HT4623 ipad shutdown by IOS7 update

I just updated my ipad2 for IOS7, the ipad shut down (battery is 90%) and when I turn it on, it just show the itunes picture and then shut down again. can anyone help ?

THat means it wants to be plugged into a computer to use iTunes.
Do you normally plug it into a computer to sync?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

A first generation iPad can only be upgraded to iOS 5.1.1 and no higher.
If you are still running iOS 4, you cannot upgrade over the air, as that feature was only introduced with iOS 5. You would have to plug the iPad into your computer and use iTunes to upgrade, see:

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

IPad restore error iOS7 update

Hi all
just updated my iPad and plugged it into iMac/iTunes - now I have an error from iTUnes saying that iPad is in 'restore mode'
the ipad is not starting and just shows a diagram stating plug into itunes.
what shall i do? have had to restore ipad to factory settings, not impressed

Pressing both switches dosn't work either. Need instructions to restart the ipad 2.

iOS 7 prompts you to create a passcode after you update. You can skip this step but the option to skip is not prominent.
Do you remember the passcode you set?
If not or if it is already disabled then:
Forgotten Passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

what can you do when you interrupt your update and when you try and finish it, the update does now show up on your settings>

try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again and tr again. if that doesnt work, try updateing via itunes

iPad mini with IOS7 updated yesterday is showing 35 unread emails on my yahoo account using the mail account on the iPad. All other yahoo accounts including the yahoo mail app DO NOT show 35 unread emails.
1) I have added and deleted the yahoo account several times with no luck
2) rebooted iPad with no luck
3) iPad 2 with same yahoo account added DOES NOT show 35 unread emails.
Any suggestions on what is causing this?

Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings
