You will need to restore the software via the following procedure:
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

Second day after updating to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4, my contacts have duplicated. Probably not all but many, and my contacts already numbered in the thousands.
Please tell me there is an easy fix to this problem!! I already had to go through contact-by-contact when I bought this phone and added contacts from my Blackberry and MS Outlook on the phone. Many duplicated at that time and Apple said the only fix was to go through each one and decide to keep or delete. I really don't want to do that again!I had this problem while I had iOS 5.1.1 installed for many months. Fortunately I only have about 150 contacts and only about half of them duplicated. I found that my problem was the way thing were set up in Outlook. I removed all of the duplicates and corrected everything in Outlook contacts (ignoring the address book) and have not had the problem since, Hope this helps.

How do i get my photos back, if I didn't back up my iPhone 5 and now its in recovery mode after updating from iOS 8.0.1 to iOS 8.0.2?
In you case, the only way is to use data recovery app to get back your lost photos, so the chance is uncertain. It depends on how smart the app it's. The good news is that most of the apps allow you to try them out. You can test them out by yourself. The steps are:
Install data recovery app on your computer
connect your iPhone and allow the app scan iphone
display scanning result
choose local folder to store recovered items
You can choose to recover your photos from local disk, iTunes backup or icloud. More details can be found out here. -

AFTER UPDATING THE IOS 8 IN MY IPHONE THE PHONE MEMORY REDUCED TO 5.5 GB WHICH IS VERY LOW COMPARED TO 8GB. IWANT DEGRADE IT TO IOS 7.1.2
You must have upgraded the device directly through WIFi, restore your device via ITUNES and thats gonna work, it will reduce the space occupied by the new software installation

Yes I updated via wifi. And no...everything seemed to work fine. But I alsa had a problem with my photos..mostly on my iPhone. I had like 900 or so photos saved on my photo stream..and I used that to hold all my photos, rightt? CUZ I could delete pics from my camera roll but they'd still be on my photo stream Well now after I updated. THEY ARE ALL GONE. And I'm really sad. I don't know how to get those pics Back.

after updating to IOS 6, I went out to mow my yard and listen to my music via bluetooth headset as I have done all summer. But to my surprise there was no longer a playlist not one!!!!! so after mowing and listening to one album I tried turning on Match and now I have 2 of every playlist.
I realize that there will be a few glitches when upgrading a new system. I would like to see Apple come up with a simple way to contact Apple to let them know about these new problems. This is only one of them and there are a few more on the iphone and even more on the newest ipad.
for instance I buy 64gb iphones and ipads, because I do not want to stream my photos or music I do not always have access to wifi or cellular. Plus with over 5,000 songs and 15,000 photos it takes to long so I want to store them and us sync to save changes. I have a very advanced setup. with outdoor entertainment around the pool "covered" in the party room, in the house, in the RV outside the RV. The list goes on. I want my picturesand music stored!!!! not all Streamed. when ever we try to stream pictures or music for one of my parties there are freezes and hangups. Not something I like when I have 60- 100 friends over. Storeing all this to a device should be easy when I USB it to my IMAC!!!! also when I take pictures around my party and then the Apple TV fails to keep up streaming I plug the iphone into a source to the stereo's and the **** thing starts sending all my photo stream through the wifi to the computer and now it will not play music or photos until it is finished. Here I go again with all these guest saying I thought you said apple was better!!!!! we need to be able to select when we want sync to happen to prevent this with out turning off icoud or phot stream.I am back with an update. I turned off Match on both the ipad and the iphone 5. By doing so I was able to sync my Iphone and ipad to itunes and store the music on my devices rather than the slow streaming. So far this has fixed my problems with the iphone I have all my music, playlist, most of the album art and so on. But the ipad is a different story. I have the music and artist but not one playlist I am sure Apple will have an upgrade soon that will address these issues they are usually very good about this.
Now have any of you experienced another problem that has existed as long as I have used faces in Aperture.
I have over 200 faces and they are organized a-z problem is I have this going on A-Z folowed by a few that start over A-Z followed by another few A-Z and again a 4th time A-Z. Imagine how difficult it is while I am showing someone the great features of my iphone, ipad and imac. Which I do talk highly of all the time. But how do I explain that even though their name starts with a or b or what ever they are not important enough to me to be in the first list of A-Z or even the 2nd or 3rd list of A-Z someohow they are in the 4th section of the list!!!!
I have managed to get the Imac to fix this but for some reason the IOS devices do not. Any ideas?

