HT4623 Iphone and ipad syncing issues

both my iphone and ipad stopped syncing with my computer (pc). The ipad never charged from my pc anyway but the iphone did. anyone else having this issue?

I fugured out that deleting from iPad does not delete from iPhone and whatever data is there is cloud will be retained for iPhone.

Regarding the USB, see if zapping the PRAM helps.

IPhone and iPad iMessage issues...

I'm having a bit of an issue here and I assume it's on my end. Out of the blue, and only with particular contacts, a handful, when I message them my message goes through as an iMessage however they can only respond as a text. This happens on my iPhone and iPad. However, if I send using a default email to start the conversation, it works fine. So it's just with my phone number. Everyone else in my address book who has iMessage has absolutely no issues with this. I am at a loss. Myself and the people who this is happening to has turned off and on iMessage, restarted our devices, reset some settings, deleted the contact info and added new and nothing seems to work. If anyone has any ideas, I would be very appreciative of it.

I am trying to sync my iphone4 calendar to my new ipad and icloud. Newly entered events are syncing properly on the ipad, iphone, and icloud. However, I cannot get my previoulsy entered events and recurring events from my iphone to sync with icloud/ipad.

Welcome to the Apple community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

I'm experiencing a log in issue on my MBA since installing ML this morning. However, I am able to sign into iCloud via my iPhone, iPad and on the web without issue. This only occurs when I attempt to go into iCloud setting in system pref's... I have attempted to change my password and also reloaded iCloud. Neither of these actions resolved the issue. When I open iCloud preferences in system preferences on my Mac, it prompts me to enter my appleID and password. Once entered, it just hangs...
What exactly did you do (verified your apple ID/iCloud but in a very difficult way)?

Hi,
In the Finder use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears when you do this.
Navigate to Containers/com.apple.soagent/Data/Library/Preferences
You will notice that many of the items are Aliases (to the Originals in ~/Library/Preferences).
But there are exceptions.
Delete (Drag to Trash) the com.apple.soagent.plist and com.apple.messageshelper.AccountInfoController.plist
Restart the Mac (I have not worked out is SOAgent launches when the Mac does).
Restart Messages.
If this does not work navigate to ~/Library/Preferences
In here find and Delete com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist
This will need a Restart of the app.
You will be asked Again for your Apple ID

Itunes and ipad sync issues

I synced my ipad to itunes. Now my ipad has a black screen with teh itunes logo and sync cord. I tried turning it on and off but I still have the error message.

Sounds like it reset. Have you tried re-syncing? I find sometimes I have to turn off the computer and re-sync without doing anything else.

Why don't my iPhone and iPad sync wirelessly anymore?

I just started college and ever since I got here, my phone and iPad 4 have not been syncing with iTunes wirelessly and it drives me crazy. I have wifi here and they're all connected to the same network...what might be preventing this from working?

Settings>iCloud>Photo Stream>On. Do that on both devices. Or Settings>Photos and Camera>Photo Stream>On.
Photo Stream will only work with new photos that you have taken with either device - after you turn it on. It will not stream photos that were on the device before you turned it on.
And of course, you must be connected to Wifi in order for it to work.

IPhone and iPad sync session in iTunes won't begin

The most recent time I have attempted to sync my iPhone 4S and my iPad2 in iTunes on my Mac, the following happens. iTunes recognizes the device, the little "turning arrow" appears and the sync window shows "Waiting to begin sync". This persists for 15-20 seconds and then I get the message that sync was not completed because sync session did not begin. This is true for both Wi-Fi and USB attempts. I have not had trouble previously with either device on my Mac. What's the deal?

Having trouble with iphone and ipad syncing

Just got my iphone. Trying to get music on it. Only problem is that my daughter has an ipad that wants to sync all of her apps on to my iphone. the music is ok because its in a playlist. The apps try to sync even though I have checked it to not sync the apps. Dont know how to seperate the two different itunes. Also having trouble getting itunes to recognize my card number to purchase music.

Well, if "deleted the account" actually means simply removed using that account on the iPad, and if the account turns out to be an iCloud account, then you would have no problem.
Simply go to Settings > iCloud on your iPad and turn on Notes.
But you've given us so little information (e.g., was your account in iCloud? Dles "deleted" actually simply mean removed from iPad?) that it's hard to tell if this would actually solve your particular issue.

Iphone and Camera Syncing Issues

When I plug in my Iphone to my MacBook I get an error message that reads "Syncing has been disabled on this Machine". Then when I click "Override" It states that it cannot be done. Then the iphone will start sycing. When I plug in either of my two cameras the computer does not recognize them at all, not allowing me to upload any photos. Almost as if nothing has been plugged into the USB Port. This also happens with Printers. It does not recognize that a printer is plugged into the USB port, therefore does not allow me to print anything.
What should I do?

My best advice would be to look first to see whether or not the calendar on your MBP agrees with the one on MobileMe - I'm betting you'll find issues there for which the phone is just a display medium. It will probably be necessary for you to reset your sync data and clean out either the iCal data or the data in MM Calendar.

Iphone and ical syncing issues

My iphone 3GS seems to be creating double all of the ical entries? I have recently updated to the new mobileme calendar but this was happening just before also.
I enter ical events on both my mac book pro and my iphone. Ical does not double the events but the iphone does.

HT4910 Does both my iphone and ipad sync and so use only space for one on icloud, or does it needlessly copy everything twice? How do I archive photos and only carry latest to minimize icloud storage.

Trying to cut down on storage in icloud. How do I leave all but last two years of photos on pc and remove from icloud? Samsung i7 syncs docs, calendr & photos with ipad and iphone 5s. Do these replicate same photos, docs etc in icloud storage or do they sync and then store? My storage has doubled for some reason. I have cut back on what I backup, but numbers still huge. Photo stream photos don't use any of your iCloud storage, only camera roll photos do, which are included in your iCloud backup.
You can see some of what is using your storage by going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage. The backup also includes text messages, so if you have lots of photos and videos in your messages this can drive up the size of your backup.

My iPhone and iPad synced fine to my computer this morning using iTunes 10. After uninstalling iTunes 10 in the recommended order (bit by bit in the order suggested by Apple) and installing the proper 64 bit iTunes 11, iTunes no longer recognizes either.

The cord works fine, as it synced fine this morning. The computer works fine, as I have other USB drivers that have no installation issues. I have no major firewalls or security software in place. Literally the only thing that has changed is my version of iTunes, which was installed perfectly.
This, by the way, is not an isolated incident. Every attempt I make to upgrade to iTunes 11 goes the same way, and the utter lack of a satisfactory response by every Apple tech support I've gone to has been frustrating enough to make me consider ditching my Apple products, exclusively supporting their competitors, and recommending that my friends and family do the same.

i hade just the same on my pc with windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.1.4. I could sync over Wi-Fi but not over USB.
i did the following: remove "iTunes", "apple software update", "apple mobile device support" and "apple application support". then download iTunes new and install it. After installation all removed software should be back again.
Try now iTunes - it solved the problem on my pc. greetings eddych
