It was actually fine right after the update. The next morning when I turned it on it was messed up. -

Well I am having the same issue and I had not had to worry about getting a "licensed charger." The poster who responded offered not real insite and was rude to boot. I am also looking for the fix on this . My iphone will not even charge now on any charger. What the heck. I have downloaded ios 7.2 update for my ipad and now my screen is locked and shows a picture of a plug and the itunes symbol. Does anyone have advice to fix this frustrating problem? I have seen help online for iphones, but none for ipads. The screen will not budge. I have tried holding down the power and home buttons at the same time, to no avail. While updating the firmware Update, i disrubted the download and now my macbook won't start up! Any suggestions on how to fix it? i only see a black screen and when i press the power button i hear the noise that it would make if it was going to start up. But i only see black.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