3 months back I upgraded from iPhone 4s to 5s and realised 4s is a much better phone. It gave me longer battery life of around 8.30 hrs of usage on 2g and 7 hrs on 3G but 5s was giving me only 7 hours of usage on 2g and 5 hours on 3g but since I've updated it to ios 7.1 my battery ***** even more. It takes longer to charge and shorter to drain. Now I get only 4 hours usage on 2g and somewhat 3hrs roughly on 3G and it takes around 3 hours to charge where awe it used to take only 100 minutes perfectly. I don't know what's wrong with apple. I was a huge apple fan when I had my 4s but now I'm disappointed. But worst thing comes last night, I usually lose around 10% due to my network's pop up messages overnight but last night i lost 37%. When I got up and checked usage it shows me 6 hrs 30 minutes usage but I haven't used my phone since I was sleeping. Hope a new update releases soon to patch this but till that some advices on saving battery would be appreciated, thank you.
Please be more specific. What have you tried already? Please follow the below steps as described also in another topic by Nathan.
1. Hard reset hold both buttons until Apple logo appears.
2. Restore from an iTunes sync and backup. This made a difference for a lot of peopel, battery life got much better.
3. Limit push notifications (apps and e-mail accounts - set e.g. e-mail to fetch once an hour) to those you really need.
4. Limit location services to those you really need, and watch to see if the indicator comes up.
5. Get the app System Activity Monitor to look for a runaway process that is using a lot of CPU.
6. Suggestion by others to reset all settings.
7. Suggestion by others that iCloud may be involved, and to try to turn off some iCloud settings.
8. Limit or turn off 'background app refresh'.
9. Add apps back in carefully to identify an offending app that is causing CPU or network activity that kills battery life.
10 Also make sure that e-mail is fetched (e.g. every hour) or set to manual instead of pushed.
11 Do you have a good carrier reception? Have you tried to manual set your carrier within your iPhone instead of the 'automatic'?
12 Have you checked if the timezone is set to manual instead of automatic and see if this makes a difference in battery use?
In my case it was a bug with an app that caused the battery drain. I also noticed that the use and stand-by time were exactly the same which is ofcourse not correct. This was all caused by this app which was using GPS tracking all the time. Unfortunately an app such as System Activity Monitor did not indicate that in my case but someone posted this solution on a Dutch forum that the previous version of the app 'Scoupy' had a bug and caused this battery drain.
If you haven't tried every single one of these, please do not post that battery life is terrible. -
After updating to IOS8, my iPad 2, which has both AT&T cellular and wifi, needs to be completely turned off and rebooted to get cellular service. Does anyone else have this issue ?

After updating to IOS 7 I can't see an purchased apps
After updating to IOS 7 on my iPad 4 when I go to the App Store and click on Purchased, the Purchased tab is completely empty and when I go to the App Store I see the price for the app I already own. When I click on the price of that app I get either You already purchased this item or You already own a previous version of this item and in either case I get prompted to download this item or update for free. The previously purchased apps doesn't have the iCloud download icon as it did in IOS 6.1.3. All of my purchases in IOS 6.1.3 does not show up in the purchased tab in IOS 7. I can see all of the purchased apps in the purchased list of iTunes 11.1.

I faced this same issue, but not from updating to iOS 7.
In my case all my music playlists disappeared. In another post I found a process which got them back, but after I'd done so I noticed that my Apps list and my books list were both empty, even though I'd bought plenty of books & apps. The following trick I discovered restored both of these lists.
1. Within iTunes, select the Apps tab within the library, to show the (empty) window of all your apps.
2. Now in a finder window, open your iTunes folder. On my computer this is in my Music folder.
3. Within the iTunes folder, locate and drag the "Mobile Applications" folder into the apps window.
Presto!!
The same thing worked for finding the missing books, except that the books folder is stored one level deeper, within the iTunes Music folder, and of course I dragged it into the books window.
I don't know if it matters, but I'm still running OSX 10.6.8 because I have use some legacy OSX apps that won't run in anything more recent, but my iTunes version is 11.1.4.

I have an Iphone 4s factory unlocked. I got At&t again and after updating to iOS 6.0 my iphone its not working propertly. I dont have the carriers option nor Im able to face time using cellular data. Any suggestions!?
Do you have an AT&T carrier file number showing? The only time you can use Facetime on AT&T cellular is if you are using one of their Shared Data plans. While they have not locked your phone, it appears their carrier file is in control of your device when you have the AT&T SIM card in there.
