HT4623 iPad 3 charging port

My ipad three has the three inch pin not the lightning charger. On the apple website it clearly states that the ipad three is suppose to have the lightning adapter. Is my ipad defective or something?

No, the iPad 4 has the lightning charge port. The iPad 3 has the older 30 pin connector. The confusion happens because the 3rd gen has been discontinued and both the 3rd and 4th generation units are referred to as iPad Retina.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

I have had your exact problem with my old 3GS, now I cannot even get it to turn on, I still see that it is supposed to be charging though, but it never charges any so it seems.
I replaced the Lower Dock Connector Assembly back when it still charged while hooked to my PC, and it found it made no real difference.

My iPhone 5c and iPad mini won't charge. Can both charger ports be broken at the same time?

MMy iPhone 5c is dead and wont charge. My iPad mini also won't charge. So I thought it was my charge wire or charging block might be the proble. I've used other wores and other blocks and also plugged it into by laptop and neither are charging. So it would see that the charging port is broken on both. But it seems odd that both would break on the same day. Both are under a year old and I only ever use official Apple charging devises. Help!

It sounds like your iPhone 5c and iPad mini are not charging. It does seem odd that both devices are not charging from multiple chargers.
There are a few more steps that may help you charge your devices. Next, I'd try steps 1, 2, 4 and 5 from the article If you can’t charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
If the battery doesn’t charge, unplug your device and try these steps:
Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
If you're using a USB power adapter, make sure it's plugged in all the way and the power outlet is working. If you're connecting to a computer, make sure it's on and can charge your device. To charge an iPad, you might need to use a USB power adapter and plug into a power outlet.
Try a different USB cable, USB power adapter, or USB port.
If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, reset your device.
If your devices still don't charge after trying all of these steps, the article suggests contacting Apple Support:

How much does it cost to get a new charging port in my iPad 1

My iPad 1 charging port at the bottom is slightly wobbly and I was wondering if it would be possible to fix it and if so how much wound it cost ?

I don't know what you mean by "poor battery life". If your iPad is working properly you should get 9-10 hours of life.

However, I'm guessing that incompatible RAM is the likely problem, especially if the problem goes away when you revert to the original RAM. It's worth mentioning that there have been many, many reports on here where users have experienced KP's after upgrading to 32gb of RAM. Swapping the RAM for a known 'good' brand usually solves the problem.

There is a problem with the charging cable that wont let my iPad charge. it is probably the little usb thingy. it does charge when it is out of power, but as soon as it turns on it stops charging. anyone got a fix for it? mail me at simenrognli@hotmail.no

How do I get the charging port cover open on my I-pad, so that I can insert the charger?

There is no charging port cover on the iPad. Do you have a case on your iPad? It may have a cover. If so, you'll need to consult any documentation that came with the case.

Found a dead spider in my charging port (iphone 4) this morning. Now phone wont charge at all... What can I do? It's now all totally cleared of lint and legs :/

This morning my phone wouldnt charge, I tried three different charging cables. They are lighting up to show they are working, but the phone does not charge or show a symbol or connect to the computer.
So i cleaned out the lint from inside the charging port. and inside all the chargers, some of them were new off the shelf so would not be the problem.
I found a dead spider inside the port. Have blown into it, thoroughly cleaned with a needle any debris and fluff and spider legs etc...
It still wont charge. I have ten percent battery... it's off for now. It is not covered for a chat with apple at all, unless i pay $40 which is crazy expensive.
Any ideas of what to do to save this phone? Obviously i cant back it up because it wont plug in to anything.
For now it is not on charge, just trying to let it dry out.
Probably i squashed this spider when plugging it in. therefore there could be spider guts all ruining the inside? I don't know how the ports are made. Up until not charging
there were no issues at all.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

Seems as if your tried changing everything but the 30-pin cable. Does the same cable work if you connect the iPad to your PC (does the PC recognize that the iPad is plugged in)?
Inspect the 30-pin port on the iPad for dust/lint which likes to get trapped inside. Clean out/blow out the 30-pin port on the iPad using a soft brush (like a paint brush).
Also inspect and clean the 30-pin connector on the cable. Even just a small amount of dust or lint on the connectors (especially in the 30-pin port on the device) can cause charging issues.
